Joyce Meyer says it’s very easy to get upset about little things, but we need to restrain ourselves and have more self-control. Otherwise, we won’t enter into the peace and rest of God. It’s a choice.
“I want you to go home and focus on not letting the devil upset you,” Meyer says. “You’re not going to go to this conference and then go home and walk in the front door and start yelling at everybody because they didn’t do what you told them to while you were gone. And some of you have already planned it. … Now, you’re going to get a new plan. ‘God, give me grace when I walk in the house; if things are not the way I want them to be, help me handle it in a godly way.’
” … The stronger Christian is the one who makes peace first. The stronger Christian is the one who’s willing to shut up and not have the last word.”
