to change, and it’s starting with web-based evangelist and author Ty
Adams. Reality television will soon offer a solution to troubled
relationships and broken marriages, as Adams produces the three-part
DVD production, The Real Housewives of the Bible.
Adams became
frustrated after learning of the current divorce rate, realizing the
upsetting ratio of available men to single women and seeing how
society negatively portrays relationships.
“There is a place
for reality television, if it’s reality,” says Adams. “TV and
multimedia has certainly a place in society, but we should be able to
use those airwaves to be able to capture God’s voice. I think in fact
God was the first television and movie producer—He captivated His
audience through stories. He created images in the minds of those who
listened to Him. So God loves reality TV—as long as there’s a
solution provided that stands with the word of God.”
The Real Housewives of the Bible
amplifies the relational issues of 12 women. One depiction in the
series is of Abram and Sarah. Sarah is unable to bare children, so
Abram becomes involved in an adulterous affair and a child comes
about as a result of that.
Infertility,
loneliness, adultery—tribulation pulled right from what Ty Adams
calls “the blueprint.” “I look at the Bible as our romance
novel. It is our love letter to us, from Him. I went to the source of
love itself. Why look at anything else? You have to go to the
original manufacturer of love and relationships.”
The content
captured in video form is accompanied by a challenging six-week study
journal. Adams says the study will not only allow women to get
together and heal themselves of relationships, but it will help women
“do a makeover” on their lives.
“[God] wants to
teach you and show you what real love is. When you fall into that
kind of love relationship with God, it will become a mirror for any
personal relationship that you have on a horizontal level. It is
based on the vertical relationship you have with God. All He needs is
just an ounce of a chance. And if you give that, God can maximize
every area of your life and turn it around.”

Adams says the funds collected from this production will fund the
kingdom. Adams and her company, Heaven Enterprises, plan to create
sitcoms and movies.
“We’re creating
movies that portray our own lives, that bring the Word of God to life
and providing wholesome entertainment for families. This is not an
advice or a how to. This is actually wisdom that is pulled from the
love application itself, the love manual itself, in terms of how to
be able to solve relationships.”
Adams
shares that she can hear the Lord audibly speak concerning the need
for productions such as The Real Housewives of the Bible.
“The fate of television is
getting ready to change. Audiences will be shouting, ‘The Christians
are coming, the Christians are coming!’”
