1,800-Year-Old Image of Jesus Found in Ancient Tomb

A stunning discovery from the heart of ancient Christianity is drawing worldwide attention after archaeologists uncovered a remarkably preserved image of Jesus in what was once the city of Nicaea.

According to reports from The Christian Post, researchers excavating an ancient burial site near the modern Turkish city of Iznik, Turkey, uncovered a third-century fresco depicting Christ as the Good Shepherd. Experts believe the artwork is among the earliest known depictions of Jesus and one of the best-preserved examples from Christianity’s earliest centuries.

The fresco was found inside a family tomb within the Hisardere necropolis, an ancient cemetery dating back to the Roman era. Hidden within the sealed burial chamber, the artwork remained protected from the elements for centuries, allowing its colors and intricate details to survive far longer than researchers typically find.

The image portrays Jesus carrying a sheep across His shoulders, a powerful symbol rooted in Scripture. Unlike many familiar artistic representations that emerged centuries later, this depiction presents Christ as youthful and clean-shaven, clothed in garments consistent with the Roman world of the time.

The discovery offers a fascinating glimpse into how some of the earliest believers visualized Christ long before the iconic portrayals that would later become commonplace throughout Christian history.

In John 10:11, Jesus declared, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” During an era when followers of Christ often faced persecution and uncertainty, the shepherd symbolized protection, guidance and sacrificial love.

Researchers believe the fresco dates to the early-to-mid third century, decades before Christianity gained legal recognition within the Roman Empire. As a result, the discovery provides a rare look into the faith and worship practices of believers who lived before Christianity became a dominant force throughout the ancient world.

The location of the find adds another layer of historical significance. Ancient Nicaea would later become the site of the First Council of Nicaea in A.D. 325, a gathering that helped establish foundational Christian doctrine and produced what would become known as the Nicene Creed.

Christian Post/Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry

Researchers also uncovered additional tombs, artwork and archaeological evidence throughout the site, helping piece together a broader picture of Christian life during a pivotal period in church history. These discoveries continue to reveal how believers lived, worshipped and expressed their faith amid the challenges of the Roman era.

Nearly 1,800 years after it was painted, the image still points to the same truth that has encouraged believers for years: Jesus is the Good Shepherd who leads, protects and cares for His flock. Though civilizations rise and fall, the message of the gospel continues to endure—preserved not only in stone and pigment, but in the hearts of those who follow Him.

What Kenneth Copeland Learned From Oral Roberts and Kenneth Hagin

For many believers, learning to recognize the voice of God can feel mysterious or even intimidating. But for longtime minister Kenneth Copeland, it began with something surprisingly simple: practice.

During a recent podcast conversation, Copeland responded to a question about discerning God’s voice from ordinary thoughts. He explained that learning to hear from the Lord required training himself to listen to what was happening in his spirit rather than simply reacting to thoughts in his mind.

Copeland described intentionally pausing and listening for the inward witness of the Holy Spirit, even in everyday decisions. Over time, he said, that sensitivity grew stronger and eventually became part of a prophetic ministry that he did not initially understand.

“I didn’t realize it at the time. It was the ministry of the prophet that was developing on the inside of me,” Copeland said.

That calling became clear in 1977 when the late Kenneth E. Hagin publicly prophesied over him. According to Copeland, Hagin told him, “Whether you want to or not, you’re going to walk in the office of the prophet, the seer.”

The conversation also included powerful testimonies of healing from Copeland’s ministry travels.

One story took place in Jamaica, where he encountered a woman who had become mentally tormented after being told that God no longer loved her because she had cut her hair. As he ministered to her, Copeland said he commanded the demonic oppression to leave and reminded her of God’s love.

“The Lord sent me to tell you how much He loves you,” Copeland recalled telling the woman. He said her eyes immediately cleared, and her life was restored.

Another testimony involved a young girl who appeared to have died from a severe heart condition. Copeland remembered hearing frantic cries that the child was dead. After rushing to the scene, he prayed repeatedly in Jesus’ name.

Finally, he said, the girl responded.

“I said, ‘In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk,'” Copeland recalled. Moments later, the girl spoke and eventually recovered, later becoming a schoolteacher.

Copeland also reflected on lessons he learned from Oral Roberts, one of the most influential figures in his spiritual development.

According to Copeland, Roberts gave him three principles for success in ministry and life: “Find out the will of God. Confer no longer with flesh and blood. Get your job done at all cost.”

