This is the message of the prophet Isaiah—repeatedly: The presence of your Savior changes everything! (See Isa. 32:15, 35:1-2; 40:3-5, 43:19, 51:3.)
Only Jesus can turn a past story of loss into a present testimony of power. So, receive His touch on every part of your life—even those past times that felt like “wilderness seasons.” For right now, He is visiting you with headlines from heaven.
I Am Changing the Story You Tell
A few years ago, God spoke to my husband and I one evening. It was 2019, and we were musing about a tragic event in our family’s history over dinner when the Holy Spirit interrupted us. He said, “I am removing shame from the generations; I am changing the story you tell from now on.”
“Honor marriage and guard the sacredness of sexual intimacy between wife and husband” (Heb. 13:14, MSG).
[Author’s note: I attempted to give this article to Amy prior to publishing. She declined to read it saying, “Even if I am misrepresented; even if I am in the wrong, God knows my heart.” Having reviewed the article first with five senior leaders, including Dr. Michael Brown and one of Amy’s original pastors, we pray and entrust this to God.]
Months ago, Joe Biden hosted a gathering with gay icon Elton John and 2,000 LGBTQ celebrants on the White House lawn. If I was invited, I would’ve attended to evangelize just as I have at 20+ other gay pride events.
In situations like this, it’s extremely important to discern God’s will. If I was a new convert, knew there’d be nudity, drugs and revelry, struggled with same sex attraction or if I was younger and prohibited by my parents, I wouldn’t go. Apart from a strategic LGBTQ outreach, could I envision ever hosting a homosexual/lesbian event at my church or on my property? I wouldn’t do it.
“But I said to you, ‘You will possess their land; I will give it to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey,’ (Lev. 20:24). I am the Lord your God, who has set you apart from the nations.”
God is speaking to me about a real estate anointing that is coming on many people right now and increasing on others who have already operated in this. Land was always one of the promises of God over His people. There are so many stories and Scriptures about land and about not moving boundary lines. It is still one of the most contentious resources to this day. Israel itself has always been in a land battle against the agendas of other nations.
God is re-establishing His intention over lands and boundaries and that is why so many Christians are feeling led to buy land or to sell and possess land that will more clearly serve their families, callings and careers.
In late November and early December, I heard two phrases from the Holy Spirit regarding the new year. I clearly heard “a season of miracles” and the Holy Spirit prompted me to look at Galatians 3:5, “He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith?”
According to Strong’s Concordance, the word ministereth in the Greek is epichoregeo and means abundant, lavish supply—the cost fully covered. I was shocked to see that the corresponding number in Strong’s is 2023. The Holy Spirit bore strong witness to me that 2023 will be a year where the body of Christ will come into awareness of what that supply actually means, and that this is a year where there will be an orchestration of events requiring a supernatural move of God, an abundant supply of His Spirit
We are in a time where the kingdoms are clashing, where the enemy’s plans are coalescing in power, but GOD is far above and much more powerful, and 2023 will be a year of seeing the miraculous to overthrow the powers of darkness.
“My people are shrinking to fit into a space they are not meant for.”
This morning, the Lord gave me a dream in which round pegs were dropping into square holes. This is an analogy that we usually use where the round peg would not be able to fit into a square hole. However, as I inquired of the Lord about this picture, He said His people are becoming smaller to fit into an expected space.
John 15:19 reminds us that if we are of the world, the world will love us. The Passion Translation reads, “Just remember, when the unbelieving world hates you, they first hated Me. If you were to give your allegiance to the world, they would love and welcome you as one of their own.” The Lord warns us that many believers have modified their belief systems to fit into the world’s culture. We have entered ungodly negotiations and allegiances to fit the mold. In other words, we have lost the weight we are meant to carry in the spiritual realm. Because we have lost weight, we are fitting into places we are not to occupy.
