Disney Cancels Goosebumps Reboot After Backlash Over LGBTQ and Sexual Themes

Disney+ has canceled its Goosebumps reboot, a teen horror series that critics say injected sexual themes and LGBTQ messaging into programming aimed at children. The streaming platform quietly dropped the show, which featured Friends actor David Schwimmer and trans-identifying activist Miles McKenna, after just one season. The cancellation follows the removal of other Disney+ titles praised for “queer representation,” including The Acolyte and Willow.

According to Pink News, the series included a controversial scene in episode six, written by lesbian author Mariko Tamaki, in which two teen characters, Cece and Alex, share a kiss framed as the most significant romantic moment in the show. Critics argue that the inclusion of a same-sex romantic plotline in a children’s program represents another example of Disney targeting young audiences with sexualized content under the guise of diversity.

Opponents of the trend contend that themes of sexual identity in youth programming cross a moral boundary, undermining parental authority and exposing children to adult concepts prematurely. Supporters of traditional family values argue that while entertainment for LGBTQ audiences has a place, it should be separate from children’s programming.

The controversy surrounding Goosebumps is the latest in a series of public relations challenges for Disney, which in recent years has faced sharp criticism for prioritizing progressive social messaging over family-friendly storytelling. The company, once regarded as a cultural guardian of childhood innocence, is now seen by many parents as a vehicle for ideological activism.

As more streaming platforms compete for subscribers, Disney’s choice to embed sexual identity themes into shows aimed at younger viewers has fueled calls for parents to closely monitor what their children watch, and for the entertainment industry to return to age-appropriate boundaries in youth content.

Amanda Grace Warns of ‘Avenging August’ Ahead of Trump and Putin Meeting

In a striking convergence of political developments and prophetic warning, Amanda Grace of Ark of Grace Ministries is urging believers to pray ahead of the upcoming meeting between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Aug. 15, 2025.

The meeting comes just weeks after Grace says she received a word from the Lord on July 18, 2025, specifically mentioning Russia, Alaska and a coming geopolitical shake-up. In the prophetic excerpt, she recounts hearing:

A bear is around the bend, says the Lord. He’s talking about Russia. There is a temptation for Russia in this hour to do flybys and such threats against America, says the Lord. Alaska is shaking for a reason… It is a warning of what is about to come.

According to the prophecy, both Russian and Ukrainian leadership will lose their seats “in tandem,” with one ousted by “a coup of their own making.” Grace said the Lord revealed this would disrupt the unity between Russia, Iran and China, as God takes “an ax of judgment” to their root system to delay their advance.

PROPHETIC ALERT! President Trump to meet with Putin in Alaska August 15th! An Avenging August! #putin #Russia #Russiagate #America #PresidentTrump #prophecy #Biblical #Alaska #alaskaisrussia

Now, with the Trump-Putin summit set in Alaska, Grace believes these prophetic warnings could be beginning to unfold.

“This enormous meeting has been announced in Alaska for the month of August,” she said. “What I’m gonna call this is an ‘Avenging August’ that works both ways—those wanting to avenge what they feel President Trump has done to them, as well as avenging what has happened to America.”

Grace emphasized that this month will be a time of high-stakes spiritual and political conflict, with forces on both sides seeking to “avenge” perceived wrongs. She urged Christians to be alert and to intercede for God’s will to be accomplished in the days ahead.

From a biblical perspective, prophetic voices often point to the imagery of a bear as symbolic of Russia, drawing from Daniel 7’s vision of end-times empires. Alaska’s strategic proximity to Russia has historically made it a flashpoint for both military tension and prophetic interpretation. Grace’s message suggests that events in the coming weeks could have ripple effects on global alliances, particularly in relation to Iran and China.

She also stressed that this is not a time for fear, but for believers to be anchored in God’s Word and ready for spiritual battle. “Pray, be in prayer,” she said. “Pray for what’s about to happen with this meeting and continue to be in the Word of God every single day. Keep the faith, armor up.”

With the summit only a few days away, the eyes of both the political world and the prophetic community will be on Alaska. Whether the meeting will serve as a bridge for peace or a catalyst for greater division remains to be seen.