Even after decades in ministry, Copeland says his daily routine remains centered on Scripture, prayer and faith in God’s promises. Each morning, he meditates on healing passages such as Isaiah 53 and Matthew 8, reminding himself of Christ’s finished work.

Copeland concluded the episode by leading listeners in a prayer of salvation and encouraging believers to receive the fullness of God’s Spirit.

For those seeking to hear God’s voice more clearly, this message was straightforward: learn to listen, stay grounded in Scripture and trust the Holy Spirit’s leading.

‘God’s Plan’: Spencer Pratt Will Take on Karen Bass in Los Angeles Mayor Showdown

Los Angeles may experience a great awakening.

Mayoral candidate for Los Angeles, Spencer Pratt, is giving God all the glory as he prepares to take on the city’s current mayor, Karen Bass.

“I didn’t know I’d be here tonight, but it’s obviously God’s plan, and I’m going to go all way, and I’m going to show everybody that I’m their mayor,” Pratt stated.

Pratt also explained that over the next five months, he will spend time prepping and doing his best to prove that the city is ready for change and that he is the perfect one to lead the charge.

To order Jonathan Cahn’s new book, The Altar of Pergamon, visit Amazon.com.

“The next five months, I’m going to have time to build out this team to show everybody the level of Democratic supporters that I have behind me, the heavy hitters that are in this group, that are all behind me,” Pratt stated.

He further made the point that he plans to be mayor not just for one type of person in Los Angeles, but for all the city’s people.

“This idea that I don’t represent Democrats and Republicans and Independents, anyone that’s just a Los Angeles citizen who wants basic quality of life, I’ll be able to show that in five months…I’m an Angelino who said ‘enough is enough,’ and I had to step up.”

As Los Angeles prepares for another pivotal election season, Pratt’s repeated acknowledgment of God’s hand in his journey has resonated with many who believe leadership is ultimately a matter of calling, not just ambition.

Scripture reminds us to pray for those in authority and for the cities in which we live (1 Tim. 2:1-2; Jer. 29:7). If spiritual renewal is to come to the City of Angels, it will begin not merely at the ballot box, but through hearts turned toward God and a people seeking His direction for the future.

‘This Stuff Isn’t Fulfilling Us’: Bryce Crawford Shares the Real Reason Gen Z Is Turning to Jesus

A surprising shift is taking place among Generation Z, and Christian influencer Bryce Crawford believes it points to a deeper spiritual hunger that many young people can no longer ignore.

Appearing on Fox News with Rachel Campos-Duffy, Crawford discussed new data showing that young men have now surpassed young women in saying religion is “very important” in their lives. For a generation often described as increasingly secular, the trend has sparked fresh conversations about faith, purpose and the search for truth.

Crawford, who has amassed millions of followers across social media platforms by sharing Christian content, believes many young adults are discovering firsthand that the world’s promises cannot satisfy the deepest needs of the human heart.

“I think, you know, people in general are on a search for truth, right? Everyone’s on a quest for love,” Crawford said.

According to Crawford, one factor driving this renewed interest in faith is the unprecedented access Gen Z has to temptation and distraction through technology.

“Because of sin and phones, Gen-Z’s been able to get sin in such large amounts in such short amount of time, and it’s kind of shown Gen-Z very quickly, oh wow, this stuff isn’t fulfilling us,” he said.

To order Jonathan Cahn’s new book, The Altar of Pergamon, visit Amazon.com.

Rather than finding lasting satisfaction through entertainment, social media, addictions or other pursuits, many young people are discovering an emptiness that only Christ can fill.

When Campos-Duffy asked how Christians can better reach young women, Crawford emphasized the importance of godly leadership and example. Rather than relying solely on words, he believes believers—especially men—must demonstrate the character of Christ through their actions.

“We need to lead by example,” Crawford said. “The Bible says He didn’t come to be served, but to serve.”

He encouraged Christian men to model patience, courage, self-control and sacrificial love, creating a compelling witness that points others toward Jesus.

The conversation also touched on another emerging trend among young Christians: marriage and commitment. At just 22 years old, Crawford shared how marriage has transformed his understanding of God’s love.

Recalling the moment he watched his wife walk down the aisle, Crawford said it gave him a deeper revelation of Christ as the Bridegroom and the church as His bride.

“My job as a husband is to lay my life down for my wife,” he said. “That’s exactly what Christ has done for me.”

