Prophecy: God Is Calling You to Walk on Water in 2022

We are being thrusted into the unknowns of 2022 like a boat being tossed into the middle of the seas of life.

Regardless of your personal, political or spiritual beliefs, most can agree that there have been consistent, spiritual stormy days for quite some time now and more stormy days ahead of us as we press into the new year. The realm of unknowns and uncertainties concerning government mandates, pandemics, employment, economy, finances, politics and the compromise of the church beat against our lives like a hurricane or like tornado winds that refuse to let up. Rest assured in the middle of every global storm, Jesus Christ remains King of Kings and Lord of Lords. No man can vote Him off His throne in heaven, and no storm can overthrow His power and authority in the earth, for He measures the waters in the span of His hand.

As I write this, I can feel the supernatural nudge of Holy Spirit calling the people of God to not fear the spiritually stormy days ahead but prepare to step out of the realm of the natural and step into the realm of the supernatural. Prepare to walk on the water in the face of the storms of life.

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) says, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

I am also reminded of Matthew 14:22-32, which reads: “Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me! And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.”

Allow me to give you four preparations to defeat the natural with the supernatural and to spiritually walk on the water in the midst of the global storm that is upon us.

  1. Trust the Lord when He gives you direction. Jesus made His disciples get in the boat and told them to go to the other side. The word made means He drove, forced, compelled or constrained His disciples to go to the other side. No matter how spiritually stormy it is across the globe, the blood-bought believers have an assignment to go to the other side to a place of victory. God is not calling us to run from the storm, but rather He is forcing us into the storms of the last days that we might see His glory revealed through His supernatural power.
  1. Trusting in the Lord means we are stepping into His prayers. Jesus sent them into the water and then He went to the mountain to pray. Jesus never calls us to do something without praying for us. Hebrews 7:25 says, “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” We must know that no matter how spiritually stormy it gets globally, King Jesus is praying for His people that we make it to the other side to a place of victory.
  1. When the natural is against you, you are being positioned for the supernatural. The disciples found themselves in the middle of the sea being tossed by the realm of impossibility. The word tossed means to be tested or questioned by torture. Their faith was on trial in the middle of the storm. The reality is that natural situations that require a supernatural answer is a divine set-up for God to reveal Himself. Suddenly Jesus showed up in the middle of the storm and they thought He was a ghost. Jesus stands in the middle of the storm, defying the natural laws of this earth with the supernatural laws of heaven. The wind and the waves were under His feet. He was walking on top of the very thing that was troubling His disciples. I want to encourage you to come to the realization that Jesus Christ still walks on top of this global storm that is troubling the earth.
  1. Will you walk on the water of the global storm? The question moving into 2022 is not whether or not Jesus Christ walks on top of the waters of the global storm. The question is whether His disciples in the last days will walk on top of the waters of the global storm and get to the other side of victory. Peter said, “Lord, if it is You, then command me to come to You on the water” and Jesus said, “Come!” The reality is that Peter walked on the water of the Word. As long as he focused on Jesus and the Word of God, and not the storm, then the waters and boisterous winds that rocked his boat had no authority because they were under his feet. He had a moment where he looked at the storm and began to sink. I charge you in 2022 to get your eyes off of the frightening global storm and get your eyes on Jesus and His Word, committing your heart to getting to the other side to a place of victory in the last days. {eoa}