Trump Admin Launches $93 Million Effort Against Child Hunger Overseas

The Trump administration announced a $93 million food aid initiative targeting child malnutrition in Haiti and 12 African nations. Nearly one million children are set to receive ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) produced by American manufacturers, with distribution handled by UNICEF through June.

The State Department confirmed that the program will provide large-scale emergency nutrition to some of the most vulnerable populations in the world. The $93 million will be used to purchase and distribute RUTF, a peanut-based paste fortified with vitamins and minerals, which is considered the most effective treatment for severe acute malnutrition.

Spokesperson Tommy Pigott emphasized that this effort reflects the administration’s commitment to humanitarian relief and stability in regions facing both food shortages and political unrest. By sourcing the product from American manufacturers, the initiative also ensures that U.S. agricultural and food production sectors benefit from the expenditure, reinforcing the domestic economy while serving a global need.

The list of recipient nations includes Haiti, Mali, Niger, Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Nigeria, Madagascar, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Kenya and Chad. These countries were chosen based on the severity of their malnutrition crises, compounded by conflict, drought, and instability.

In Haiti, the program aligns with other U.S. efforts to stabilize the country, even as the administration maintains stricter immigration policies, such as visa revocations and deportations for those entering the U.S. illegally.

The Africa-focused aid also reflects an ongoing push to address root causes of migration by improving conditions in nations where poverty and insecurity drive people to leave.

Lakewood Church, Ministry Leaders Celebrate Dodie Osteen’s Life

This weekend, the Osteen family and Lakewood Church remembered the profound life of Dodie Osteen and the impact she had on the world around her for the Kingdom of God.

Bishop T.D. Jakes sent in condolences to the family, stating, “This is one of those bittersweet moments, the kinds of moments where words fail us…the church feels like we have lost a mother in Zion.”

Pastor Jentezen Franklin recounted how Dodie Osteen prayed over his daughter when she was a baby in need of a miracle. Osteen knew nothing about his daughter or her desperate need for her kidney to be supernaturally repaired. In fact, Franklin notes that they didn’t even know the Osteens when he and his wife encountered Dodie.

“She held the child up, and she prayed,” Franklin remembers. Going back to the doctor after Osteen’s prayer, Franklin recounts the supernatural happening. “And they took the x-ray, and it was as though a balloon was blown on up, and the kidney was healed.”

Lisa Osteen Comes also focused on her mother’s compassionate heart: “She loved Jesus with all her heart. She loved people…she never met a stranger.”

Dodie’s immense care for others was also lifted up by her son, Paul Osteen. “She had the ability to make you feel like you were the most important person on the planet, and that God only had good plans for your life.”

Speaking on the importance of having a relationship with Jesus, Lakewood’s lead pastor, Joel Osteen invited Pastor John Hagee to close out the celebration in a time of powerful prayer and recognition of Dodie’s accomplishments.

“Dodie has heard the voice of God the Father saying, ‘Well done thou good and faithful servant,'” Hagee said.

Dodie Osteen’s life was a testament to unwavering faith, selfless love, and a deep commitment to sharing the hope of the gospel. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched, the prayers she prayed, and the example she set of walking closely with God. As Lakewood Church and believers around the world honor her memory, her influence continues to inspire others to live with the same compassion, bold faith and dedication to advancing God’s kingdom.

Signs of the End? AI Pretends to Be Jesus, Scamming Christians for Money

End times deception isn’t a far-off, distant concept. It is here, leading masses away from the truth of Scripture.

In a recent article by Study Finds, the number of AI-generated programs that are claiming to be Jesus are only continuing to grow. As Study Finds noted, these artificial intelligent impersonators of Jesus are chatbots that are acting as though they are “…the Son of God, offering spiritual guidance, answering prayers and even taking confessions from believers.”

How scary is that?

Some of the AI bots that they looked at rom professor Anné H. Verhoef study included Virtual Jesus, AI Jesus, Ask Jesus, Jesus AI and Text with Jesus. These growing platforms have not been introduced to the public through churches or Christian organizations, but rather from for profit businesses. However, what is of the greatest concern are the findings that these chatbots have the ability through algorithms to become “the most popular theology” instead of one “which is based on the Bible.”

