SBC Law Amendment on Female Pastors Fails, Denomination Chooses New President

The Southern Baptist Convention failed to pass the law amendment at their annual conference that would ban female pastors and their churches from the denomination.

The Baptist Press reports that the two-thirds vote required to pass the amendment was not reached, with 61.45% voting in favor of the amendment and 38.38% voting against the amendment.

Out of 8,298 votes, 5,099 were in favor, and 3,185 were against it. The addition of the amendment would have stated that churches who were in friendly cooperation of the denomination “affirms, appoints, or employs only men as any kind of pastor or elder as qualified by Scripture.”

Currently, the sixth section of the SBC’s Baptism and Faith Message makes it clear that the denomination will not tolerate women behind the pulpit as it states: “While both men and women are gifted for service in the church, the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture.”

The rejection of the law amendment comes as the SBC also voted on a new president. Clint Pressley of North Carolina was voted to become the president with a vote of 56.12% majority ruling.

Pressley has served as the senior pastor for Hickory Grove Baptist Church since 2010. He also sits on the board of directors for the denomination’s North Carolina state convention. Pastor Chris Justice of Lee Park Baptist Church in North Carolina says he nominated Pressley because “Clint Pressley is a man of conviction…a pastor committed to our cooperation as Southern Baptists.”

3 Reasons Prophets Fall

In an interview with Jeremiah Johnson, apostle Alexander Pagani shared the reasons he says leaders fall in this realm of ministry.

  • Caring more about what other people think than doing what God asks.

While those who are new and zealous to ministry may think they will never get caught up with what other people want, it can happen to anyone at any time.

From his own personal experience, Pagani says that he started off in ministry with the boldness to confront any and all ungodliness. However, as he became connected to more people in ministry positions, he also saw how he did not want to hurt or offend alliances he had created.

“Then I got on television and then I got in the big boys and then I got into the good ol’ boys club and I started feeling muzzled. Or my hands tied or me tying my own hands because I was thinking, ‘well I don’t want to lose this,’” Pagani says.

Instead of staying on his post as a prophetic watchman, Pagani says he started to feel the anointing lifting off as he gravitated more toward good news messages alone. It is when the world starts to become a sweet invitation, an appealing source, that prophets should feel concerned about their heart posture.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i28xEYtSqE0&t=457s

  • It’s not about you or your gifting.

One of the reasons why prophets can end up failing is because they allow people to make it about them and their gifts. However, it is through the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit alone that we are ever able to minister to God’s people.

“Many people have passed the test of obscurity and have failed miserably the path of notoriety,” Johnson says. “Just because you succeed in obscurity doesn’t mean you’re going to pass notoriety…prophetic people, please you know find people, invite people into your life. We need the fear of the Lord in the prophetic ministry again.”

  • Prophets need prayer just as much as any other person.

Prophets are people as well, and therefore they need prayer. Just as prophets can have the enemy attack them like any other person, they need to be prayed over just as much as those who go to them for prayer and prophetic words.

Pagani says this is something that he and Johnson do for one another. They’ve prayed for each other for deliverance and in the middle of life’s struggles.

“You called me for deliverance,” Pagani says to Johnson. “I’ve reached out to and I’ve told you, ‘man, I need you to pray for me; I’m really struggling right now.’”

Those who operate in the prophetic are people who need prayer in the same way the rest of us need prayer. In fact, it could even be argued that they need it even more than some of us because they are constantly dealing with battles in the spirit.

Whether you find yourself in the position of a prophet or not, these lessons are valuable to hold onto because they are reminders that humility and fear of the Lord is necessary for those who want to be humble servants of God.

Delivered From Death: Man Healed of HIV, 15 Years in Homosexuality

“For with God nothing will be impossible,” (Luke 1:37).

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, far more than anything we ever could have thought or imagined. For Jose, that meant complete healing from HIV and deliverance from a life of homosexuality.

Sharing his testimony at apostle Kathryn Krick’s Five-Fold Church, Jose says that he experienced complete transformation in these areas that had a grip on him for years.

“I went to the medical place and my dad was like, ‘well you got to keep praying because it came out positive,’” Jose shares. “And the lady was like, ‘no, sir, we said positive that the results got here. But there’s nothing. It’s gone.’”

Jose’s medical miracle was just the first step in him becoming more of who God created Him to be. Jose says that ever since he started going to Five-Fold Church, he has seen the power of God bring him peace and protection.

