Former Career Criminal Transforms Lives Through Unique Outreach Ministry

David Vincent has lived a remarkable life. His story is fraught with abuse, tragedy and crime, but his work today illustrates the incredible restorative powers of God, something Vincent helps countless hurting people realize through his Warriors Center ministry.

Trained for a life of crime by his parents, Vincent first began breaking into houses at the age of 9. After a tumultuous youth consumed by violence, drugs and criminal behavior, including 30 arrests and 18 felony charges. Vincent gave his life to Christ on a jailhouse floor while facing a 15-year prison sentence, promising to dedicate his life to God if He would get him out of his situation. God spoke to him and said he had answered his prayer, and shortly thereafter, a series of miracles began to transpire, with charges being dropped.

Diving deep into prayer and Scripture, Vincent started to piece his life back together, working a steady job, restoring his family life, and getting involved in a local church. With two friends, he opened up a Bible study in his home, reaching out to people who would never darken the threshold of a church. Out of that simple outreach came Warriors Center, Vincent’s powerful ministry for the addicted, homeless and downtrodden.

From Vincent taking homeless people into his personal home to a 65-bed, 12,000-square-foot dedicated facility, Warriors Center Memphis has grown substantially since its inception 16 years ago.

“Through Warriors Center, USA, we have been called by God to take it to the next level,” he says. “We have a mission to plant Christ-centered rehabilitation programs around the globe that will transform broken lives and raise up Warriors for Christ.”—Jeremy Burns
