Three new projects highlight the AG’s renewed emphasis on engaging the next generation

The Assemblies of God is anything but an aging denomination. With one-third of its constituency under the age of 25 (and 52 percent under 35), AG leaders are well aware of the need to equip a younger generation with timeless biblical truths via culturally relevant vehicles. That’s why one of the main emphases has been engaging children with God’s Word through innovative technology, and three new projects highlight this push.

In the app arena, My Healthy Church developed the Kid Bible Heroes and Fire Bible for Kids interactive apps to bring the Bible to life for children with animated stories and games. And through a partnership with OneHope, the AG is launching Incredible Islands, an online, virtual world that allows children to encounter God’s Word while also developing their skills in reading, math, science and critical thinking—all through cutting-edge technology that rivals kid-friendly sites such as Club Penguin or Poptropica. Though currently in beta stage, the full version of Incredible Islands is due to release later this fall and will be used in churches around the world.
