A major internet outage affecting Microsoft is disrupting flights, banks, media outlets and companies across the world, with problems continuing hours after the technology company said it was gradually fixing an issue affecting access to Microsoft 365 apps and services.

Airlines and airports in the United States, Europe, Australia, India and elsewhere were reporting problems, with some flights grounded. Retail outlets, banks, railway companies and hospitals in several parts of the world were also affected in what appeared to be an unprecedented internet disruption.

In the U.S., the FAA said the airlines United, American, Delta and Allegiant had all been grounded.

The London Stock Exchange says it is experiencing disruptions from the technology outage that has created chaos around the globe.

The LSE says its regulatory news service was not working Friday morning but the outage had not affected trading.

“We are currently experiencing a third party technical issue which is impacting some of our services,” a London Stock Exchange Group spokesperson said in a statement.

The chief executive of the cybersecurity company at the heart of a worldwide Microsoft outage says it is working to fix a defect sent out in a Windows update.

“This is not a security incident or cyberattack,” CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz said on the social platform X. “The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed.”

Kurtz said there was a defect in a “single content update for Windows hosts.” Mac and Linux hosts were not affected.

A recording playing on CrowdStrike’s customer service line said, “CrowdStrike is aware of the reports of crashes on Microsoft ports related to the Falcon sensor.” It attributed the problems to one of its products used to block online attacks. It said callers should monitor its customer support portal.

The Republican National Convention re-convened Tuesday night with a focus on securing America’s borders and a show of party unity. Donald Trump’s former campaign rivals gave back-to-back speeches, urging Republicans to come together to beat Joe Biden.

“Let’s make the 45th president of the United States, the 47th president of the United States,” said Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) who dropped out of the race for the White House back in January.

DeSantis praised Trump’s record during his Tuesday night speech.

“Our border was safer under the Trump administration and our country was respected when Donald Trump was our Commander-in-Chief,” he said to the RNC crowd.

Trump’s strongest challenger and tough critic during the campaign, his former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, also pledged her support during a convention speech.

“You don’t have to agree with Trump 100 percent of the time to vote for him,” she said.

After endorsing Trump, Haley talked up his foreign policy record, making her strongest comments in support of the former president this election season.

“When Barack Obama was president, Vladimir Putin invaded Crimea. With Joe Biden as president, Putin invaded all of Ukraine. But when Donald Trump was president, Putin did nothing. No invasion. No invasions. No wars. That was no accident,” Haley said.

Former President Donald Trump was officially voted in as the Republican presidential nominee Wednesday, and he revealed who he has picked to be his vice presidential running mate.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump announced he has chosen J.D. Vance, the junior U.S. senator from Ohio.

“After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio,” the announcement states.

“J.D. honorably served our Country in the Marine Corps, graduated from Ohio State University in two years, Summa Cum Laude, and is a Yale Law School Graduate, where he was Editor of The Yale Law Journal and President of the Yale Law Veterans Association. J.D.’s book, Hillbilly Elegy, became a Major Best Seller and Movie, as it championed the hardworking men and women of our Country. J.D. has had a very successful business career in Technology and Finance, and now, during the Campaign, will be strongly focused on the people he fought so brilliantly for, the American Workers and Farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, and far beyond….”

The major announcement comes as Trump is in Milwaukee for the first day of the Republican National Convention. Happening almost simultaneously with his VP announcement, convention delegates also voted to make Trump the official Republican nominee for president.

Garrett Hinton, Chief Revenue Officer at the Museum of the Bible, says, “When somebody says worship to me, my mind immediately goes to the thing that we do at church on Sundays before the pastor gets up and gives the sermon. That’s worship and indeed, that is worship. But as the Bible talks about worship, it’s so much more than that. So the story is the story of the Bible, and it’s taking you from Creation or Genesis all the way to Revelation.”

Using the latest light detection and 3D laser technology, you can literally interact with the walls.

“Suddenly I’m a little kid again and I could go and create and paint on the walls at the beginning and at the end of this story,” Hinton explained.

The Museum of the Bible teamed up with a group called CREATR to feature some of Christian music’s biggest names for this project.

It is the who’s who that have come together to create this organization called CREATR, lending their voices to this before you go into the experience, really setting up the experience so that your heart and your mind is prepared to talk about worship and what it is and who deems it worthy,” Hinton said.

JERUSALEM, Israel – In a message to Former President Trump, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was shocked by the assassination attempt and sent prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery.

