Rare Discovery from Ancient Egypt Points to Exodus

The last year has brought with it a treasure trove of discoveries from the ancient world. From Jerusalem to Bahrain, antiquities continue to prove the Bible is a reliably accurate teller of ancient history.

Recently, a discovery in Egypt announced by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities revealed an ancient fort which is believed to be 3,200 years old, and which gives further confirmation as to who the reigning Pharaoh was when Moses led the Israelites out of bondage in the book of Exodus.

While the Bible does not specifically state who the monarch was that ruled of the Hebrews, historians widely believe it to be Rameses II.

The site, called Tell Al-Abquain, was an outpost used by the ancient Egyptians and is made up of “a series of mudbrick architectural units, including military barracks for soldiers and storage rooms for weapons, food, and provisions from the New Kingdom era.

“In addition to the barracks, numerous artifacts and personal items belonging to soldiers were unearthed. [The] artifacts provide insight into the daily lives, religious beliefs, and military activities of the fort’s occupants,” the statement continued.

“These [findings] include weapons used in battle, hunting tools, personal adornments and hygiene items, such as ivory kohl applicators, carnelian and faience beads, scarabs and protective amulets.”

One of these ancient weapons, a bronze sword in incredible condition for its age, bore the engraved symbol of Ramses II, giving credence to the his being the ruler during the time of Moses and the Exodus from Egypt.

Time and again, archaeological discoveries prove the Bible accurate and true, such as the continued renovation of the Pools at Siloam. Pray that as the world continues to see the accuracy of the Bible verified, hearts will soften to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and accept God’s Word as true and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Explaining Israel’s Pager Attack on Hezbollah

Can you imagine the level of physical and psychological trauma throughout Lebanon and parts of Syria this week as thousands of Hezbollah pagers exploded, leaving many Islamic militants injured, hundreds of them critically, and several of them dead? It sounded more like something out of a sci-fi movie than real life, especially at the scale on which it occurred.

Amid all the trauma and suffering, here’s what you need to know.

Hezbollah, which in Arabic means “The Party of God,” is a Shiite Muslim organization founded in 1982, inspired by the theocratic vision of Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini. It has always represented radical Islamic ideology and, in that regard, is no different than Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, ISIS or Hamas. Hezbollah shares the same goals as an Islamic State and has a deep hatred for both America and Israel.

In the words of Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, current leader of Hezbollah, a registered political party in Lebanon holding a fair amount of seats, “[Israel] is an aggressive, illegal and illegitimate entity, which has no future in our land. Its destination is manifested in our motto, ‘Death to Israel.'”

Funded by Iran, Hezbollah is based largely in Lebanon, where it has launched thousands of rockets and missiles into northern Israel for decades, including hundreds in recent weeks alone. According to estimates, Hezbollah currently has between 130,000-200,000 missiles, a staggering amount of weaponry. These deadly weapons are pointed straight at Israel and can reach virtually any location in the land.

Like Hamas, Hezbollah has no interest in a two-state solution but rather desires the complete elimination of Israel. Also like Hamas, the terrorist group embeds itself in civilian areas, making it more difficult for Israel to retaliate without inflicting civilian casualties. But its soldiers are said to be better trained than those of Hamas, and they are far more equipped militarily than Hamas soldiers.

The elders at Trinity Bible Church of Dallas regretfully announce that effective immediately, Steven J. Lawson has been removed indefinitely from all ministry activities at Trinity Bible Church of Dallas. Several days ago, the elders at Trinity Bible Church of Dallas were informed by Steve Lawson of an inappropriate relationship that he has had with a woman.

The statement says that the elders are going to be praying for Lawson during this time.

The elders have met with Steve and will continue to come alongside him and pray for him with the ultimate goal of his personal repentance. Steve will no longer be compensated by Trinity Bible Church of Dallas.

The church also wanted to reiterate the fact that all of us have fallen short of the glory of God.

In light of this, may we be reminded that we are ALL sinners, and Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners – and Christ remains Head of His Church, which is bigger than any fallen man. In fact, Jesus Christ will continue to lead His Church, including Trinity Bible Church here in Dallas, just like He has from the start of this work on January 5, 2018. Since that time, the elders have focused on the primacy of biblical exposition knit together by various men filling the pulpit each week. The Lord was building Trinity Bible Church of Dallas well before Steve became our Lead Preacher, and He will continue to build this church long after Steve Lawson, or any other man for that matter.