“I’ve learned about my true identity, my authority in Christ and how all things are possible,” Jose says.

Since giving his life over to Jesus, Jose not only has been cured of the incurable, but he’s seen the Holy Spirit’s power working through him to see other people changed by the message of Christ.

“As soon as service was over I began to put some worship music and I said, ‘God’s here to bring freedom to all of you guys’ and as soon I said that like five girls started yelling the back of the room. Some began to throw up. Others just fell back,” Jose says. “The power of God is evident.”

Jose’s testimony shows that God is more than able to deliver people out of bondage and use them to grab more people out of the pit of hell to bring them into the kingdom of heaven.

L.A. Marzulli: The Mormon Church’s Dark Tie to the Nephilim

What is one of the greatest kept secrets of the Mormon church?

In an interview with Charisma Media, Nephilim expert L.A. Marzulli uncovered the dark secret of the Mormon church and how it relates back to the Nephilim.

The first thing Marzulli puts as a disclaimer about the Mormon church is that the gospel they adhere to is not the same gospel that Christians do.

Breaking News. Spirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

“It’s another gospel. It’s a false gospel. With all due to respect to Mormons out there. It’s not the gospel that we know,” Marzulli says.
One of the point the emphasized by Mormon beliefs is that the Nephi and his sons came from the Middle East and began populating the Americas. This is something Marzulli says is filled with half-truths.

“Mixed in with that are some half-truths. So, the Nephites are the Nephilim. And they did come over so that’s partially true,” Marzulli says.
Marzulli himself was given an invitation by a woman in Salt Lake City who said she could show him where the sarcophagi of the Nephilim in the area were located. However, Marzulli noticed something else when he got to Salt Lake City for this interview.

“We flew in and when we got there, we were being watched. We were immediately met by a higher up in the Mormon Church who took us into Salt Lake City, the Grand Poobah building,” Marzulli says.

“There’s a guy that I interviewed in Salt Lake…and they did find giant bones,” Marzulli continues. “He was a building inspector and they did find giant bones in an excavation for a building and immediately the powers that be came in, shut the site down, cordoned it all off and extracted the material gone forever.”

Marzulli says these fascinating discoveries and disappearances could be part of the half-truths that Mormonism succumbs to for their basis of belief.

“It makes sense because I believe there was a diaspora of Nephilim tribes when Joshua and Caleb did push the conquest of Canaan,” Marzulli says.

Marzulli believes the spread of Nephilim help to explain some of the unique things about the Americas and even Europe, including large free-standing stones.

Marzulli points out that even the oral traditions of Native Americans point to the reality of Nephilim in America. Stories about lances that were large enough to go through three natives at once during war are not only alive, but evidence of one was discovered in Michigan.

Dinosaurs and Faith: What Christians Need to Know

For years, people have wondered what exactly happened to the dinosaurs. On top of that, some debate the probability of the existence of dinosaurs altogether. Yet, what if there’s a possible, biblical explanation as to why these creatures disappeared?

Ham points out how the name of these creatures first came about in 1841 by Sir Richard Owen after discovering the bones of animals known as the Igaunodon and the Megalosaurus. These creatures skeletal systems appeared to be dramatically different than other land-dwelling creatures.

“Dinosaur came from two Greek words; ‘denos’ and ‘sorus’ which means ‘terrible lizard,’” Ham says.

When we think of dinosaurs, we tend to think of massive beasts too great for humans to kill. The discussion of dinosaurs have left some Christians saying it’s impossible for them to have existed, and for others, they have been a reason used to not believe in the Bible at all. However, these “terrible lizards” can and do complement Scripture.

“A lot of Christians say, ‘How do you fit dinosaurs into the Bible?’ Well, you don’t do that. We’ve got to start with God’s Word because we have a revelation given to us from God and in Genesis 1 to 11 that is the foundational history for everything to understand the origin of all the basic entities of life in the universe,” Ham says.

Ham reminds us that the dinosaurs would have fallen under the same category of being created by God on the sixth day like any other animal. Ham believes there would have been at least a thousand different types of animals that would have needed to fit onto the ark.

“They came off the ark after the flood. Those that were drowned during the flood, some of them were turned into fossils,” Ham says.

Ham says that while many will disagree with him, the world’s climate would have been altered following the flood. He believes the earth has seen all kinds of climate changes throughout the years, including the Ice Age period. It’s quite possible that what happened with the dinosaurs has to do with these changes over the years.

