The Word of God says that to whom much is given, much is required (see Luke 12:48).
When faced with this challenge, what do you do? Often, we run with our flesh. However our emotions move, we tend to move.
The Bible says to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all things will be added to you (see Matt. 6:33). When are we challenged with this Scripture? When people admire others’ lives, what they have or what God has them doing for the kingdom. People don’t understand the cost, the cost of one’s very being. Everything you were taught, trained, imparted, grew up in and had examples of, will all be required of you by God to surrender to Him.
To be more like Him, you will have warfare. The devil will attack you. The enemy wants you to remain unaware of your true identity. The devil will attempt to tarnish your character. He will try to tempt you out of your rightful position in God, and ultimately, he wants you to be done with God altogether. How many of you know a price has been paid for you through the blood of Jesus? How many of you know the battle is not ours, it is the Lord’s?
I can’t tell you every battle I have stood in the midst of while God was fighting for me. All I can say is He has kept me. Look at me! You don’t know half the story. I don’t look like what I have been through even in my walk with the Lord. God did it! It’s a continuous journey. You will often have seasons when you will have to wrestle with God like Jacob (Gen. 32:22-31). Folks left me; they couldn’t help me. They didn’t understand my cost. They simply were not equipped to see me through the battles I had to endure.
They hadn’t walked my path, and they couldn’t understand my layers of pain. They couldn’t see why my tears continued to come when things looked so sweet. They didn’t realize I was being processed in a deliverance. God has a deliverance just for you too. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Don’t move to the left or right.
The reward is greater if you just remain in him, no matter who stays through it with you or who turns away.
God will always be your very present help. He is your deliverer and healer as well as your sustainer. Hold on! I had to get my praise dance on when I thought about it and this word from God came into my spirit. Be blessed! {eoa}