This means that an AI Jesus could ultimately try to lead and guide people down an improper path that they believe is the correct one. End times deception is not some distant future event—it is happening now, actively drawing many away from the true gospel of Jesus Christ. The rise of AI entities claiming to be Jesus highlights a growing spiritual danger, as these counterfeit voices may mislead believers with false teachings that sound appealing but stray from biblical truth.

As followers of Christ, we must rely on the Holy Spirit and Scripture to recognize and reject these deceptions, standing firm in the truth that Jesus alone is the way, the truth and the life (Jn. 14:6).

Your Car Is Spying on You, Automobiles Have Become a ‘Privacy Nightmare’

Modern automobiles are technological marvels offering many options for car buyers. Privacy is not one of them. New cars have become spies on wheels.

Automobiles today are giant rolling sensors, from the tires to the entertainment system, tracking not only your driving habits but recording personal information about you, completely unrelated to driving.

Experts call them a “privacy nightmare.”

New cars can collect more data about you than anything else you own, including your cell phone, and for good reason. Driver data has been valued at $400 billion.

“The saying in Silicon Valley is, ‘If you’re not paying for the product, you’re the product.’ But what’s strange with cars is that the average new car costs almost $50,000. You’re still the product,” says Andrea Amico, founder and CEO of Privacy4Cars, one of the nation’s top experts on auto data collection.

Amico says, “If you ask Americans how they feel about their car, they’ll tell you they’re an extension of their home. They feel it’s a very private place.”

In fact, your car is far from private. A study by Mozilla’s ‘Privacy Not Included’ project found cars to be the worst product for privacy they’ve ever tested.

The fine print on Nissan’s privacy statement from 2023 says it may collect “Sensitive personal information, including…citizenship status, immigration status, race, national origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, sexual activity…health diagnosis data, and genetic information.”

After an uproar, the company’s most recent privacy statement omits the collection of “sexual” and “genetic” information.

Security and privacy expert Thorin Klosowski at the Electronic Frontier Foundation says it’s not clear if it was just lawyerly fine print. “It’s kind of hard to say if they’re actually collecting anything or if they’ve just written it so that they could theoretically collect something,” Klosowski said.

Ray Comfort: Why the Sinner’s Prayer Is Not Biblical

Evangelism has never been easy, but for many Christians, the thought of openly sharing their faith can be downright intimidating. While some may picture street preachers with megaphones or door-to-door visits, veteran evangelist Ray Comfort believes the heart of evangelism isn’t about theatrics, it’s about genuine compassion, urgency, and a willingness to speak the truth no matter the cultural climate.

In a recent interview with Billy Hallowell of CBN, Comfort, founder of Living Waters and author of 50 Years of Open Air Preaching, shared his perspective on the moral state of the world, the state of the church, and why he believes the widely used “sinner’s prayer” misses the biblical mark. “I’m hoping things will get better,” he said, “I’m hoping we’ll get politicians that stand for righteousness, I’m hoping that abortion would be illegal, a slaughter of babies in the womb, what a horror beyond words, and the sexual perversion.”

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

Yet Comfort doesn’t believe society is trending in that direction. Citing Scripture, he warned, “In the last days evil men will become worse and worse, and so we need to prepare ourselves… for a dark time and say, God give me courage.”

Comfort says the moral decline is undeniable. “Fifty years ago we didn’t have what we’ve got now,” he reflected. “You didn’t lock your cars in America or lock your doors. Women weren’t murdered when they’d go for a walk around the block or a jog on a track. Things are getting worse and worse and darker and darker.” But rather than despair, he sees an opportunity for believers: “The darker it is, the more my light is going to shine. And if God be for us, nothing can be against us.”

Pre-order Jonathan Cahn’s Newest Book, “The Avatar” on Amazon.com!

One of Comfort’s deepest concerns is that the church has grown hesitant to speak plainly about eternal realities. “Hell is very real, and it seems the church has forgotten that,” he said. “If you’re fearful to share the gospel with unsaved people, don’t pray for less fear, pray for more love, because that’s the problem.”

When it comes to leading people to Christ, Comfort is clear about what he won’t do. “I am not a big believer in the sinner’s prayer, in fact, it’s unbiblical, it’s not in Scripture,” he said. He noted that even in biblical examples of repentance, no one was led in a repeated prayer.

