Millions. That’s how many pageviews our Charisma News website and app are getting every month.
Our Charisma News website and app have really grown because we provide news and information from a spiritual perspective you can’t find anywhere else. Now, we can provide this to you and your ministry website at no cost.
In the past year, Charisma News’ unique visitors have more than tripled (340 percent), while total visits and page views have doubled (230 percent and 197 percent, respectively). In the past 30 days, the Charisma News site has had 528,071 unique visitors, 732,961 total visits and 1,108,838 pageviews.
That’s due in part to the fact that we have had scoops. Within two hours of the Boston Bombings, we had an eyewitness account from a Christian businessman who was only about 200 feet from the blast. And, we were the first to report the sad news a few weeks ago that Rick Warren’s son, Matthew, had taken his own life. That sort of breaking news creates huge numbers.
In recent weeks, I’ve had significant leaders tell me they check out our app several times a day. If you haven’t signed up for the free app, you can get Charisma News in the iTunes store, or by texting the word “Charisma” to 24587.
When it first came out, I wrote about it and we had a lot of interest. Now we’d like many churches and ministries and individual websites to carry our Charisma News widget. Sorry, but Facebook doesn’t allow this type of thing.
It’s an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed. It’s constantly updated during the week so that your Web site is instantly updated and looks professional. Best of all, it is news you can trust from top-notch journalists who share your Spirit-filled perspective.
Anyone with a website or blog can add the Charisma News updates to their page with this widget. Click here for the link to get the Widget for your website.
The widget currently is getting an average of 50,000 views per day. In addition to being embedded on all of our websites, the widget is on many other websites and online blogs, like cfaith.com.
It’s free for now, and it’s our way to bless you and to get the news we produce to a wider audience thanks to digital technology.
