Preston Sprinkle says Jesus modeled nonviolence, and so should His followers. In the debate over whether they can have guns, many believers neglect the more important question of whether they should even use guns. In this provocative message, Sprinkle says, “I suggest that the values of American Christianity has been more shaped by our militaristic, destroy-your-enemies spirit than the radical life and counterintuitive teaching of Jesus Christ. Because as Christians, when we love our enemies, we no longer have enemies. We are left only with neighbors.”