Crawford added that many of his peers are embracing marriage and lifelong commitment, noting, “Tons of my friends are getting engaged, married, and commitment is cool.”

Campos-Duffy concluded by highlighting Crawford’s observation about the overwhelming influence of smartphones on today’s generation. She described it as “the absolute mega-dose of sin that is coming via the phone to this generation.”

Yet amid the challenges, there is hope.

For many young people experiencing the emptiness of a culture that promises fulfillment but often delivers disappointment, a growing number are rediscovering what previous generations found to be true: genuine purpose, identity and lasting peace are ultimately found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Sesame Street Sparks Outrage With Pride Month Push

A renewed cultural flashpoint has emerged as Sesame Street faces backlash over its latest pride month message.

The long-running children’s program, produced by Sesame Workshop, posted a rainbow-themed image of its beloved characters stacked together in multicolored hues, accompanied by the caption: “Happy Pride Month from Sesame Street. Join us in celebrating and uplifting the LGBTQIA+ members of our community.”

Speaking on the issue, CBN’s Billy Hallowell emphasized that the debate goes beyond political or theological differences.

“What is so disturbing about this… is that these are things that are targeting children,” Hallowell said. “This is Sesame Street. It’s a children’s show. Why are we inserting adult themes about relationships and proclivities into children’s programming?”

Hallowell made clear that his concern centers on age-appropriate content. “These are not things that kids should be thinking about or talking about in any way,” he said. “They’re adult issues.”

Tré Goins-Phillips added that criticism of pride messaging is often misunderstood or dismissed. “One of the most frustrating parts about this conversation for me is the whataboutism that always comes from the left,” Goins-Phillips said. He argued that biblical teaching addresses all forms of sexual immorality, noting, “Go to any church and ask any pastor… a Bible-believing pastor will tell you what he thinks.”

To order Zaire Willis and Reginald Robinson’s new book, Born Gay, Born Again, visit Amazon.com.

The conversation sharpened as Hallowell raised concerns about what he believes is a deeper agenda behind such messaging.

“You would only do this if you were trying to indoctrinate children into an ideology or a thought process,” Hallowell said. “And I think that is the problem with this.

He also pointed to what he described as a cultural double standard. “The very same people pushing this on children won’t allow any kids in a public school within 20 feet of a Bible, and yet here we are putting this sort of thing out there to children,” he said.

Goins-Phillips pointed out that Sesame Street’s audience—children ages 2 to 5—should not hear about this kind of content at all.

“There shouldn’t be any sexualized conversation happening really in any way for a children’s show that’s marketed to two-, three-, four-, five-year-old children,” he said.

This issue is not simply about culture, but about staying anchored in biblical truth while navigating an ever-changing world. The Bible is clear that believers are called to raise children in the instruction of the Lord, guarding what influences their hearts and minds from an early age. In a world where messaging is increasingly blurred, that responsibility carries even greater weight.

Sid Roth and David Diga Hernandez Expose the Deception Keeping Christians Bound

Many believers may be missing what God is doing because they are confusing fear with discernment and religious routine with the power of the Holy Spirit.

In a recent conversation with Sid Roth on It’s Supernatural!, minister David Diga Hernandez said the Lord highlighted three words for this hour: “Deliverance, deception and discernment.”

Roth opened the discussion by saying, “If you don’t understand those three words, the three D’s, then you’re going to miss 90% of the activity of what God is up to on planet Earth.”

Hernandez pointed to a recent ministry trip to Abuja, Nigeria, where he said many warned him about witchcraft, demonic activity and heightened spiritual warfare in the region. But instead of becoming fearful, Hernandez said the Holy Spirit reminded him of a deeper truth.

There are no tough regions for Him,” Hernandez said. “Wherever there is hunger and faith, His power can move.”

He said the Lord convicted him with the biblical truth that “greater is He who’s in me than he who is in the world,” emphasizing that the Holy Spirit does not lose power based on geography, culture or spiritual opposition.

During the service in Nigeria, Hernandez said many people were delivered. But one moment stood out. A woman who had already received deliverance began manifesting again. While many ministers may have assumed she still needed further deliverance, Hernandez said the Holy Spirit gave him discernment that the demonic bondage had already been broken and that emotion had taken over.

“Lady, you’re free,” Hernandez told her. “That’s just flesh now. I’m telling you, the Lord’s done it.”

He then calmly ministered to her, saying, “You don’t need to beg and plead. It’s done.”

