The last 12 months have certainly taken numerous things out of our control. We have seen tempers rise, and often, peace has been missing in action. At other times we have witnessed deception and lawlessness rise up, and honesty and honor have disappeared.
The world around us has been shaking, and it can leave us feeling out of sorts. In the midst of this, some people feel like their lives are in a holding pattern. Like a little child, we “x” off the calendar days waiting for the big event to happen that will change everything.
The exciting thing is that for the believer, we are not to be out of sorts when the world shakes, but instead, we are always in season.
“Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching” (2 Tim. 4:2, NLT).
When we understand that God can and will use us in every season of life, it changes our outlook because our focus is steadfast.
“Even when it seems, I’m surrounded by many liars and my own fears, and though I’m hurting in my suffering and trauma, I still stay faithful to God and speak words of faith” (Ps. 116:10-11, TPT).
Even when I feel out of sorts, it is possible to get my life back, be used for the kingdom and stay faithful to God.
