Greg Mohr understands the heartache and suffering of sickness. In 1977 he had a growth on his neck, and his doctor wasn’t hopeful about Greg’s thyroid cancer. He said the thyroid needed to be removed, and they didn’t know if they could save his larynx.
Greg and his wife got into the Word and prayed. God spoke to Greg and told him to go for prayer with three specific men and the cancer would die, the devil would leave, and he would be healed. After prayer with those men, the doctors could find no cancer in Greg’s body.
A year later, Greg’s 15-month-old son, Michael, was afflicted with an arthritic, muscular condition that made his joints swell. He was in horrific pain and couldn’t crawl or walk. Greg and his wife went back to the three men for prayer for Michael—but nothing happened. Michael wasn’t cured. Then the Lord told Greg to immerse himself in the Word, and Greg and his wife wrote down 70 Scriptures on healing, the authority of the believe and the integrity of God’s Word. They spoke those scriptures over Michael several times a day. After 2 1/2 months, two of those verses, Psalm 119:89-90, leaped off the page and into their hearts. A few days later, Michael crawled for the first time, then he walked, and then he was totally healed.
Out of that experience, Greg realized that the Lord uses different methods to heal. Greg developed a passion to see people healed and because of that, he wrote “Your Healing Door.” Greg believes the Lord wants us to keep our ears attuned to Him, focus on Him and listen to Him. God always has healing, but He doesn’t want us to depend on a method.

Healing can be a tricky subject for some people because they look at healing as if it were mysterious, but Greg claims healing is very simple. If you’re born again and know Jesus, the healing is the children’s bread—it belongs to you. You have a personal relationship with your Father, and it’s not the will of God for his children to be sick.
People have confidence in their doctors because they have functional authority. But their authority doesn’t trump delegated authority. Believers have been delegated by Jesus to have authority over sickness and disease. When people get a bad diagnosis, it invokes fear, and they get focused on that bad report rather than God’s authority. The doctors share with you what they know, but God’s report trumps their report. If you’ll exalt the truth of God’s Word above the facts that say you’re ill, hold on to God’s truth and keep speaking the Word, the truth will win out.
The truth of God’s Word that by His stripes you are healed is greater than a diagnosis. Faith isn’t saying, “I don’t have cancer.” Faith is saying, “God’s Word is greater than the cancer in my body.”
