(Part 1)

Jesus lived in intimate communion with His Father. The Scriptures refer to Jesus as “the express image” of God. As believers, we also have the amazing privilege of close, face-to-face communion with the living God. Such knowledge carries with it the expectation of access to His presence and power.

READ: Prov. 18:21; Matt. 6:33; Matt. 11:11; Mark 1:2-3; John 1:29-34; Heb. 1:3.

HEART ISSUE: In your prayer time this week, ask the Holy Spirit to show you how removed you might be from the face of God and what you need to do to get closer to Him. Repent of anything that has been in the way of your relationship with God, and ask God to draw you closer to Him.
PRAYER FOCUS: Lord God, thank You for drawing me closer to You, so that my life is a reflection of You. Help me, through Your grace, mercy and love to be able to live “in Your face” every hour of every day. Amen.

(Part 2)

Jesus lived in the place of accountability to God. Christ walked in the favor of God and was obedient to Him in all things. Jesus, God’s Son, refused to make a move unless the Father led Him. Let His life be your example of how to honor God, follow as He leads and depend on His strength every day.

READ: Matt. 5:3; Mark 2:17; John 16: 7; John 17:4; John 17: 22; John 17: 26.
HEART ISSUE: In your prayer time this week, vow to live close to God. Thank Jesus that He is your model of how to walk in intimate communion with the Father. Ask Jesus to help and empower you to do this daily.
PRAYER FOCUS: Thank You, Lord, that I am developing an intimate relationship with You. Thank You that Your presence and power will be with me wherever I go and in whatever I do. Draw me closer than ever before. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
