The political spirit in the church may be doing more damage than any of us realize. I’m often stunned at the cold, heartless retorts and accusations hurled by professing Christians at those who endorse opposing political views. This is much more than a political spirit. It’s a spirit of witchcraft.
When Christians throw curses on political figures (or anyone), the enemy’s power is supercharged, and wicked schemes are strengthened.

In our ministry we often contend in fiery, strategic, life-giving intercession for the world’s influencers, including people including Pope Francis, LeBron James, Taylor Swift and, especially in this election season, individuals such as Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
Quite often, especially when inviting people to join us in prayer for Vice President Kamala Harris and others on the political Left, I hear the cold, heartless retorts. Supposed blood-bought believers come out of their skin, shocked that we would ever pray for them. Many refuse to pray, period. Others pray for God’s extreme judgment. I’ve heard others predict their soon-coming torment in the fires of hell. These national leaders are being assaulted by the enemy and cursed by the Christians.