Hernandez said the moment revealed how easily believers can mistake appearance for true spiritual discernment.

“If this were an actual devil, she would not have been able to do that right now,” he said. “Sometimes we get caught up in things. I think it was a real deliverance. But it was done.”

For Hernandez, the lesson was clear: Christians must rely on the Holy Spirit, not formulas, fear or religious performance.

“Religion keeps people bound,” he said. “When the Son sets you free, He sets you free indeed.”

The conversation then shifted to Hernandez’s move back to California, which he said came after 12 confirmations from the Lord. Though he had settled in Texas with his family and ministry, Hernandez said God began stirring him to return to California, specifically Orange County.

“I believe there’s a great harvest of souls coming in,” Hernandez said. “I believe Los Angeles, I believe all of California is going to experience revival.”

To order Sid Roth’s new book, The Glory Story, visit Amazon.com.

He said true surrender is not complicated or emotional hype, but simple obedience.

“Surrender is simply reading the Word, knowing the Word and then obeying the Word of God,” he said.

Hernandez also shared reports of healings, including people claiming restored hearing and tumors disappearing during recent services. Still, he made it clear that the glory belongs to Jesus alone.

“I’m not the healer. He’s the healer,” Hernandez said. “I’m not the deliverer. Jesus is the deliverer.”

For Christians in this hour, the message is urgent: do not be deceived by fear, religious striving or outward appearances. Deliverance is real. Deception is subtle. Discernment is essential. And when the Holy Spirit moves, He does not need man’s panic—He needs yielded vessels who trust His voice.

‘China’s Nostradamus’ Predicts Global Upheaval Amid UFO and AI Obsession

As anticipation builds around the release of government UFO records, one international commentator warns that the greatest impact may not come from what is revealed—but from how humanity responds.

Jiang Xueqin, a Chinese-Canadian professor and geopolitical commentator sometimes referred to by supporters as “China’s Nostradamus,” recently weighed in on the growing global fascination with UFOs, artificial intelligence and hidden government knowledge.

According to a Daily Mail report, Jiang believes society may be approaching a pivotal moment that could fundamentally challenge long-held assumptions about reality.

The discussion comes amid renewed attention to the Trump administration’s efforts to declassify and release documents related to unidentified flying objects and unexplained aerial phenomena. The prospect of additional government transparency has fueled speculation among researchers, lawmakers and the public regarding what authorities may know about unexplained encounters.

However, Jiang’s concerns extend beyond the contents of any specific file.

To order L.A. Marzulli’s book, Rungs of Disclosure, visit Amazon.com.

According to the Daily Mail, he argues that humanity is becoming increasingly consumed by questions surrounding extraterrestrial life, artificial intelligence, conspiracy theories and unexplained phenomena. Rather than bringing clarity, he suggests these developments could contribute to greater social division as people become entrenched in competing narratives about reality.

The warning arrives at a time when public interest in UFOs has reached levels not seen in decades. Congressional hearings, military footage and government investigations have pushed the topic from the fringes of public discourse into mainstream conversation.

Jiang reportedly suggested that future discoveries—whether scientific, technological or governmental—could force people to reconsider their understanding of the world. He also raised questions about advanced scientific research and whether humanity may be approaching breakthroughs that challenge conventional views of consciousness, dimensions and the nature of existence itself, according to the Daily Mail.

While many view such possibilities through a scientific lens, others see deeper spiritual implications.

Conversations about unexplained phenomena often raise questions that extend beyond technology and national security. Scripture repeatedly emphasizes the need for discernment in times of uncertainty and warns believers not to be carried away by deception or sensational claims.

Jesus cautioned His followers that deception would increase in the last days, while the apostle Paul urged believers to “test everything; hold fast what is good” (1 Thess. 5:21).

In a culture captivated by mysteries in the sky, Christians are called to keep their eyes fixed on Christ, who remains unchanged regardless of what discoveries emerge. As fascination with UFOs, artificial intelligence, and the unknown continues to grow, the challenge for believers is not merely to seek answers—but to remain grounded in biblical truth as they do so.

Elevation Church Announces Major New Venture Set to Launch This Fall

One of America’s most influential churches is taking a significant step into higher education.

Elevation Church, the North Carolina-based megachurch led by Pastor Steven Furtick, is launching Elevation College this fall through a partnership with Southeastern University, a Christian institution affiliated with the Assemblies of God, according to reporting by WFAE and Carolina Public Press.

