How Peace Can Create a Miracle

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). These are some of Jesus’ last words to His disciples. He knew what they were going to face in the world.

You, as a child of God, can live in peace in this world, even when there is nothing but confusion and discord in every part of the world. That is why Jesus was constantly saying to the disciples in their last days together, “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you” (John 14:25); “These things I have spoken to you that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (John 15:11); “These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble”(John 16:1); “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace…” (John 16:33).

Do you get the message? It is extremely important to your welfare that you know and understand the words that Jesus spoke while living in this world.

First John 5:4 tells us, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” Your faith in God’s Word brings healing in all areas of your life. Whatever trial you are facing, James 1:2 tells us you will fall into various trials. We are to count it all joy, knowing it is a testing of our faith. Trials are in the world, the natural realm; faith is in the spiritual realm, a spiritual force.

The test for the child of God is: do you believe and trust in God’s Word for deliverance of your trial? If you don’t know the Word of God, you certainly can’t trust and have faith in His Word.

Jesus understood the ways of the world and that, as a child of God, we have to learn to navigate the hurt, heartache and disappointment of the world. When you are born again, you are complete in Him and conversion gives you the ability to “see.”

John 3:3 tells us, “…Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” As a child of God, your spirit is born again instantly, but your soul and body must be changed by the renewing of your mind, releasing what is in you.

The Christian life is simply renewing and releasing. If your spirit and soul agree, you will experience the life of God. If your soul agrees with your body, it stops the supernatural flow of your spirit and you are dominated by the natural realm.

This gives us an understanding of 3 John 2: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
