The Power to Change Your Life is in Your Mouth

Everyone of us has the power to alter the course of our lives through our words.

As you may have read many times, Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” Check this out: The most important aspects of our existence are life and death. And both of them are influenced by the power of our words.

I think we could all agree that the greatest gift in the universe is the gift of salvation. And while Jesus paid the price for the gift of our salvation, how do we practically experience it? It’s simple: According to Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

The greatest gift in the universe, the gift of salvation, is practically experienced through the power of words. That should tell us something about how powerful our words are in EVERY area of life.In Numbers 6:23, God tells Moses how to release God’s blessing in people’s lives. He says, “This is the way you shall BLESS the children of Israel: SAY TO THEM…”

Notice, He said that the blessing is released by SPEAKING over them: “The Lord bless you and keep you…”This is how you bless your children: by speaking God’s Word over them. This is how you bless your finances: speak God’s Word over them. This is how you bless your body: speak God’s Word over it.

The blessing is a force that releases the power you need to turn around any situation in your life. And this blessing is released through your words. When you open your mouth and declare the blessing over your kids, your health, or any area of your life, you are releasing God’s life and peace.

You are bringing light into the darkest of situations; healing in the midst of pain & God’s ability in the midst of your inability. The blessing will remove that mountain you have struggled with our circled around for so long.

It’s time for you to experience the power of God, the favor of God; and the good will of God in your life. Speak the Word. Declare the blessing. And expect God’s power to go to work on your behalf! Be blessed!