We would ask for your prayers for the elders, for our Body, and for Steve and his family. Let us always be mindful of the words of 1 Corinthians 10:12, “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.”

This is yet again another Dallas-area church this year that has been shaken up by scandal.

President of of the Israel Allies Foundation, Josh Reinstein discussed the importance of Christians standing with Israel and the Jewish people.

“When Christians stand with Israel and the Jewish people, it’s not merely an act of faith; it’s a profound commitment to justice and our shared Judeo-Christian values,” Reinstein stated. “Faith-based diplomacy is responsible for around 80 percent of Israel’s diplomatic successes today.

As Christians, we must remember the Abrahamic blessing that is upon the nation of Israel and it’s people. God has chosen them and set them a part as a people of his own. He will bless those who bless them, and curse those who curse them. Let’s continue to pray and support Israel, especially in these turbulent times.

City Demands Pastor Remove ‘Jesus’ Sign from Church, Gets Epic Response

Freedom-loving Americans cannot help but bemoan the mounting authoritarianism of both federal and state officials.

As we discovered during the COVID era, however, sometimes Satan infects even our neighbors with the spirit of petty tyranny.

In a clip posted Tuesday to the social media platform X, Pastor Mark Driscoll of Trinity Church in Scottsdale, Arizona, told his congregation that a local government official had asked him to remove a “Jesus Christ ’24” sign from church property—a request to which Driscoll responded with firm defiance.

“We will not comply, but we will multiply,” the pastor wrote in a corresponding post.

Ironically, while preparing a part of his sermon that addressed civil obedience, Driscoll learned that very late in the afternoon on Friday a local government official had emailed the church to complain about the “Jesus Christ ’24” sign.

“This sign does not appear to be a political sign for a current candidate,” the email read. “If the sign does not meet certain requirements, it is subject to removal.”

Driscoll then delivered the first part of his reply to the official.

“I would just humbly submit, if you work for the government, before you go around collecting signs, figure out how to close the border and take care of people before signs,” he said.

At that point, the pastor showed four pictures of the property around his church littered with political signs.

“As far as I know, it’s still America,” he said.

After a brief history lesson that recalled the founding of Scottsdale in 1888 by a Bible-teaching Christian, Driscoll explained what he meant by “Vote Like Jesus,” the title of his new book.

“As you’re choosing your political leader, make sure you choose your eternal Savior,” the pastor said.

Then came the defiant part of Driscoll’s reply.

“If a lot of people are seeing [the sign], that’s great. We’re gonna keep it up,” he said.

“So, to the lovely government bureaucrats that send emails: We love you, we forgive you, we bless you, we thank you, we will not comply, we will multiply.”

Driscoll then announced that he had asked a sign company to make a similar sign for everyone in the congregation.

Earlier in the sermon, Driscoll indicated that the church had received the email on Friday afternoon at 4:59 and 26 seconds—34 seconds before the end of the work week.

One hopes, of course, that the email’s timing meant that the local government official felt embarrassed to send it.

More likely, however, a petty local tyrant derived a cheap thrill from trying to bully Driscoll into removing the sign.

When that happens to any of us—that is, when petty tyrants in our own neighborhoods mimic the diabolical authoritarians in federal and state governments—we must do as Driscoll did and refuse to comply.

UN Demands Israel to Withdraw to Pre-67 Borders Within a Year, Limiting Israel’s Ability to Fight Terrorism

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) overwhelmingly voted to adopt a nonbinding Palestinian resolution, calling on Israel to “end without delay unlawful presence in the occupied Palestinian territory” within a year or face consequences, including embargoes.

The resolution calls on Israel to withdraw from all territories seized after the 1967 Six-Day War, including East Jerusalem. Israel has consistently maintained that holding these territories is necessary for its defense and security.

UNGA’s resolution also called on member states to refrain from selling military equipment or weapons to Israel that could be used in Palestinian territories and called for a boycott of goods produced in Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria.

The resolution, the first proposed by the Palestinian delegation since being granted diplomatic privileges in May, was approved with 124 nations voting in favor, 14 against and 43 abstentions.

The 14 UN member states who voted against the UNGA motion are Argentina, the Czech Republic, Fiji, Hungary, Israel, Malawi, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Tonga, Tuvalu and the United States.