“There’s no real mystery when you start from God’s Word and build a biblical worldview to understand dinosaurs,” Ham says.

By looking at the start of creation along with other natural causes and phenomena, Ham concludes that the existence of dinosaurs and Scripture are not contrary to each other, but instead they can complement one another in the framework of how God designed our world.

6-Year-Old Accepts Jesus, Dies Weeks Later in Bizarre Accident

A six-year-old girl passed away in a freak accident just weeks after accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior.

As Fox News reported, Lucy Morgan and her family were enjoying their last day of vacation in Maine when a bizarre badminton accident occurred.

“This morning was beautiful just like every other morning had been this week,” Lucy’s father, Jesse Morgan wrote on his New Creation Living Blog.

“Due to a freak accident with a racquet that broke on a downward swing, a sharp piece had entered Lucy’s skull while she was sitting on the sideline and caused catastrophic injury. She was still breathing but unresponsive as I held her with Bethany crying out to God.”

Lucy eventually passed away from the traumatic injuries she endured. The timing of Lucy’s death comes just weeks after she wanted to know more about Jesus.

“Four weeks ago, she asked Bethany how to be with God and be saved. Bethany explained it to her and offered to pray with her, but ‘Miss Independent’ wanted to do it herself. She went to her room and prayed to God to forgive her and that she believed in Jesus’ death and resurrection. What a gift,” Morgan writes.

Lucy kept a prayer journal where she wrote “God is amazing and He is so amazing.” She also wrote “God and Lucy. God is so amazing and He is the true God and He created everything and He died on the cross for our sins.”

Pray for the Morgan family as they walk out this difficult journey of losing a precious daughter and sister.

Another Former Disney Star Moves Toward the Demonic

Another former Disney star has gone down the route of the demonic with her latest musical stylings.

Sabrina Carpenter, who was known for her role on Disney’s “Girl Meets World,” has dramatically shifted her image over the years. However, her more “grown up” image has unfortunately morphed into demonic imagery and idolatry.

Carpenter’s latest song, “Please Please Please” discusses the devil being inside of her boyfriend.

I heard that you’re an actor, so act like a stand-up guy / whatever devil’s inside you, don’t let him out tonight / I tell them it’s just your culture and everyone rolls their eyes.

These lyrics combined with the fact that Carpenter released a song last year called “Feather” that used Catholic imagery in jest seems to suggest something darker than the mere “fun and games” of pop music.

Breaking News. Spirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

The music video for “Feather” was filmed in a Catholic church where candle offerings are shown with a container that reads “RIP,” a sideways cross and an angel wearing a shirt that says “Good girls go 2 heaven.” Carpenter wears a provocative funeral attire, with the video showing any man interested in her dying a bloody and gruesome death. By the end of the video, the coffins of the men are placed at the front of the altar in the church. One of the coffins even used expletives with “RIP” on its cover.

This video resulted in a Catholic priest losing his administrative duties, as per Teen Vogue. Catholic News Agency received a statement from the parish which said that the parish’s bishop “is appalled at what was filmed at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Brooklyn.”

We no longer live in a time or a society where we can just assume that whatever is trending is safe for children and even adults to watch and listen to. The years of trusting Disney and the stars behind their content are long gone. Instead, Christians must use careful discernment to decide what kind of entertainment should be allowed in their lives and for their spiritual growth and maturity.

Jonathan Cahn: Ezekiel, Prophecy and the Ancient Entity

Have we started to see the Ezekiel prophecy come to pass?

In his latest prophetic message, Jonathan Cahn unlocks how we are seeing the beginning of the Ezekiel prophecy come to pass in our world today.

To pre-order Jonathan Cahn’s latest book, “The Dragon’s Prophecy,” visit Amazon.com.

“Raisi was called, ‘The Butcher,’” Cahn says. “He was a feared man, a hated man. He was responsible for the brutal repressing of Iranian dissidence. He was a prominent judge on the Iranian death commission. He sentenced and called for the execution without trial [for] thousands of innocent Iranians to go to their death.”

Raisi even took things a step further by actively launching an attack against Israel.

Breaking News. Spirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

“God said, ‘He who touches Israel touches the apple of my eye,’” Cahn says. “It is a dangerous thing to do what Raisi did.”

“The weapon he used to bring destruction to Israel again was airborne,” Cahn continues. “His death would come airborne. Through the sky crashing into Iranian soil, that his life would be brought to an end.”

