In a recent message to the body of Christ, prophetic voice Jeremiah Johnson explained seven things he believes Christians should be prepared for in this upcoming year.

1. An army of intercessors must rise up to shield Donald Trump as the incoming president.

“I know that there has been a lot of prayer, I know that there has been a lot of intercession from saints to get Donald Trump elected as president,” says Johnson. “As much prayer as many people put into his election, there is a greater need to pray for Donald Trump and his presidency now that he has been elected. In other words, there’s great danger that the saints, the watchmen, the church, just kind of goes back to sleep now that he is elected as president.”

Johnson says that there is need to pray in three main areas concerning Donald Trump and his incoming presidency. Johnson says Trump has been elected as a wartime president for such a time as this. However, he believes the enemy will do anything he can to stop God’s purposes for him during these times. He further believes the enemy will try to attack and tempt Trump in a very specific way. Last, Johnson says that we must pray against any further assassination attempts on Donald Trump’s life.

2. There is not only an external war being waged on Israel, but an internal, spiritual one as well.

Johnson says that while many people have been focused on the external war happening within Israel, he says the Lord gave him a prophetic dream about what is happening in the spiritual realm regarding Israel.

“I had a recent prophetic dream where I found myself in Israel, and God said to me, ‘Jeremiah, although much attention is being placed on the conflict and war coming against Israel externally, you must realize that the greater war and conflict is coming against Israel internally. For there is a spirit of accusation within the Israeli government that will seek to sabotage the plans I have her. The intercessors must pray not only for the enemies of Israel who surround her, but also the enemies of Israel who dwell within her,'” Johnson prophesies.

3. A group of preachers of holiness will rise in 2025 after the great exposure of sexual sin in the church in 2024.

Johnson says he saw a vision that starting this year and beyond the Lord would hand out “the spears of Phineas” to specific individuals who had consecrated themselves to God with a strong stand for righteousness. While Johnson believes the exposure of more sexual wickedness will come out in 2025, he says this will happen during a time of righteous leaders being raised up.

“As some fall in 2025 and beyond, God is raising up a new generation of pure, holy, devoted messengers who are going to make Jesus great again,” Johnson says.

4. This is a time to remember Mephibosheth.

Mephibosheth, who was the grandson of Saul, the son of Jonathan in the Old Testament, is not a person from Scripture we tend to think about a lot. Mephibosheth was unable to walk throughout his lifetime, and when David began to reign as king, David gave him a place to sit at his table, one of honor and royalty. It is the Mephibosheths of today that Johnson says we must take into account.

“In a recent prophetic dream, God began to show me a generation of Mephibosheths who have been sidelined and hurt by the religious system, but who will find healing and restoration at David’s table in 2025 and beyond,” says Johnson. “Many of these Mephibosheths are victims of abuse and the poor and the needy whom have been forgotten about.”

5. This is the season for oil, stewardship and judgment.

Johnson says the Lord highlighted the teachings of Matthew 25 to him for what we can expect in 2025 and beyond.

“The first is the parable of the 10 virgins,” says Johnson. “The need to have oil in our lamps, this is intimacy with God, has never been greater in this season. We must not become so focused on building ministries or churches that we lose our prayer lives. God is going to raise up burning and shining lamps in the spirit of John the Baptist who will confront many regarding their apathy and complacency with God.”

He also believes that stewarding our time, money and possessions in God-honoring ways will also make a difference in 2025 and beyond.

6. We will see an increase in angelic activity.

Johnson had a prophetic dream that he believes will mean some people will experience more angelic activity.

“I received a prophetic dream in September of 2024 of a large number of angels being assigned to many people, leaders and even nations in 2025 and beyond. Psalm 34:7 says, ‘The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them. ‘ The fear of the Lord is a major key in God delivering His people in the years ahead.”

Johnson says three types of angels that he saw being released included angels for provision, protection and warfare.

7. There is a war on our words.

Johnson notes that during this time while many people have been called to start new businesses, ministries and churches, there is a very real and tangible Leviathan attack coming against our words and seasons. However, he says this demonic monster will be defeated.

“As Leviathan attempts to sow discord, betrayal and confusion during new seasons, I want to encourage you if you’re underneath this attack or it’s coming in 2025 and beyond, you can escape Leviathan’s grasp by remaining humble,” says Johnson.

