Lynette Lewis says she believes she’s a double-portion woman, and she was claiming that blessing when God began to plant a seemingly impossible dream in her heart.
“You’ve given me two careers in two cities,” Lewis says she told the Lord. “I started naming off all these double portions. And I said, ‘I believe I’m going to have twin baby girls, and they’re going to be named Victoria Joy and Isabella Grace, because nothing’s impossible with God.”
Lewis was 42 when she married her husband, Ron. She was 45 when they conceived, but the baby had no heartbeat. With insurmountable infertility odds, Lewis began to pray over her dream and asked her friends to join her.
“They knew I’d been going through the infertility things, and they prayed for me,” Lewis says. “I said, ‘I may be crazy, but I think God wants to give us twins. And I want twin girls.’ And they all were like, ‘We’re going to believe with you. We’re agreeing.’ And so we had prayer together over all our dreams, including mine.”
About two years later, Lewis says she was meeting with the same group when they inquired about her dream.
That’s when God did the coolest thing.