Instead, he likened true repentance to heartfelt sorrow. “If a man’s committed adultery against his wife and he’s willing to go back and apologize, I don’t need to go to the door and say, ‘Your husband’s here to apologize, here he goes, you ready?’ and then feed him the words. She’s going to slam the door… she wants sorrow to spill from the heart.”

For Comfort, the aim is to guide people toward that kind of genuine response to God. “If someone’s ready to repent, I say, ‘Are you sorry for your sins?’ and they say yes, I say, ‘Let me pray for you.’ And I pray that God would open their heart, that they understand the cross and find a place of genuine repentance and this day be born again.” He stresses that salvation is never in human hands. “I’ve never saved anybody, it’s God that saves. All I do is plant the seed, others water, but God causes the increase.”

Join Charisma Magazine Online to follow everything the Holy Spirit is doing around the world!

Even after 50 years of open-air preaching, Comfort’s message is the same: the gospel is the only cure for the moral and spiritual crisis facing the world. “The gospel will take a human heart that is so selfish it’ll kill a baby in the womb to where it will nurture a child, the same person,” he said. “The gospel makes us new creatures in Christ that long to do the will of God.”

Will the Supreme Court Revisit Its Landmark Same-Sex Marriage Decision?

Ten years after the U.S. Supreme Court redefined marriage to include same-sex couples nationwide, former Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis is asking the justices to reverse the 2015 ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, calling it “egregiously wrong.”

Davis, who spent six days in jail in 2015 for refusing to issue marriage licenses to a gay couple on religious grounds, is appealing a $100,000 jury verdict for emotional damages and an additional $260,000 in attorney’s fees. Her legal team argues that the First Amendment’s guarantee of free exercise of religion protects her from personal liability.

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

In a petition for review, Davis’ attorney Mathew Staver wrote, “The mistake must be corrected,” calling Justice Anthony Kennedy’s majority opinion in Obergefell “legal fiction.” He stressed the significance of the case, stating, “If there ever was a case of exceptional importance, the first individual in the Republic’s history who was jailed for following her religious convictions regarding the historic definition of marriage, this should be it.”

The appeal is seen as the first direct request to overturn Obergefell since it was decided. At that time, 35 states had constitutional or statutory bans on same-sex marriage, while only eight had laws explicitly permitting it. Since the ruling, many Christians and conservative legal advocates have warned that the decision undermines both the biblical definition of marriage, one man and one woman, and the right to live out faith in the public square.

A Renewed Legal and Cultural Push

Davis’ petition comes amid a broader movement in several states to challenge Obergefell. ABC News reports that “at least nine states have either introduced legislation aimed at blocking new marriage licenses for LGBTQ people or passed resolutions urging the Supreme Court to reverse Obergefell at the earliest opportunity.” In June, the Southern Baptist Convention, the nation’s largest Protestant denomination, voted to make “overturning of laws and court rulings, including Obergefell v. Hodges, that defy God’s design for marriage and family” a top priority.

Her case also draws parallels to the court’s 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade. Davis’ petition cites Justice Clarence Thomas’ concurrence in Dobbs, in which he wrote that the court “should reconsider all of this Court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell.”

What Happens Next

The Supreme Court is expected to consider Davis’ petition in a private conference this fall, deciding whether to take the case. If accepted, oral arguments would likely take place in spring 2026, with a decision by June. If the justices decline, the lower court ruling against Davis would stand, and the challenge to Obergefell would end for now.

While most legal experts view her chances as slim, Davis’ appeal is being closely watched by Christians who believe marriage is defined by God as a covenant between a man and a woman. Chief Justice John Roberts, who dissented in Obergefell, criticized the ruling as “an act of will, not legal judgment” with “no basis in the Constitution” and warned that it “creates serious questions about religious liberty,” words Davis invoked in her petition.

Join Charisma Magazine Online to follow everything the Holy Spirit is doing around the world!

For many Christians, the case is about more than legal precedent; it is about defending the freedom to live according to biblical convictions without fear of punishment. As Davis’ attorney argues, her stand was not motivated by hate, but by “following her religious convictions regarding the historic definition of marriage.”

