Was the downfall of the Dow Jones foretold to God’s prophetic voices?

In an interview with Charisma Media, prophet Tomi Arayomi discussed the supernatural dream he had about the downfall of the Dow Jones before it took place.

“On July 24, I was woken up at 7:18 a.m., and I saw this vision of men in…you call it Wall Street,” Arayomi said. And they were yelling ‘the Dow Jones; what happened to the Dow Jones?’ And it was as if overnight a thief had broken in and stolen, and all of a sudden I saw the Dow begin to plummet.”

Arayomi shared that after he decided to share about this dream publicly, he saw shortly after that the notifications on his phone began to buzz with the panic that the stock market was plummeting.

Arayomi brought up the fact that we are now in a time of judgement so that we can understand what true, godly righteousness means.

“When we see judgement, it forces us back into, ‘oh my goodness, we got to get back into alignment with God.’ So, even in God’s judgement there’s a purpose to it,” Arayomi said.

Arayomi further believes this is a time when darkness is approaching, and it is the job of Christians to prepare and to expectantly seek and wait upon the Lord. Just as darkness fell upon Egypt but did not harm the Israelites, Arayomi believes that we took can be protected and trust in the Lord’s goodness and presence during this time.

“Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt [for] three days,” Arayomi said. “But all the children of Israel have light in their dwellings.”

“I believe that it’s a prophetic hour to build Goshen. They were in Goshen at that time. What is Goshen? Goshen is a place—supernatural—the mix of supernatural supply and biblical wisdom. Parents in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District in California were outraged after learning that fun, overnight field trips for their children may also be intertwined with a warped agenda.

The Daily Signal reported how students in this school district may have to either skip overnight field trips or potentially be placed in a situation where they have to share a room with a child of the opposite sex if they identify as transgender.

The Daily Signal was shown emails from the Center for American Liberty from 2021 and 2022 which talked about children’s room assignments for overnight field trips as something that parents could not try to change.

In these emails, Sarah Coley from the district wrote, “…if a parent says, ‘hey, I don’t want my student with [who],’ you could provide an ear to listen and consider whether the student is a good fit, but the event response would be, ‘If you/ your student is not comfortable with the rooming assignments and process of staying with other students in a room, then they can elect not to participate in this optional trip.”

Coley further compared issues with transgender students to be the same as dealing with race or religious differences in the classroom.

In a world that is desiring to indoctrinate children, even if that means putting them in harm’s way, we need to pray for the Holy Spirit to protect and guide children, and that the hearts of those who are placing them in this direct harm would be changed through the power of the gospel.

Jonathan Cahn is pulling back the mystery of the veiled bride in one of his profound messages.

Hundreds of years before the birth of Christ, the prophet Isaiah spoke about His coming and how He would be Emmanuel, the Prince of Peace. It is this prophecy that connects us to the coming of the King that the world had been waiting on for centuries.

“Isaiah 7 all the way to Isaiah 11 is called the Emmanuel section because it’s talking ultimately about a child who will be born and who will be Messiah,” Cahn says.

“Many Scriptures have double meaning, or more than one meaning. And prophecies often have an immediate fulfillment and an ultimate fulfillment,” Cahn continues.

As Cahn points out, this part of Scripture isn’t just about what would happen in the immediate context of when it was spoken, but of the greater foreshadowing of Christ’s coming to be with us and dwell among us.

Cahn also discusses how young Hebrew women would be veiled until the time of their wedding. It is this veiling that relates directly back to the purpose of Jesus’ mother being a virgin and the greater symbolism of purity and unity with God.

“It is according to the mystery of the Hebrew marriage,” Cahn says, “The bridegroom has to leave his house and go to the house of the alma, the maiden, the young woman who will be known to the world as the Virgin Mary.”

He further points out how word “alma” comes from a Hebrew root word that means to hide or veil yourself. The point of this shows that a woman kept herself separated from a man until she was married. However, in the case of Mary, it was in this state of being an “alma” when Christ was conceived in her by the Holy Spirit.

“Joseph doesn’t understand what’s going on, and we can’t blame him. There’s something deeper going on. He wouldn’t know it, and he’s not understanding even though it says in the Bible that the virgin shall conceive; he’s not thinking it’s her,” Cahn says. “It’s all going to come to it’s ultimate fulfillment.”

