Recently during a weekly intercessory prayer, I was given a vision from the Lord. In this vision, I saw a bottle of wine which looked to be vintage, but in my spirit I knew it was new.
As I looked closer, I could see around the edge of the cork drops of wine seeping from the bottle. Shortly after this, I heard the loud and distinctive sound of the cork popping open.
The Sound of Awakening and the Bottle of ‘Increase’
You see, in this hour there is a sound that is being released. It’s the sound of the bride emerging from her cave. It’s the sound of awakening for the body to step into their identities as sons and daughters of the Most High. Just like the cork popping, something explosive is about to take place. Romans 8:19 says, “The eager expectation of the creation waits for the appearance of the sons of God.”
As I continued to watch this old but new bottle of wine, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “This is the new wine for this season, and its name is ‘Increase.'” This felt so oddly familiar as I was reminded of a previous encounter pertaining to the new wine.
You see, every time the Lord has spoken to me about new wine it has been about times, seasons and what the Holy Spirit is serving the bride.
The New Wine Speaks of Renewed Love and Intimacy with God
“Draw me after you, let us run. The king has brought me into his chambers. We will exult and rejoice in you; we will remember your love more than wine; rightly do they love you!” (Song 1:4)
We see in the New Testament that the infilling of the Spirit is compared to drinking wine. Acts 2:13 says, “Others mocking said, ‘These men are full of new wine.'”
“Do not be drunk with wine, for that is reckless living. But be filled with the Spirit” (Eph. 5:18).
Beloved, the Lord is releasing a new drink. It’s a new season of blessings and favor. The “increase” is here! Get ready to see an overflow of blessings. As we become recipients of this new wine, we not only receive the filling of His presence, but we also become walking testimonies of the goodness of God to those all around us. Where darkness and lack seem to cover the land, you will walk in the increase and blessings of the Father.
New Wine Speaks of the Harvest
New wine speaks of harvest, and you best believe it is harvest time!
“Then I will give you the rain of your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil” (Deut. 11:14).
Today I encourage you to hold up your cup and receive of the Lord, saying, “Lord, fill our cups today!”
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over” (Ps. 23:5).
Now let’s continue to drink of His goodness and let the new wine of His increase flow in and out of you today! {eoa}
