But What If I Don’t Have Faith?

Half of society’s innermost questions are the hidden secrets kept in silence.

We abort the answers of mystery hidden between the lines of the Word’s “written letters” because of the lack of transparency and knowledge. Among this unfolding and looming era, it shall be imperative that voices begin to rise normalizing subjects of tattered and abandoned faith.

There is a generation of redemption on the horizon that screams out for my attention. There are those who wonder What if I can’t ‘faith it’? I’m numb from believing and not seeing the display of who God says He is. What now?

ln this episode of Life Talk with Liv on Charisma Podcast Network, I tell their stories that hung from the threshold of Isaiah 58:12 (AMP).

“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up and restore the age-old foundations [of buildings that have been laid waste]; you will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”

New recorded testimonies will arise that forerun a full circle God-linage that began over 2,000 years ago. Testimonies of faith bled from the beginning hallmarks of doubting Thomas, mocking Sarah and faithless Peter. Testimonies will arise from a time truly circumcised to truth and honesty before God. Our very own compelling lives preach before a society, proclaiming. “God is absolutely faithful.”

Consider the compelling thriller Sarah kicked off with.

Genesis 18:12b (ESV) states this, Sarah laughed saying to God “I am worn out, and my lord is old, shall I have pleasure?”

In deeper study, the word laughed used in the first part of this verse is derived from the Hebrew word tsa-khak, a verb meaning to mock, make toy of pr laugh outright.

Here we have an exhausted woman, depleted of joy and empty, sarcastically mocking God Almighty in a face-to-face encounter. Quiet the rawest place to be with God that I’m sure can be found relatable at one intersection of life. Have you been there? The place of faithless sorrow? The never-ending perception of hopelessness inside the valley of waiting?

Despite Sarah’s doubt, God was never moved in who He was. His response to her disbelief was this: “Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son” (Gen. 18:14).

Whether we are faithless or faithful, God remains faithful (2 Tim. 2:13). Sovereignly enough, He becomes the faithful anchor, leaving us in awe of His marvel and greatness.

Doubting Thomas was a close disciple of Jesus, a man who observed the evidence of God through Christ and had the tangible truth walk beside him. He doubted Jesus’ ability to resurrect and rise from the tomb. In the disciple’s disbelief, Thomas uttered the shocking words: “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe” (John 20:25b). The palpable evidence of miracles, signs and wonders were seen with Christ throughout Thomas’ life. After Christ’s death, he shouldn’t have struggled believing Jesus could rise from the dead. But he did struggle to have faith.

Some of us are there. We have seen the power of God, yet we are facing doubts that God is able in other areas.

Yet again Jesus was not moved by Thomas’ unbelief, and the Father used His Son to prove Himself true! Jesus appeared to Thomas, inviting him to place his finger inside His pierced side. Wow! God is indescribably sovereign in our weak and low faith.

Countless testimonies went forth biblically, revealing humanity’s bankruptcy while unveiling God.

Hebrews 11:6 says that without faith, it’s impossible for us to please God. We have an everlasting tangible God who never forsakes us in our weaknesses. He can stir up and increase our faith as He meets us where we are.

God the Father and Christ the Son stood before the honest reality of our need and plainly came through.

That same evidence of God’s faithfulness displayed for Sarah, Thomas, Peter and many more discussed in this episode of Life Talk with Liv can be manifested before you too! Rest easy and know. {eoa}