While the story of Mary, Joseph and Jesus’ entrance into the world is divine, it also foreshadows the even bigger point that God acts as the bridegroom and God’s people are the bride. Like a marriage, the covenant God has made between Him and His people is forever.

While veiling has a purpose of keeping something pure, veiling in a fallen world can also signify the separation that sin has put between us and God.

“All creation was made to be joined to God, but it’s all become veiled to God and separated from God and hidden from God,” Cahn says.

“It wasn’t God who separated Himself from man, it was man who separated himself from God. And what happened? Man hid himself, became hidden, covered himself up.”

Cahn reminds us that when we seek God, we will find Him.

“He’s saying, ‘draw near to Me and I will draw near to you. Deep calls to deep,’” Cahn says. “The deepest part of your heart is longing to be filled by only the deepest part of My heart.”

Is America under a curse?

In a new warning message, Perry Stone revealed the curse that America is currently under.

“I was reading a verse of Scripture that leaped out at me,” Stone says. “…it relates to the condition that many of the people in the United States are in emotionally, mentally and spiritually.”

The first thing that Stone breaks down is that this curse is not one about profanity or some other worldly, surface idea of a curse, but it has to do with biblical obedience and disobedience.

“In the Old Testament, especially the book of Deuteronomy chapter 28 and also in Leviticus…there are verses that indicate that God was instructing Moses to give rules of heaven or rules from heaven on how His people should walk and live on earth,” says Stone.

“God said this, ‘if you are willing to do what I say, your life is going to be much better. Your spiritual walk will be deep. Your physical body will stay in health. However, if you refuse to follow me, I’m going to lift the hedge of blessing in favor and protection and you’re going to experience some very negative circumstances,’” he continues.

Stone points out how this concept became known as the “blessing and curse of the Law.” When Israel followed the Lord obediently, they experienced the blessings and fruitfulness that God had for them. However, when they walked away from the Lord, being disobedient to the commands He asked of them, they lost their favor with God.

Stone points out that when the people chose disobedience, it would follow with acts of terror, drought, a reduction in cattle and that the roadways would be desolate. Division is also promised to come to a nation that has fallen away from the Lord’s good and perfect path. These are all issues that America has faced at one point in time over the past 15 years.

So, if America, which was founded on the principles of Christianity, turns its back on God, then what kind of curse would we likely experience?

“Deuteronomy 28:28, He says now, ‘if you abhor My commandments, if you mock My covenant, if you disobey Me and you go into rebellion, here’s what’s going to happen,’” says Stone. “The Lord will smite you with madness, blindness and astonishment.”

This warning not for an individual but for an entire nation of madness, astonishment and blindness is one we must heed today. These are the types of traits that lead us out of peace and wisdom and toward deception and the feelings of anger and bitterness. It is this type of madness that leads us to become reactive and furious.

“I looked at the word ‘madness,’ and it means in Hebrew ‘craziness, irrational behavior, being furious in anger,’” Stone says.

Stone points out this madness is noticeable in the attacks against Christians, with allowing men to compete in women’s sports and irrational, divisive arguments. It is living in this emotionally-driven nature that the Pharisees were accustomed to, and it is this kind of madness we must be careful of.

“The Pharisees would go as far as to make up an outright lie about Jesus just so they could defend their belief system,” says Stone.

As America now faces issues and calamity on many sides, we are seeing the same issues that Israel dealt with come to fruition in our nation today.

“The things that God warned Israel of that would happen to them if they broke covenant are happening to us, and the reason is we know better,” he continues.

Just as Israel faced a breaking point, we too now face similar issues. This is the time that the people of God must intercede for our land and pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Olympic Skateboarder Cordano Russell may only be nineteen-years-old, but he’s still giving the Lord all the praise and glory for his athletic career.

While Russell didn’t place during the Olympics, he was outspoken about his faith during his time in Paris.

On Instagram, a clip was shared of Russell professing his faith.

On the Olympics website, the Canadian athlete shared how his faith has impacted skateboarding career.

“I definitely thank the Lord for skateboarding because it’s truly amazing,” Russell says.

