Get Ready to Say, ‘This Is What I’ve Been Praying For’

You are about to enter into a season of “This is what I’ve been praying for.” Many believers have been praying and expecting amazing things from the Lord. Many promises and prayers have yet to be fulfilled, but rest assured, in this season, you will see the manifestation of every prophetic promise.

Recently, I received a text message that read, “Get ready for God to amaze you.” I had no clue what He was going to do, but I did know that I had an urgent petition before the Lord. I was encouraged by the text as this friend has repeatedly given me on time prophetic words from the Lord over the last 20 years. I had no doubt that God was about to do something amazing. The Scripture: “Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper” (2 Chron. 20:20, NKJV).

After receiving the text message, I began to see the sudden manifestation of the prophetic word. In preparation for a church event, I walked into a hotel to finalize arrangements for our guest speaker. At the check-in desk, the customer service representative said, “Sir, you don’t have a reservation here.” I was taken aback, as this had never happened before. I quickly called my wife, who confirmed that she made the reservation. I asked the young lady to check again and she said, “No sir, there is no reservation.”

Slightly flustered, I began walking to my car to make phone calls to my staff. At the same time, the clerk who just finished her shift, walked out with me and said, “You know, I have a family and friends’ rate at another hotel that would save you 60 percent of what you would have paid here.” She asked me to follow her there, so I did. At the new hotel, the clerk went to the check-in desk and made the reservation. The entire bill at the new hotel, a three-day stay, equaled the cost of one night at the previous hotel, and it was an upgrade. God had given me favor!

I had never met this young lady before, but God pre-positioned her to bless me. He ordered my steps to the exact location where she was prepared to release the manifestation of his prophetic promise. And as things usually are with God, it didn’t end there.

My wife sent a text, telling me that God sent someone to be a blessing to us. This person then sowed a seed, one much larger than any seed we had ever received in the history of our ministry!

Then just a few days later, on our way from the recording studio, we stopped to grab a bite to eat. My wife ordered just one meal, as it is our custom to share one. However, when the waitress came to the table with our plates, she brought double of everything. Surprised, we responded, “Ma’am, we only ordered one meal.”

She then said, “No sir, you keep the other meal, and it’s on the house.” We were astonished by God’s continued provision. We had more than we asked for, more than we paid for and more than we could eat. The Scripture says in Ephesians 3:20 (MEV), “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to the power that works in us.” Get ready for God to do exceeding abundantly more for you than you asked for. God says expect me for more, believe me for more. Up until now you’re thinking was too small.

In Acts 12:13-16 we read the story of Peter’s miraculous release from prison. The text shared that the church was praying and expecting God to release him. When he showed up at the door, a young lady named Rhoda went to the gate in response. However, she was amazed that Peter was actually standing there before her. At first, she believed it to be his spirit, but he continued knocking. In verse 15, it says that the people thought she was mad because she continued to tell them it was actually Peter and not his angel. When they finally realized it was Peter, they were astonished. In this context, the word “astonished” translates from the Greek word existemi to mean “to amaze, to astonish, to throw into wonderment” (Blue Letter Bible).

Just as it was for Peter and the church in the book of Acts, your time has come. Get ready for God to amaze you. Get ready for God to literally astonish you. Prepare the table and make room for the overflow of his blessings and favor. It’s a new season. A season of God’s wonder. We have found that when God releases the breakthrough, it is breathtaking and simply amazing. {eoa}
