Announcement – Jonathan announces the passing of his mother Barbara (Hannah) Cahn at the age of 98. Barbara was a prodigy, entering college at the age of fifteen, getting her Bachelor’s, Master’s Degrees, and then finishing her PHD/Doctorate in chemistry at 23.

She met her husband, a refugee from Hitler’s Germany, while both were studying for their PHDs in chemistry. She was, as well, an accomplished pianist, performing with orchestras throughout her life. But most of all, she was a loving, caring, and gentle mother.

She departed this life surrounded by peace and love. She is survived by Jonathan, and her two daughters, Nancy and Janet, her granddaughters, Arianna, Nicole, and Gabrielle, and her grandsons, Eliel, Dael, and Mishael.

  1. My deepest condolences Jonathan. You prayed for my mother Esther now 96 in a video while we were in Galilee in 2023 and I can only image the loss of your dear mother. Praying for God’s strength and comfort for you and your family. May the Lord embrace and sustain you and your family🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  2. Dear Rabbi Jonathan Cahn,

My deepest condolences to you and your family. May God bring love and peace to you all.
A mother’s love is always with her children.
Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know.
But her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on, like a legacy of love that will always be with you.
May that love surround you now and bring you peace.
