Singles, Are You Ready for the Season of Pop-Up Weddings?

Springtime is so beautiful. It gets warm again and flowers begin to pop up everywhere and bloom. This spring was no different, except something else began to pop up along with it—weddings. That’s right, and they are all supernatural and prophetic signs of God’s restoration and healing of the body.

It started with my own marriage. In September 2016, my husband and I met, and four months later, we were engaged. A prophet at a conference I hosted graciously told James and me that we should take his honorarium and purchase an engagement ring. (The backstory is that five years before, I’d sown a $4,000 wedding ring in faith that I would marry. That wedding never came, and it caused my faith to weaken.)

Here I was, 35 years old, still holding onto a 12-year prophecy that I would one day marry a football player. (It was prophesied to me, and I’d had a few dreams from the Lord.)

In an amazing turn of events, I met my football player—a former University of Kansas defensive end—at a church in Tampa, just as the prophet had said I would.

We got engaged but hadn’t set a date because we were waiting on God for his timing. One October morning in 2017, I felt the Lord whisper it was time. God confirmed the date to both of us, and four days later, we had what I called a pop-up wedding. It was only the two of us and our closest friends, and we did it in a way that would honor God, including having our first real kiss at the altar.

Even though we did a pop-up, I decided to put it on Periscope right before I walked down the aisle. This caused a celebration in the faith community. So many women contacted me afterwards sharing how it had blessed them. This caused a stirring in me, and while I was praying one day, God reminded me not to forget about all the single women. I had been one until very recently, and I remembered how I felt while waiting for all those years.

With an unction from the Holy Ghost, I picked up my phone and began to record a prayer for single women. I put that prayer on Facebook, and it immediately began to catch fire. Women began inboxing me from all over the world and telling me their stories. I began praying and speaking words of life into their situations. Since that time we have started a group on Facebook called Her Single Diaries, and God has grown it to a group of 8,000 women who are fasting and praying for their mates.

While I was on a fast, the Lord spoke that many women and men would have pop-up weddings just like ours. Words create worlds. Since November, our group has celebrated eight engagements and marriages, and one remarriage. All of these women have gotten engaged and married suddenly. One woman’s pop up-remarriage video went viral, with millions seeing it. Several relationships are blooming for women who haven’t had a boyfriend in 10-plus years. God is sending prophetic dreams and specifics about husbands, and weddings are happening.

Pop-up weddings are a spontaneous, supernatural blessing. God is handing out wedding rings quickly, causing women’s faith to be renewed. The Lord is causing women and men who are in different cities and continents to meet. He is reconnecting misconnections and unifying hearts for the healing of the body of Christ. Our Father is honoring the sanctity of marriage, and all we have to do is receive it.

Be in faith, ladies. If you’re unmarried, Daddy God is sending him right to you—nothing broken, nothing missing. We are indeed in pop-up season! {eoa}