So, how does Raisi and his death connect to the Ezekiel prophecy?

“The prophet Ezekiel foretold that in the last days when Israel is gathered back to the land, the nation called Paras, or Persia or Iran will launch a military attack against it,” Cahn says.

This was the first time Iran ever directly attacked Israel, matching up perfectly with Ezekiel’s prophecy. While this attack has not solidified the fulfilment of this prophecy, Cahn believes it helped to make major strides toward it.

“Raisi was the closest one in fulfilling Ezekiel’s prophecy and what happened to him? He crashed into a mountain,” Cahn says.

Ezekiel 39:4 reads: “You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you.”

When this prophecy is completely fulfilled, the enemies of Israel will fall on those mountains. However, Cahn believes what happened here with Raisi is just an image of what is still to come. In fact, Iran connects to what the Scripture discusses in the book of Daniel, the rebuilding of the temple and the Antichrist as discussed in the book of Revelation. The demonic entity of the ‘sar paras’ found in Daniel is seeking to keep the return of Christ from happening.

“He’s against end time prophecy being given, the end time purposes of God concerning Israel [and] the Jewish people in the last days,” Cahn says. “In the last days you’ve got an anti-Israel demonic entity. It happens to be linked to one specific nation: Persia. And Persia is Iran, the sar paras can be translated as the ruler of Iran, a demonic spirit ruling, leading Iran.”

Pray for Elon Musk: X to Allow for Pornography

This is the time that believers should be praying for Elon Musk.

Musk is one of the most powerful people in the world, but with that great influence also comes great responsibility.

Right now, one of the fatal flaws he’s made is allowing X to become an X-rated platform by allowing pornography onto the site.

Breaking News. Spirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

The official policy of X has been updated to read: “You may share consensually produced and distributed adult nudity or sexual behavior, provided it’s properly labeled and not prominently displayed.”

The media platform asks for adults to mark their content with a warning. If the content has not been marked, X will adjust the user’s account settings to do so. Minors and those who do not add their birthdate to their profile will not be allowed to view the content.

Regardless of what kinds of restrictions are placed on this content, it does not change the immorality behind it. Even within their own guidelines it’s hard to decipher whether or not the content posted to X has been “consensually produced and distributed.” The increase for troubles like human trafficking, including child trafficking and exploitation, are real concerns even with restrictions.

Recently, prophetic voice Amanda Grace had a word for Musk that he should consider heavily right now. In that message Grace shared how important it is for Musk to learn that the spiritual realm is real and exists.

“Elon, there is a kingdom of darkness,” Grace prophesied. “Advanced beyond the technology you so have ushered in. And yes, Elon, there is the kingdom of the Almighty God in which I sit on the highest throne.”

Continue to pray for Elon’s eyes to be opened to the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. If Elon were to give his life to Christ, he would have the opportunity to change the world in ways much beyond anything that we ever could have hoped for or imagined.

SBC To Vote on Removing Churches with Female Pastors

The Southern Baptist Convention is ready to make their next move of removing female pastors for good.

The SBC’s annual meeting will commence next Tuesday and Wednesday, June 11-12. During this meeting, they will vote on if they want to amend the denomination’s constitution to remove churches with female pastors.

As the SBC relentlessly tightens its grip on the role of women in the church, the long-awaited verdict in this enduring debate looms ever closer.

The Associated Press reported that this vote will not just affect women in the top leadership positions as the SBC tries to double-down on their current doctrinal statement which states that pastoral jobs are “limited to men as qualified by Scripture.”

On the SBC’s site, they state that while women were not asked to step away from ministry leadership during last year’s meeting, “Southern Baptists did take steps to affirm their belief that the office of pastor is reserved for qualified men.”

The amending of the SBC constitution is a two-year-process that requires another two-thirds majority vote at this year’s annual meeting. If the amendment is approved, it will add for Article III to read “Affirms, appoints, or employs only men as any kind of pastor or elder.”

The sixth section of the SBC’s Baptism and Faith Message currently makes their positioning on women clear: “While both men and women are gifted for service in the church, the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture.”

This vote is to come after last year’s decision of the Southern Baptist Convention to uphold the ousting of Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church. The megachurch was found not to be in cooperation of the SBC’s faith statement after appointing and allowing Saddleback’s new lead pastor’s wife, Stacie Wood, take on the role of “teaching pastor.”

Warren appealed the decision at last year’s annual meeting, but the SBC made the separation final.
