Many young Americans claim they want to make a difference and have a lasting impact on the world, but don’t know where to begin.
Millennials in particular can start by opening the pages of the new book, Rise: In Defense of Judeo-Christian Values and Freedom, by New York Times best-selling author Brigitte Gabriel. Released Sept. 11, Rise arms readers with real data and compelling facts that will equip them to fight the efforts of America’s enemies to undermine the nation at every level of society. Additionally, Rise motivate readers of all ages to unite with other patriots who wish to preserve America’s endangered Judeo-Christian values and freedom.
One Millennial reader of Rise said many of her peers are so distracted by social media, they are not in tune with what is really happening in the world around them. Additionally, social media highlights biased, if not downright untrue, information so Millennials aren’t getting an accurate picture of their world.
“As Millennials, we are so stuck behind our phones that we are too afraid to put them down and stand up for what we actually believe in,” shared this young reader. “Media is so influential in our lives, so we base our beliefs on celebrities or athletes. Or we take at face value what we see in the media that is driven by the Left and don’t take the time to research anything further.”
This is no way for a young American to live, Gabriel says, especially if they want to be informed about how to save their future. For example, when writing about “the death of free speech,” especially on America’s college campuses, Gabriel notes that when radical leftists or even terrorists speak on college campuses, there are rarely violent mobs of conservatives firebombing the building or throwing deadly objects at police—as is the case when the opposite occurs.
“Years of pampering and propaganda have caused late Generation X, Millennial and Generation Z leftists to feel entitled to such behavior,” Gabriel writes. “They feel their right to not be offended trumps your right to speak your mind. But there is good news for patriots and bad news for leftists. The rapid advancements in technology over the past decade have made it much harder for brainwashing academics to maintain their propaganda monopoly. Recent polling done on Generation Z suggests a positive trend for freedom of thought. Compared to Millennials preceding them, Generation Z avoids student loans like the plague, which means they’re exercising much better scrutiny over the value of higher education. Amazingly, 12 percent of Gen Z-ers have already started saving for retirement, and a huge 21 percent of them had their own savings account since before the age of 10. Why does this matter? Because Gen Z is showing signs of independent thought and thinking outside the box, which is the antithesis of leftism. So leftist indoctrinators may face a tougher future than they think.”
Another Millennial reader pointed out that Gabriel closes every chapter with specific items and activities that serve as an easy-to-do start for those who do want to make a difference.
“Activities such as voicing our opinion on social media and getting involved in our local community by going to a town hall event are practical and easy to do,” this Millennial added.
In Rise, Gabriel communicates her most hard-hitting, explosive message yet. It’s not only a warning but also a rallying cry to unite Americans of all backgrounds in a fight for the survival of the nation, the protection of the Judeo-Christian values upon which it was built, and the preservation of the freedoms on which future generations depend.