However, Russell first and foremost seeks his identity through his relationship with God.

“I know where my true identity is, and that is in the Lord,” he says. “So, I wanted to use my time, talents and treasures and ultimately be able to inspire others through that, through my faith, through who I am.”

Even though Russell didn’t take a medal during this year’s Olympics, he has his sights set on 2028.

On Instagram, Russell thanked God for the adventure he had in Paris.

A former Miss USA is advising pageant competitors against taking the crown.

Recently, the Miss USA organization has been dealing with issues after both Miss USA and Teen Miss USA stepped down from their titleholder duties.

As Fox News reported, Miss USA Noelia Voigt and UmaSofia Srivastava, Miss Teen USA, both walked away from their crowns in May. This led to first-runner up, Savannah Gankiewicz of Hawaii, to take over as Miss USA for the remainder of the pageant year.

Voigt left the pageant for her “mental health,” while Srivastava took to Instagram to share her reasoning for exiting the Miss Teen USA world.

“After months of grappling with this decision, I have made the choice to resign from the title of Miss Teen USA 2023,” Srivastava wrote. “After careful consideration, I’ve decided to resign as I find that my personal values no longer fully align with the direction of the organization.”

When Voigt first won the title of Miss USA, she gave praise to God on Instagram.

“First and foremost, I thank God for all of the trials and tribulations that led me to this enormous blessing. I prayed so hard that His will be done and that I feel peace, confidence, and faith,” Voigt wrote.

However, since then, Voigt released a statement discussing how this dream-come-true wasn’t everything she hoped it would be. Voigt’s statement claimed that there was a “toxic work environment within the Miss USA organization that, at best, is poor management and, at worst, is bullying and harassment.” She also made allegations of sexual harassment at a Christmas parade as well.  

When Voigt resigned from the title of Miss USA, first-runner up, Savannah Gankiewicz, says that she spoke to her, which led Voigt to try to stop her from assuming the duties of becoming Miss USA.

“She was basically saying, ‘Don’t. I can’t tell you what to do, but don’t do it because you’ll sign your soul to the devil,” Gankiewicz said to Fox News digital.

Gankiewicz was surprised to hear of such a serious allegation against the pageant system and asked for more details. However, Voigt said because she signed an NDA, she couldn’t discuss them.

Gankiewicz ended up proceeding with taking the title, which led Voigt to unfollow and block her from her social media pages. Gankiewicz said that Srivastava also encouraged her not to take the crown. However, Gankiewicz says that her experience as Miss USA was a positive one.

“Miss USA, it’s an organization that uplifts and empowers women and gives you the necessary tools to achieve greatness in this life,” Gankiewicz said. “…it is sad when I see other people bash an organization where all it is trying to do is empower people and make women feel beautiful from within.”

Are we now living in a world where terms like mom, dad, mother and father are disappearing?

We might, because there is now a Massachusetts bill which would quite literally redefine what it means to be a parent.

As Fox News reported, The Massachusetts Parentage Act is seeking to do away with terms like “mother” and “father” on children’s birth certificates.

Not only does this bill do away with these terms, but it goes even further to dilute other parental terms, such as marital status.

The term “children born out of wedlock” is to be substituted for “nonmarital children and parentage of children.”

The H1713 bill starts off by stating, “It is the public policy of the Commonwealth that every child has the same rights and protections under law as any other child without regard to the martial status, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation of the parents or the parents of the circumstances of the birth of the child, including whether the child was born as a result of assisted reproduction or surrogacy.”

Instead of saying “mother,” the bill refers to a female as “parent who gave birth.” Men and fathers are referred to as “parent of any gender,” and later “putative father” is now “alleged genetic parent.” Husbands and wives are further generalized as “spouses.”

These descriptions of mothers and fathers and husbands and wives essentially take away any special meaning designated to a man and a woman about having a special role in a child’s life. For the sake of a few who do not wish to be referred to by these titles, it is taking away what is a high calling for the rest who look forward to being a child’s parent.

Health studies are now confirming the importance of the biblical principle of joy.

Negative events hit life each and every day, which can make it difficult to put a smile on anyone’s face. However, studies are now proving that the simple joy of laughter can make a major difference in a person’s overall health and wellness.