The 43 countries that abstained from the vote included nations that have recently moved toward withholding arms sales to Israel, including Australia, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Following the vote, Oren Marmorstein, the spokesman for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, posted a message to 𝕏 calling it “a distorted decision that is disconnected from reality, encourages terrorism and harms the chances for peace.”

In particular, Marmorstein slammed the resolution for ignoring the issue of Palestinian terrorism targeting Israeli civilians. The resolution makes no mention of the Hamas atrocities of October 7, or the ongoing Gaza War which resulted from that attack.

“The General Assembly decision bolsters and strengthens the Hamas terrorist organization and the Iranian terrorist state that stands behind it,” Marmorstein said.

“The resolution sends a message that terrorism pays off and yields international resolutions.”

Israel’s UN Ambassador Danny Danon called the vote “a shameful decision that backs the Palestinian Authority’s diplomatic terrorism.”

He condemned the world body for refusing to call for the release of the hostages.

Decisions of the UN General Assembly are not legally binding but are considered expressions of the opinions of world leaders.

Israel is widely expected to ignore the terms of the resolution; however, it previously threatened to halt all cooperation with the Palestinian Authority (PA) if the resolution was pursued.

Foreign Minister Israel Katz warned the PA that it would respond in kind based on the resolution’s wording.

“If the Palestinian Authority acts against Israel in complete contradiction to the commitments it undertook in the interim arrangements that were signed, Israel will act in the same way and stop all cooperation with the PA and bring about its dissolution,” Katz stated earlier this month.

Ex-Cop Battles Demons, Supernatural: ‘Worst Evil That You Can Imagine’

A former New York City police officer has transitioned from fighting crime on the streets to battling spiritual evil.

Chris DeFlorio, author of “Called Into Darkness: Two NYC First Responders Battle the Supernatural,” is using his investigative skills to help people who believe they’re facing demonic forces.

“I worked with the NYPD for 20 years, and, in that kind of work, you see the worst evil that you can imagine,” he said. “You’re seeing a lot that most people, thankfully … don’t have to see.”

The former cop recalled one night when he was still on the police force. He was called to the scene of a building where a woman was threatening to jump.

To pre-order Isaiah Saldivar’s new book, “How to Cast Out Demons,” visit Amazon.com.

As a brand new Christian, he was on fire for God, so when he saw the woman pacing back and forth with disheveled hair, he said, “Ma’am, God loves you, and this isn’t what He would want for you.’”

He said the woman chillingly turned to him in an otherworldly voice and said, “God doesn’t even know who you are.” DeFlorio immediately paused, stunned to observe both the voice and the jittery nature of the woman’s eyes — something he has now seen many times.

“When I started getting into this field and God, I believe, calling me into this, there’s something about the eyes,” he said. “There’s a blackness and an evil that, again, you really can’t describe unless you see it and I saw it in that woman’s eyes.”

Putin’s Warning: Russia at War with NATO if Ukraine Fires Long-Range Missiles

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s warning to NATO leaders that approval for Ukraine to use long-range Western-made missiles that could penetrate deep into Russia “would mean that NATO countries, the United States and European countries, are at war with Russia.”

When asked by reporters about the Putin threat, President Joe Biden essentially dismissed his warning, saying after a meeting Friday with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, “I don’t think much about Vladimir Putin.” Biden said he wanted to make clear that “Putin does not prevail in this war.”

Dmitri Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, asserted Saturday that a pending decision by the U.S. and NATO nations to approve Ukraine’s deployment of the missiles would possibly prompt Russia to use nuclear weapons, and he cautioned that Kyiv could be turned into a “gray melted spot.”

For much of this month, there have been indications that the U.S. and NATO might change the policy and allow Ukraine’s request to use the missiles. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken hinted at such a change on a visit to Kyiv earlier in September.

The head of NATO’s military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer from the Netherlands, indicated Saturday that Ukraine would be legally and militarily justified in launching the weapons.

“Every nation that is attacked has the right to defend itself. And that right doesn’t stop at the border of your own nation,” Bauer declared.

Still, the Biden administration has been slow to agree to the change, perhaps due to divisions within the White House.

The Associated Press reports that two unnamed U.S. officials said they believed one reason for the British prime minister’s visit to Washington was to seek Biden’s approval to allow Ukraine to use British Storm Shadow missiles for expanded strikes in Russia.
