A pregnant youth pastor and her unborn daughter were killed in a head-on collision Saturday, March 7. Her husband, also a youth pastor, was critically injured, reports WSFA 12 News.

Just hours before the accident, Breanna Brown Eaton was leading worship at a women’s conference at Lynn Church of God in Cullman, Alabama, according to AL.com. The 24-year-old youth pastor sang “Ain’t No Grave (Can’t Hold My Body Down),” which says, in part:

“There ain’t no grave/ Gonna hold my body down/ There ain’t no grave/ Gonna hold my body down/ When I hear that trumpet sound/ I’m gonna rise up outta the ground/ There ain’t no grave/ Gonna hold my body down.”

Breanna and her husband, Jacob, were driving home from the women’s conference when another car veered into their lane and hit them.

Breanna, who was eight months pregnant, was declared dead on site, but Jacob was taken to the hospital, where he woke up a day later, March 9.

A Facebook update posted by Lynn Church of God says: “This is our youth pastor awake, worshipping God this morning!!! He woke up, pulled his own breathing tube out and was asking questions. When pastor Chris got there to tell the news there was nothing to tell. He said GOD ALREADY TOLD HIM. He is in good spirits and he’s worshipping his way through this. Please continue to pray!!”

The accompanying photo shows Jacob worshipping in his hospital bed.

Jacob is still struggling with serious injuries, including two broken shins, a broken arm, a broken tail bone, a collapsed lung and a shifted pelvis, according to a GoFundMe account.

The Eatons struggled to get pregnant, according to Chris and Alisha Stokes. The Stokes say their struggle ended when God moved in a church service one night. That same day, Breanna became pregnant with their first child, Adelaide.

The Stokes led worship with the Eatons the night of the accident and were driving behind them when the crash happened.