As the Palisades wildfire continues to ravage Los Angeles, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars have recounted their experiences of evacuating and losing their homes.

Actor James Woods described his tale of evacuating and how God’s hand must have been on his elderly neighbor who had just arrived home the day before from the hospital.

After leaving his house, Woods says he remembered his 94-year-old neighbor with dementia. Knowing that the neighbor had been in the hospital, he was uncertain whether or not he was at home.

“God was on his side,” Woods says. “I decided to call his son in Massachusetts, and said, ‘Hey, Francis, just to be sure, your dad’s still in the hospital, right?’ He said, ‘No, he got home last night, and there’s a new caregiver, and I don’t have the number.'”

While Woods was not allowed to go back up toward the home, he called 911 for a welfare check on the neighbor. Dealing with some miscommunication, Woods contacted another neighbor who was able to locate the elderly man who was in his home alone. It was soon after this when the homes in the neighborhood were obliterated by the raging wildfire.

Other Hollywood stars who have lost homes, according to the Associated Press (AP), include Mandy Moore, Paris Hilton and Billy Crystal.

As the AP noted, Moore took to Instagram where she shared that her children’s school was demolished, along with their favorite restaurants. Crystal made a statement about losing the home that he and his wife had lived in for 45 years, saying that: “We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.”

Fires and natural destruction do not look at a person’s status or how much they make. Disasters of various sorts are certain to hit all of us at different points in life. Pray for everyone who has lost much in these wildfires, and pray that out of this tragedy the elites of Hollywood would seriously take the time to think about their need for a Savior that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

“Yet even now, declares the LORD, return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting and with weeping and with mourning,” (Joel 2:12).

Fasting is a key spiritual discipline we read about in both the Old and New Testaments. It was after a 21-day fast that Daniel saw spiritual breakthrough, Esther saw her people delivered after a three day fast and Jesus said that some demonic spirits require prayer and fasting to be cast out. Fasting, then, is something the Lord desires for His people to do in order to seek His presence and see the manifestation of things happen on earth as it is in heaven.

In a recent sermon, Jentezen Franklin shared with the Free Chapel congregation how fasting can be a key to removing the burdens of your soul.

“It’s a powerful thing when you humble yourself in fasting and prayer. You cannot humble yourself in prayer and God not exalt you. It is impossible. You cannot humble yourself in fasting and seeking God with all of your heart and God not exalt you. It would be unbiblical for that to happen. If you humble yourself, Psalm 35 says, ‘We humbled ourselves with fasting.’ So fasting is a manifestation of humility that says, ‘I desperately need you,'” Franklin says.

Franklin says that fasting can represent the part of the sacrificed bull or sheep that the priests, the Levites, were to have as their inheritance: the shoulders, cheeks and stomach of the animal. The shoulders, Franklin says, represent the burdens we carry, the heaviness we experience in life. These are the things we must hand over to Jesus because His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

The Promise of Freedom

Franklin dives into Isaiah 58:6 which reads, “Is not this the fast that I have chosen: too loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke?”

“When you fast you’re going to unload. You’re going to give [the Lord] the shoulder that’s been carrying all this stuff and [He’s] going to let the oppressed go free, and [God’s] going to break every yoke and lift the heaviness of of you, and you’re going to smile again and you’re going to have faith again and you’re not going to let the trials of life just oppress you and beat you down,” he says.

“Sometimes we think when we go into a new year we just are supposed to bring the same old stuff, but I feel like God is trying to say to us today, on this fast, don’t go into the new year with last year’s burdens. Let it go. Leave it there,” he continues.

There is nothing that we go through without a reason. If you went through trials in 2024, Vlad Savchuk recently explained how these situations can be used for your benefit in 2025.

“Each season of your life will have garments. And when seasons change, garments change. Sometimes your seasons will change because somebody will rip a garment out of you,” Savchuk says.

Savchuk says that when these changes happen, it is necessary to have your roots planted deeply in God. He also encouraged others to understand that God will work in us first to accomplish all that He has for us. However, just because God chooses to do the work in us first before bringing us into all that He has planned, it doesn’t change the fact that He wants to fulfill the things He has promised to us.

“Before God works through you, He sends a word to you. God does not play games with words. He created the world with His Word. God, before He gave Abraham a son, He gave him a word. Before God gave Israel promised land, He gave them promised word,” Savchuk says. “God always works like that. He brings a word to you before He starts a work through you.”

