When Christians face illness, disease and pain, I have discovered that for the most part, they more or less just take it. They forget that Jesus died for our sins, sickness and abundant life. You cannot have an abundant life if you have pain and problems in your body.
Many Christians still think that they have to pray and pray in order to receive physical healing. Prayer is wonderful! The fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (see James 5:16, KJV). But the fact is Jesus told us that He died on the cross, and that by His stripes we are healed. The healing that you need has been purchased with His blood, and you are already healed.
Some Christians have had the physical problem so long that they have resigned their thinking over to dark thinking that says, “I will always have this.”
So what should I do if I get struck with sickness, pain or disease? I have discovered that the Word of God works. We are to use the Word of God to receive our healing. Every believer needs to be prepared with an arsenal for their warfare.
Jesus healed many people who were crippled and paralyzed and bleeding for years. Jeremiah 30:17 (NKJV) says, “I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds.” This tells us that it is never too late to receive our healing from God.
I tell people to have five healing Scriptures ready that you use every day to fight the enemy when he wants to put sickness on you. These are the Scriptures that mean something to you concerning your healing.
These are rhema words to you. You use them as you would a weapon. They will fight for you as you come into agreement with God.
We must begin to quote God’s Word and receive our healing today. His Word will not return void. It can’t. So get your healing Scriptures and win! {eoa}
