The Bilderberg Group held its annual meeting April 9-12 as “world leaders and billionaires gathered…for the notoriously top-secret annual Bilderberg meeting,” according to a Daily Mail report. The event operated without transparency. “With no minutes recorded, press reports published or interviews given to the media, the infamous conference is shrouded in mystery.”
This gathering centered on the issues shaping the direction of the world.
Artificial intelligence, modern warfare and cryptocurrency dominated discussions. The report confirms leaders focused on “the future of AI and modern warfare to cryptocurrency,” placing these technologies at the core of global planning. These are the tools redefining how economies function and how conflicts are fought.
Military alignment also took center stage. One agenda item, the “Trans-Atlantic Defence-Industrial Relationship,” highlights the urgency surrounding NATO tensions and Western cooperation as global instability continues to rise.

The names in attendance reveal how concentrated this influence has become. Tech and corporate leaders like Alex Karp, Daniel Ek and Eric Schmidt were present. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte arrived amid ongoing alliance strain. From the U.S. orbit, figures such as Doug Burgum and Robert Lighthizer joined the discussions. Intelligence leadership was also represented by Blaise Metreweli.
The room brought together decision-makers who influence policy, technology and military direction in one place.
The future battlefield was another major focus. Eric Schmidt stated that “future wars are going to be defined by unmanned weapons,” pointing to a shift toward AI-driven systems and autonomous conflict. Military leaders and defense technology executives were present to advance that conversation.

The Daily Mail report notes that critics have long pointed to the group as “a basis for the creation of a secret government, or a mysterious new world order.” The structure of the meeting, the topics discussed and the level of influence represented all point in the same direction.