Just as Joseph was tested before God placed him in a position of power and authority, the Lord also tests us first before bringing us to the place of promise.

“When He gives you a promise, He’s not considering your weakness and your strength. He’s considering His grace, His power and His Spirit,” Savchuk says. “So that when that word comes true, you will not take credit and boast in it but you will say, ‘It was not my might, it was not by power. It was by God’s Spirit that this happened in my life.”

He also points out that just as it takes time for a baby to come to full term, so too our dreams take time to come to full term. If something comes to pass too soon, it will not last. This means that not only is the promise itself important to God, but so is the process of spiritual growth and development. If your faith was tested in 2024, it is part of the process of God testing you and bringing you into what He has next for your life. Savchuk also notes how God uses the bad things that happen in our lives for our good.

“His eyes scan to and fro the earth to see whose heart is loyal. He’s no respecter of your circumstances. He doesn’t care what people said about you and what they’ve done to you. If He chooses the time to release you, no devil in hell can stop you.”

For some, Bible reading is a habit they desire to keep, but struggle to, or are simply new to it. In a recent video, John and Lisa Bevere provided some essential keys that Christians can use to keep their Bible reading goals all year long.

Using 1 Timothy 4:7-8, John Bevere discusses how the apostle Paul tells us that we should train ourselves in godliness.

“That actually means that we’re responsible to develop godliness in our life,” Lisa Bevere says.

The Beveres points out that only 11% of people in the church read their Bibles on a consistent, daily basis, while right now 60% are desiring to grow in the spiritual disciplines. With that incongruency of the number of people wanting to grow with God but so many not regularly placing Scripture reading as part of their life, where do we go from here?

The first bit of advice that John Bevere provides is to bring the Holy Spirit into your time of Bible reading.

“When I read my Bible in the morning, I always pray and I’ve taught our whole family this, pray that the Holy Spirit will teach you because Jesus said He’s our teacher,” he says.

He also advises that instead of our goal simply being to get through the Scripture that we take the time meditate on the Word and all the Holy Spirit to minister however He desires, including through the prompting of other verses as well and the meditation of different ideas that He brings to our remembrance.

“I think the higher goal is to say, ‘I want a more intimate relationship with God,'” he explains.

Bevere also advises that people get into a consistent Bible reading plan so that you can see the world around you differently, and through this consistency, the hunger and excitement to read more from the Word of God will arise.

Lisa Bevere also stressed that consistency instead of a specific time is the bigger goal, especially for those who have young children. John also suggests perhaps starting in the New Testament, including it in with your reading, or taking Exodus a bit slower so that the reading of the measurements for the Tabernacle do not become boring or take you off-focus from the goal of reading God’s Word.

“When you read the Word of God you’re going to be glad you did it. When you spend time meditating, contemplating, asking the Holy Spirit to speak to you when you’re reading the Scripture, you’re going to be glad you did it,” John says.

In an interview on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Rogan spoke with Wesley Huff about Jesus’ resurrection and how it connects to biblical prophecy foretold thousands of years prior to His birth.

Speaking on the Dead Sea Scrolls, the book of Isaiah and the ancient connections of these texts, Rogan points out the uncanny reality that these texts are accurate in the story they tell.

“…imagine how crazy that is that something in a time where there’s no printed press and something had been passed on for so long as oral tradition is exact word for word written in a cave in Qumran, and then the same thing you get in the English translation of the Bible today,” says Rogan.

Huff later points out the actual absurdity of what Christianity must look like from the world’s point of view.

“…that is kind of the crazy thing about Christianity where you have this Jewish itinerate guy who’s walking around first century Roman occupied Judea. He’s making some pretty audacious claims to be God Himself, and then He predicts His own death and resurrection,” says Huff.

Huff also points out that the disciples were terrified following Jesus’ death, but because of the resurrection, they were able to change the world around them.

“They go from 11 scared men,” says Huff, “To completely overhauling the Roman world in only a couple hundred years because of this claim that they say they saw Jesus resurrected.”

Rogan asks Huff what his personal take is on Jesus’ resurrection, or if he sticks just to interpreting the message based on historical evidence.

“You have a guy who objectively lived. He objectively died, and then individuals close to His inner circle claim that they see Him not dead,” Huff says.

