(PART 1)

The Lord desires for us to have His joy. We can have this experience as we obey Him and give up our own wills in order to live in humility and holiness as Jesus did.

READ: Neh. 8:10; Ps. 40:8; John 6:38-40; Heb. 2:10; Heb. 5:7-9; 1 Pet. 4:1-2.
HEART ISSUE: What will determine whether or not you have the joy of the Lord?
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, thank You for joy and strength as I obey You. May You have free reign in me to do the work You desire. Amen.

(PART 2)

Jesus was in constant communion with the Father, giving Him the ability to do just what He saw the Father doing. As Jesus lives within us, the same communion is possible for us to enjoy now.

READ: Deut. 32:9; Ps. 32; Ps. 143:10; John 5:19-20; John 14:12,26; John 15:9-15.
HEART ISSUE: What does the term communion mean to you? Do you believe that the same level of spiritual union Jesus had with your heavenly Father is available to you today?
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, You are mighty. I am humbled by Your overwhelming heart of love. Thank You for Your Holy Spirit, who fills me continually and enables me to commune with You. Amen.
