There has been a report of an active shooter at Arkansas State University, the school in the northeast part of the state said on its Twitter feed on Thursday, adding there have been no reports of injuries.
“The individual with a weapon has been surrounded by police. No shots have been fired, no reported injuries,” it said.
The shooter was spotted at the student union and the school advised people to evacuate the area.