Isaiah Saldivar Warns Matt Rife: ‘You Are Opening Yourself Up to Demonic Spirits’

The occult may appear to be entertainment to some, but those who understand the spiritual realm warn that it is anything but harmless. Objects linked to dark practices or rituals are believed to serve as open doors for destructive forces. These forces, once invited, can influence lives in ways that lead to turmoil, sickness, addiction or even death. Such dangers are often dismissed in popular culture, yet many maintain that the consequences are both real and severe.

Revivalist Isaiah Saldivar recently issued a public warning to comedian Matt Rife after the performer announced he had become the legal guardian of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s home, occult museum, and more than 750 haunted artifacts, including the infamous Annabelle doll. “This stuff is not a game. It’s not a joke. Do not get involved in this,” Saldivar said in a recent video.

“You are opening yourself up to demonic spirits”

Saldivar connected Rife’s purchase to the recent death of Dan Rivera, who had toured with the Annabelle doll before dying unexpectedly in his hotel room. “It wasn’t the doll that killed him. It’s the demonic spirits that he opens himself up to when you start touching and getting involved in these occult items,” he said.

Warning Rife directly, Saldivar explained, “When you open yourself up to this stuff, you are opening yourself up to demonic spirits. And you don’t know what will come in—spirits of addiction, murder, anger, rage, bitterness.” He added that such spirits seek to inhabit people, not just objects, and can bring devastating consequences.

“The world is hungry for the supernatural”

Saldivar noted that Rife’s acquisition reflects a larger cultural trend: “People are so hungry for the supernatural… but they go to the wrong sources. Instead of going to God and His power and His Spirit… you go to the dark side and you look for the supernatural.”

He also took issue with comments made by psychic medium Matt Fraser, who warned Rife about the Annabelle doll but described the spirits as “souls that have not transitioned.” Saldivar corrected this, saying, “They’re not souls. They’re demonic spirits… fallen angels that are looking for bodies to inhabit.”

A call to stop “playing with fire”

Addressing Rife and anyone dabbling in occult practices, Saldivar was blunt: “You are playing with fire when you start playing with these things and think it’s no big deal.” He urged viewers to get rid of any occult items in their possession, quoting Scripture’s command to “expose the works of darkness.”

“The spiritual realm is very real,” Saldivar continued, stressing that the Bible warns of unseen forces at work in the world and calls believers to resist them. “Stop today. Get rid of your witchcraft. Get rid of your occult items. This is dangerous, and it will destroy your life.”

Did the True Red Heifer Sacrifice Already Take Place?

After the declaration that all of the red heifers were disqualified from being used for ceremonial purposes, many have started wondering if last month’s event was the true red heifer sacrifice.

In a post on social media post circulating online, Byron Stinson, who brought the heifers from Texas to Israel, wrote that “This is the burning from July 1. It was not on the Mount of Olives and some Jewish leaders feel it does not pass all the requirements they support. But it was real and the first in 2000 years.”

He also noted that many will continue to disagree with one another about how the ceremony should be performed in regards to oral Torah traditions, but that this sacrificial burning should “be recognized as the first in over 2000 years.”

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

He also says that there will be more sacrifices to come, and that others will not agree these are the “right one.”

“Many will continue to question and fight against the ceremony. I just think the world needs to know. The ceremony went perfect. With a perfect priest. In a place outside of the camp. And in the opinion of those I respect, we used a perfect red heifer.”

With many pointing out that the ceremony should be performed on the Mount of Olives, Stinson later agreed that a sacrifice there would make perfect, logical sense.

“So I fully agree that the ashes used to purify the priests for building the Temple would be best obtained from the Mount of Olives ceremony,” Stinson writes.

He also noted that “…there are hopes of finding the previous ashes in archaeological digs. That would be even better! They could be mixed with Mount of Olives ashes.”

Perhaps the greatest piece of information that Stinson further provided was about additional heifers in Texas.

“And the good news is, we do have more pure heifers in Texas. So, in God’s time this will all happen. It is written. So it will happen.”

While debates continue over the details, timing and location of the red heifer sacrifice, one truth remains unchanged—God’s purposes are never hindered by human disagreement. As history and prophecy converge before our eyes, we can rest in the assurance that He is sovereign over every detail, and that His promises will come to pass exactly as He has spoken.
