Were the Mid-Term Results An Indication of God’s Judgment on America?

In the days leading up to our elections it hit me: “what if’ God doesn’t want us to win the ‘too close to call’ elections.” There were so many truth vs lies, good vs evil candidates and issues . . . with almost no variance among Christians in the belief that “God’s will” will prevail and we’ll win them all! Well, for sure, God’s will prevailed! Here’s the problem: we believed our will was God’s will.

We believed we would elect all of the candidates and pass all of the laws that stood for biblical truth. And now millions of Christians, who really believed this, are asking “what happened?”; “where are You God?”; “how could You let this happen?”; and “Is Satan more powerful than God?” all because we allowed the things of this world to become our god. Our faith was in faith, rather than in God.

The re-election of Trump’s agenda to ‘Make America Great Again’ would have been out of step with God’s judgment on America and End Times prophecies. And so it is, the election of God honoring candidates and issues this past week would have interfered with God’s trajectory for America. America has earned God’s judgement a thousand times over, and we know America isn’t even mentioned in last days prophecies. In two short years, America has lost the world’s respect and our nation’s confidence. The idea of turning our allegiance to a global leader (the anti-Christ) is now a ‘fait accompli’. It’s going to happen and we deserve it to happen. God is no longer going to allow anything to slow down our race to judgment.

God gives us the rulers we deserve. And if you (America) do not obey the Lord, and if you rebel against His commands, His hand will be against you (1 Samuel 12:14). Based on America’s moral fiber and focus on God, God gives us the rulers we deserve and not who we want. Proverbs 11:11 tells us: “Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it’s destroyed.” In every obscene category America is, by far, the major purveyor of wickedness world wide. And the rain falls on the just and the unjust! Heaven is our only escape!

If you love God and still live for this world and the things of this world, these elections are your worst nightmare. But if you love God with eyes fixed on the world to come, the darker it gets, the closer you are to the rapture and actually seeing Him face to face.

There’s no question, we’re getting really close (1 Thessalonians 4)! “When you see these things BEGIN to happen, lift up your head and rejoice, for your redemption draweth nigh,” (Luke 21:28). Encourage each other with these words!

From God’s mouth to your ears, we’re running out of time! Rather than allowing the events of these days to drag you down and discourage you, use them as your launching pad to move everyone, every day closer to Jesus—before it’s too late and they’re left behind. I guarantee you, it will ignite your life!