The Telegraph reported how Yamagata University in Japan found that laughing can decrease the issue of heart disease, providing the potential for a longer life. In fact, since the findings came out by the university, the Yamagata prefecture passed a law that all people who live in the area must laugh at least one time per day.

Over and over again Scripture speaks to us about the principle of joy that can be found in a relationship with God. Even King David who spent ample amount of time crying out the Lord also took the opportunity to sing praises and dance before the Lord.

Second Samuel 6:14-15 tells us, “David danced before the LORD with all of his might, and he wore a linen ephod. So David and the whole house of Israel escorted the ark of the LORD with shouting and the sound of the horn.”

Laughter and joy rooted in God is something He commands us to do. While it’s easy to stay focused on the stressors of life, staying focused on the joy is much more meaningful.

Matthew 6:27 reminds us that we cannot gain extra time here on this earth by worrying about tomorrow.

“Which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? (ESV)”

Does it ever feel sometimes like you’re all alone?

Pastor and best-selling author, Max Lucado shared in an interview with Charisma Media how today’s world can be a lonely, cold place for many, especially children. However, It is by knowing Jesus in a deep and meaningful way that we can help combat this epidemic for ourselves as adults, and for children alike.

“The challenge of parenting today is more intense than it was when I was raising my daughters,” Lucado says. “There’s a unique set of circumstances that are making it difficult for parents to parent, as well as children to grow up with a sense of peace about them.”

Lucado has been writing children’s books for 25 years now. However, unlike previous generations, he sees how the topic of loneliness must be addressed to children and parents now more than ever.

“There are statistics that are just mind-boggling right now,” Lucado says. “I read one the other day that showed young people born since 1996 are facing unprecedented levels of anxiety and loneliness and depression.”

Lucado points out that in our technology, social media-driven age, children and young adults are having less in-person contact with others. However, phones and laptops are not substitutes for being around other people.

“…the result is we have a population of just lonely kids,” says Lucado. “One of the things that we parents, we grandparents, we aunts and uncles, big sister, big brother, what we need to do is to articulate for our children this promise that though you feel alone, you’re not alone.”

Lucado points out that parents need to speak the truth of God’s Word over their children so that they can experience true freedom.

“Jesus said, ‘You shall know the truth and then the truth shall set you free.’ But you’ve got to know the truth first,” Lucado says.

It is expected that all of us will experience loneliness at some point in time. We all will feel inadequate, seeking after the approval of others. Lucado admits that’s something he even struggles with from time to time. However, it is by seeing that God is with us at all times that we can find fulfillment.

“He revealed to me that I still continue to base my confidence upon the applause and approval of people, which is disastrous because you cannot control the applause and approval of people. So, I needed that reminder and I confessed it to Jesus, and the next day, I was fine. I was back to normal…it was a wonderful gift on His part,” says Lucado.

Both parents and kids need to know that we cannot draw true love and joy from a phone screen or even the approval of others. All these efforts will waste away, and it is only by coming into a true relationship with Christ that loneliness and depression can be torn down.

While much controversy has surrounded around the opening ceremony of the Olympics, Christian athletes competing this year are praising God for all that He’s doing through them.

Olympic swimmer Hunter Armstrong, who just took gold in the men’s 4 x 100-meter freestyle relay, told the Baptist Press that God will always be the greatest priority in his life.

“As we grow, we have to make sure we have our priorities in line. I keep God as a priority. I can’t really live without him. I can live without swimming or being an Olympian or any of that stuff,” he told the outlet.

Armstrong recognizes that God uses both the mountains and the valleys of our lives to bring about His plans and purposes. After experiencing a painful break-up with a woman he planned to marry and the death of his grandfather, Armstrong sees how it is God alone that we cannot live without.

“The biggest catalyst for change in life tends to be pain,” he said. “Sometimes God will put you in a position where you have no other choice than to turn to Him.”

Brazilian skateboarder Rayssa Leal also used her bronze medal win to glorify the Lord.

The Christian Post shared a tweet that featured the 16-year-old athlete who used sign language to reference John 14:6, that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

Hezly Rivera of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team also thanked God for her big win on Instagram.

Rivera also referenced Isaiah 40:31 which reads, “But those who wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.”
