A modern retelling of a powerful biblical story comes to life when Confessions of a Prodigal Son premieres theatrically in Denver on Feb.19, followed by showings in Nashville on February 26, Dallas on March 5, Atlanta on March 12 and Los Angeles on March 19.
Including songs from widely popular Christian artists Andrew Peterson and Window View, the inspirational drama will also be available on DVD and Digital HD March 24 from Cinedigm.
Starring Kevin Sorbo (God’s Not Dead, Storm Rider, Hercules), Nathan Clarkson (The Veil, Mayflower 2), Rachael Lee (Greek), Azel James (Book of Daniel), Tanya Chisholm (Big Time Rush, Fired Up), Michael Christopher Bolten (Flipped, Letters to God) and Darwin Harris (The Bay), Confessions of a Prodigal Son paints a picture of a young man’s ups and downs through relationships, faith, hope and redemption, ultimately exploring if broken stories can have happy endings.
Centered on Sean (Clarkson), a rebel who leaves his home and family to reflect on self-discovery, suddenly finds himself questioning everything he once learned. He encounters a professor who challenges his thoughts and emotions, helping him realize that life is a story full of unexpected events, but no matter what happens, everyone has a second chance.
In addition to the Confessions of a Prodigal Son DVD and Digital HD release on March 24, Right Angle Music will distribute an album titled “Confessions of a Prodigal Son—Music Inspired by the Motion Picture” on the same date, with Christian music inspired by the film by various artists.