He cautioned the assassination attempt was much more than an assault on just one man.

“This wasn’t just an attack on Donald Trump. This was an attack on a candidate for the presidency of the United States. This was an attack on America. It was an attack on democracy, it was an attack on all the democracies,” Netanyahu declared.

During Sunday’s cabinet meeting, the ministers watched a video of people within Israel calling for the murder of public officials in general, and the prime minister in particular.

Noting that commentators in the U.S. pointed to previous expressions of violence against Trump before the shooting, Netanyahu explained that Israel is experiencing similar calls to incitement.     

He stated, “We are witnessing a flood of explicit threats of murder and violence against the prime minister and members of his family and against ministers and public officials. These are not just flagrant criminal offenses, they constitute a direct and explicit threat to democracy.”

The former fire chief who was killed at a Pennsylvania rally for Donald Trump spent his final moments diving in front of his family to protect them from gunfire that rang out Saturday during an assassination attempt against the former president.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro confirmed Sunday that Corey Comperatore, 50, had died a “hero,” using his body as a shield to protect both his wife and daughter from the bullets.

“His wife shared with me that he dove on his family to protect them,” Shapiro said.

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden extended their “deepest condolences” to Comperatore’s family.

“He was a father. He was protecting his family from the bullets that were being fired and he lost his life, God love him. We’re also praying for the full recovery of those who were injured,” Biden said.

At least two other people were injured during the attempt to kill Trump at Saturday’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Those two have been identified as David Dutch, 57, of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and James Copenhaver, 74, of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, according to the Pennsylvania State Police. Both were listed in stable condition as of Sunday.

A powerful prayer movement is springing to life in America’s heartland. People across Tennessee are engaged in 31 days of prayer and fasting after state officials approved a resolution to “seek God’s hand of mercy and healing” throughout the month of July.

After state lawmakers passed House Joint Resolution 803, Governor Bill Lee signed the resolution which calls on citizens of the Volunteer State to pray and fast as they are able. State Representative Monty Fritts was the author of the measure.

“We recognize that God, as Creator and King of all Glory, has both the authority to judge and to bless nations or states,” the resolution declares.

The resolution points to the need for prayer by highlighting crises plaguing the state and nation including violent crime, human trafficking, drug addiction, the fentanyl crisis, children in foster care, and government corruption.

Christians across the state have been praying, while pastors and even public officials are leading believers to seek God together. WBBJ reports about one event in which Madison County Mayor AJ Masey, Rep. Chris Todd, several county commissioners, city council members, law enforcement, and school board members publicly gathered to pray together.

Pastor Garry Martin of Jackson First Assembly was among them, stating, “Everything that we’re doing in our country is not changing anything. And they (lawmakers) realize that the one element that’s missing is the presence of God in our relationships, in our meetings, and across America.”

The resolution has even prompted calls for prayer and fasting in other states too.

California Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills called upon “every pastor” and “every Christian church” in the nation to join with Tennessee and intercede for America and all the states. “Let’s all be Tennesseans this month of July and pray and fast as the Lord leads,” stated Pastor Hibbs.

An emotional support dog recently went above and beyond her regular call of duty, rescuing her entire family from deadly danger.

Samantha Griffin of Marion, Indiana, adopted Luna six months ago to help her cope with PTSD. Luna would go on to do much more than that.

The two-year-old Husky stopped Samantha from going to sleep last month when she felt a migraine coming on.

Samantha sensed something was wrong and took her family outside before the carbon monoxide detector went off.

“If she hadn’t gotten me outside, I would have fallen asleep in here, like completely fallen asleep, and probably wouldn’t have woke up,” Samantha told WRTV.

“I grabbed all the kids that were in the house and called maintenance, the fire department and (they) found very, very high levels of carbon monoxide,” Samantha said.

On the eve of America’s birthday, actor Kirk Cameron announced he has fled California for Tennessee.

The “Growing Pains” star said his decision to abandon the West Coast was sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and solidified by the political and cultural disunity present across the Golden State.

“It’s pretty clear that California has been moving in a particular direction for a long time,” he told the Washington Examiner.

Cameron, 53, also took to his Facebook account last week to talk about his move to the Volunteer State.

He joked that the policies in California are making state Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) the “U-Haul employee of the year” as many are choosing to leave the Pacific Coast and head to other states.

Cameron said in a separate interview that he discovered Tennessee has become a haven for “a lot of California refugees,” including many “creatives” looking for a new place outside of Hollywood to establish community.
