(Part 1)

It is extremely difficult to live in the midst of so much that is tempting to our flesh, yet keep your mind and heart pure before God. One safeguard is to intentionally lift your heart to the Lord each day. Doing so will reaffirm your devotion to Him and re-establish your heart in His peace.

READ: Deut. 32:3-4; Ps. 90:12; Matt. 6:30-34; Rom. 7:14-25; James 1:26-27; James 3:1-18.
HEART ISSUE: During the course of your day, practice turning away from your duties frequently and acknowledging the presence of Jesus.
PRAYER FOCUS: Lord, let me never forget that every day is a gift from Your hands. My life is not my own; it is Yours. May You never be displeased with me, and may my life glorify You in every way. In Jesus name, Amen.

(Part 2)

God knows your heart better than you do. But don’t allow this thought to condemn you. Instead, let it comfort you. He knows that only those who are truly devout are troubled by their level of devotion.

READ: Jer. 10:23; Rom. 11:33; 1 Cor. 10:11-13; Phil. 4:8-9; James 4:7-10; James 4:11-17.
HEART ISSUE: Learn to see the challenges of every day as opportunities to rely on God’s strength in your weakness.
PRAYER FOCUS: Father God, remind me of Your presence each day. As I go about my duties, help me to find those moments of reflection when I can lift my heart and my thoughts to You. Let me not hesitate to ask for Your help or give You thanks no matter where I am. In Your name, Amen.
