4 Ways the Enemy Will Try to Attack Your Prophetic Gift

Have you received a prophecy but felt like it would never come to pass? Perhaps you are believing God for many promises, but all you see is a dark situation. In this episode of Warfare Strategies on the Charisma Podcast Network, we will learn that we must discern a spiritual attack and rebuke it immediately.

First, the enemy loves to cause discouragement. He will try to influence us to take our eyes off of Jesus and place them on the situation. When we get discouraged, we cry and start feeling heavy. We must start praising God at that moment to counteract the spirit of heaviness (Isa. 61:10).

Second, the enemy loves to fill our minds with doubt. When this occurs, we start to question the source of the information that we received in the first place. “Lord, was it you who spoke to me? Did my flesh tell me what I wanted to hear? Maybe it was the enemy speaking to me. Did the prophet lie?” We must cast down those thoughts and declare what the Lord has said concerning your situation (2 Cor. 10:5).

Third, the enemy will try to cause you to become weary. If our minds aren’t guarded, we can give in to the fatigue we may feel. We must cry out to the Lord to get refreshed because Jesus is our lifeline (Act 3:19). We can’t do what we are called to do on our own. We need the Lord in every way.

Finally, the enemy causes distractions, so you will be hindered in your assignment or purpose. Distractions can be interruptions when you are trying to work. Things around you start to break down or unexpected expenses arise. You must press and focus. Put your hand to the plow, and don’t look back (Luke 9:62).