Rogan notes that these claims of Jesus’ resurrection would have been incredibly unusual.

“It’s hard when you’re dealing with illiterate populations, you’re dealing with thousands of years of time, you’re dealing with an oral tradition…it’s very difficult for anybody who thinks of themselves as an intelligent person who’s secular to even entertain the possibility that someone died and [came] back to life,” says Rogan.

While Rogan continues to ponder on the reality of Jesus’ resurrection, Huff points out that the gospels were written during the timeframe of the eyewitness accounts, meaning there were plenty of people who could have fact-checked these testimonies. He notes how Scripture tells us that hundreds of people saw Jesus after the resurrection, and that Jesus stayed on this earth for 40 days following His resurrection.

“…Jesus was walking around teaching them for 40 days after He was resurrected from the dead. And so, these are written within a time period when you have people who would have seen Jesus’ ministry,” says Huff.

As Joe Rogan continues to have guests on that continue to get him to think about the gospel, about Jesus death and resurrection, pray that he would see the light and connect Jesus as being the Way, the Truth and the Life.

God promises us to give us beauty for ashes, and through His glorious grace and mercy, He makes all things new. In prophetic word for January 2025, Alwyn Uys described what he believes the Lord has spoken for the month of January and how it will carry over into the rest of the year.

“I believe this is something God is orchestrating not just for January 2025, what this word is about, but something that leads into the whole of 2025,” says Uys.

Uys says that the Lord gave him a glimpse at 2024 compared with 2025 and how each of these years served their own purpose.

“In Psalm 25 verse 4 [it] says, ‘Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths.’ And I believe that in 2024 there was a lot of stripping taking place, a lot of cleansing taking place, not just individually but also corporately. We saw a lot of turmoil happen in the body of Christ,” Uys says.

Uys compares 2024 to a time of cleaning and cleansing to remove whatever does not belong. He also says that there were things the Lord was doing for a period of time that lasted for a bit, but that this season is coming to an end.

“In order to step over into 2025, and going forth with the Lord, building with Him, we had to let go of certain things,” says Uys.

Uys says this time of stripping things away is much like when a house gets painted. In order to place new paint on the house, it’s considered the best practice to remove the paint that was previously there.

“God was laying the blueprint for what He wants to do in 2025. In this 2024, He was pointing you in the right direction. He was guiding you along the path that He wants you to go into. But it was necessary that some things had to fall down to the wayside in order that God may lead you onto the path that He has for you, that He can give you the blueprint.”

Uys points to Psalm 127:1 which reads, “Except the LORD build the house, those who build labor in vain; except the LORD guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”

“In 2025, January heading into the rest of the year, God now has a stable foundation that when He can build on,” says Uys. “He needed a clean slate. He needed a clean foundation in order that He can be the cornerstone and everything from here on out is built upon Jesus.”

Uys says 2024 was a time to experience God’s heart. Now, in this new year, we will see the hand of the Lord.

“In 2024, many people experienced the presence of God, but it was seeing the heart of the Father. Now in 2025, it’s about seeing the hand of God.”

The old year of 2024, as Uys says, was about going deeper with the Lord and seeing Him point clearly in the right direction. This included the stripping and cleansing away of old things past, but 2025 will be a time of seeing the fruit of what God has been working on. He also advises that believers intentionally seek the Lord first in all that they do in 2025.

In a new prophetic message, Jonathan Cahn unpacked what he believes the Lord was saying through the New Year’s Eve lightning strikes on major U.S. buildings in New York and Washington D.C.

Cahn first points out that it was the Washington Monument, the Capitol, the Empire State building and the One World Trade Center that were all hit with the lightning. The odds of lightning hitting all of these buildings on the same day, right before the start of the new year is not likely at all. It is quite plausible that this event was indeed a message, a warning from the Lord.

“What does the Bible say about this phenomenon?” Cahn asks. “The Bible speaks of God sending fire from heaven, and lightning, literally…it says that God directs the lightning bolt. The lightning is His arrow. The Lord, it says, shall be seen over them and His arrow shall go forth as lightning.”

Cahn says that while many supporters of Trump were noted for seeing this sign as a positive one because of the president-elect’s soon arrival into D.C., he believes the lightning bolts were not necessarily a positive occurrence.

