20th Century Fox | Starring Sandra Bullock, Bradley Cooper, Thomas Haden Church | Rated PG-13

Mary Horowitz (Sandra Bullock) is a bit eccentric. As a crossword puzzle constructor, she’s constantly processing words, their meanings and trivial information. This doesn’t work so well in social settings. Relationships, particularly, elude her. Plus, red go-go boots are a constant part of her attire.

She meets Steve (Bradley Cooper) on a blind date. Love is in the air—but only for Mary; Steve thinks she’s crazy. Mary believes they’re meant to be together and is determined to be with him. She follows Steve across the country while he covers breaking news stories as a cameraman.

Mary’s committed pursuit makes Steve believe he’s being stalked. And unbeknownst to him, reporter Hartman Hughes (Thomas Haden Church) has been encouraging Mary’s passion. When she becomes part of the news, Hartman realizes that his antics have actually put her in danger. Steve also regrets his callousness toward her.

Mary’s response to the situation makes them see her differently. Her outlook on life and upbeat personality unites a new community of friends. And people realize that sometimes those who don’t seem to fit in are the ones who can make the biggest difference.

This film is rated PG-13 for sexual content, including innuendos, and is inappropriate for young teens.