“Now we do hope for great things in the days ahead. Was the victory of Donald Trump against the woke, anti-biblical agenda a great victory? Yes, it was. Was God in it? I have no doubt. Was it the answer to the prayers of His people? I have no doubt it was…but, there is another side, and we have to be vigilant,” says Cahn.

Cahn says that while D.C. is known for government, New York City is a symbol of more than just government, but also of our culture too.

The lightning struck all four American icons. And more than that, each is a symbol. The Washington Monument was made in honor of the nation’s first president, and it’s also a symbol of America. The Capitol building is called the people’s temple, the temple of democracy, the seat of the American government, another symbol representing America. The Empire State building was for a long time the tallest building on earth, and it was at a time when American civilization and power had reached its pinnacle. It symbolized the grandeur, the ascendancy of America over the rest of the nations. And the tower at Ground Zero, the tallest building in America, another symbol of American power, of its ascendancy, of its greatness and more.

Cahn points out that these two cities represent the political and economic power of the United States. He also makes the point that the first president, George Washington, was inaugurated in New York City, not in Washington D.C. He further draws the connection that the 9/11 attacks hit both cities.

“Could God be reminding us? Could God be seeking to wake us up? Could God be warning us that is has not stopped, and that if we do not turn back there is more to come?”

He says the number four, for the four buildings hit with the lightning, is also significant, as this number represents a foundation, the number of corners in a building. Four also could represent the number of years of the incoming presidential administration as well.

“The striking this now is literally on the verge of 2025. We have something that just happened we need to take very seriously as a warning, a reminder [of] just how high the stakes are for our future.”

In a recent Zoom Day of Prayer for 2025, Benny Hinn shared what he believes the church should know for the year 2025.

“This is the year where our hearts must be properly adjusted,” Hinn says. “This is going to be probably, in the church, the greatest move of growth we’ve seen. There’s going to be a growth among the remnants in the church we have not seen before.”

Hinn believes this growth in the church will take place around the globe in some of the most unexpected places.

“This is going to happen this year. It started already, but there’s going to be an intensity that hasn’t been seen before among the young people especially. I’m talking about globally, especially in China,” says Hinn. “I sense that in my heart for this year that God Almighty is going to move gloriously in China, in Iran, in Turkey, in the Arab world, in Eastern Europe.”

Hinn says he believes 2025 will be a year where God’s glory will be present in the places that have yet to experience much of His great power and authority.

“…such as Eastern Europe, such as the Arab world. Yeah, there’s been a move here and a move there in some parts like Egypt, Lebanon, so on. But I think it’s going to spread incredibly. Mark my words, you’re going to hear reports happening inside Iraq, inside Syria. Inside parts of the Arab world we really haven’t heard much about,” says Hinn.

Hinn says because of the great darkness that has been experienced, people’s hearts will be ripe for change.

“The light of God is going to shine on nations this year that we have not heard much about, including North Korea. Including Saudi Arabia…there’s a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit that is descending.”

In a recent video, Jenny Weaver shared a prophetic warning she has for those in ministry and the schemes of the devil the body of Christ needs to be praying against at this current time.

“I want to talk to you about something I saw,” Weaver says. “A minister killing spirit.”

“There’s been something that has been unleashed…more so now than ever before in the history of the church. Something has been unleashed to specifically target, attack, kill off and take out ministers.”

Weaver says this attack is targeting ministries that are making great progress for the kingdom of God.

“The enemy has ramped up attacks to take the players out of the game,” she says.

Weaver points out that it is the enemy’s goal to see ministers go into bitterness and backslide so that he can take them out for the purpose of advancing the gospel.

“We have ministers that are being attacked. We have people who are questioning, ‘is it even worth it?'”

One of the things Weaver points out as a necessity for the body of Christ is that each of us must look toward the cross. Each individual Christian must first look to Jesus, not expecting their pastor to be their savior, but rather being completely secure and confident in who God is and what He can do through them, for them and inside of them. She also advises that Christians stay planted and rooted in a ministry instead of constantly moving from one to another.

While the trials and tribulations in 2024 were many, Weaver believes this can be a year for all of God’s children to experience breakthrough.

“As you go into 2025, go in the breakthrough anointing. Go in with everything that tried to kill you in 2024, it broke off of you now,” says Weaver. “Everything that tried to hold you back breaks. He [the enemy] is defeated by blood of the Lamb.”