The new college is designed to combine accredited academic coursework with hands-on ministry training inside one of the nation’s largest churches.

Operating under the slogan “Where calling meets college,” Elevation College will offer students opportunities to pursue degrees in areas such as biblical studies, pastoral care and counseling, digital media and design, production and ministerial leadership.

To order Jonathan Cahn’s new book, The Altar of Pergamon, visit Amazon.com.

According to WFAE, the partnership follows Southeastern University’s established model of working with church-based educational sites across the country. Students enrolled in the program will not only complete coursework but will also gain practical ministry experience by serving alongside Elevation Church staff in worship, youth ministry, production, creative departments and other church ministries.

The college’s annual cost is expected to remain below $20,000, including tuition, housing and fees, according to figures cited by Charlotte Ledger.

As churches face mounting cultural pressure and spiritual confusion, the need for biblically grounded leaders has perhaps never been greater. Whether through traditional seminaries, ministry schools or innovative partnerships like Elevation College, the mission remains the same: to equip men and women who will boldly proclaim Christ, serve His church and impact their generation with the truth of God’s Word.

Sasquatch Encounter? Idaho Teens Report Chilling Camping Experience

A Memorial Day camping trip in the mountains of Idaho has sparked fresh discussion about one of America’s most enduring mysteries after a group of teenagers claimed they encountered what they believe were multiple sasquatches deep in the wilderness.

According to a report from Fox News’ OutKick, 10 teenagers from Parma, Idaho, traveled to the Payette National Forest near McCall over Memorial Day weekend expecting a typical camping excursion. Instead, several members of the group returned home convinced they had experienced something far more unusual.

The report details a series of alleged encounters that unfolded over the weekend. One camper, identified as Abi, reportedly had an unsettling experience early in the trip but chose not to immediately tell the others because she did not want to alarm the group.

As the weekend progressed, additional campers reported hearing unexplained noises around the campsite and feeling as though they were being watched from the surrounding forest, according to Fox.

To order Katie Souza’s new book, Star Gods, visit Amazon.com.

Several members of the group eventually concluded they may have been observing large, unidentified creatures moving through the woods.

The teenagers also claimed to have found what they considered unusual physical evidence around their campsite.

According to the Fox News report, they heard a knocking sound, as though someone were trying to start their car. Perhaps the most shocking account came from Daniel, who said that he “saw a figure on two legs,” which he describes as a “9-foot-tall creature with blank eyes,” according to Fox.

Stories like these can serve as a reminder that there are mysteries all around us. While believers should approach extraordinary claims with wisdom, discernment and a commitment to truth, Scripture also reminds us that much about the world remains beyond human understanding.

In a culture increasingly captivated by legends and unexplained experiences, believers can stand firmly on the truth of God’s Word. We are called not to fear what may be concealed in the shadows but to walk confidently in the light of Christ, who reveals truth and gives peace even when answers remain elusive.

Israel Police Vow to Defend Pride Month Celebrations as Massive Dead Sea Festival Kicks Off

Israel is hosting massive pride month celebrations across the nation.

According to The Jerusalem Post, Israel Police Commissioner Danny Levy recently met with representatives of Israel’s LGBTQ+ community to discuss security preparations for pride month events throughout June. Levy pledged that law enforcement would ensure participants could celebrate “in complete safety, without fear and without interference.”

The Jerusalem Post reported that police are increasing security measures and expanding liaison officers assigned to work directly with LGBTQ+ communities. The move comes ahead of the annual Tel Aviv pride parade, scheduled for June 12, which is returning to its traditional route after recent disruptions caused by the ongoing war and security concerns.

To order Zaire Willis and Reginald Robinson’s new book, Born Gay, Born Again, visit Amazon.com.

The celebrations begin with the Pride Land festival near the Dead Sea, slated to run from June 1 through June 4. As Charisma previously reported, this pride festival is taking place near the biblical location of Sodom and Gomorrah, which should serve first and foremost as a warning against lifestyles against God’s created order.

The Bible’s teaching regarding sexuality has not changed. From Genesis to Revelation, God’s design for marriage and sexual expression remains consistent. Those truths are increasingly unpopular in today’s culture, yet they remain part of God’s unchanging Word.

However, biblical conviction should never be confused with hostility. For believers, that distinction is critical.

The Christian response to pride month should be rooted in prayer. Many individuals involved in LGBTQ+ communities are searching for identity, belonging and purpose—needs that ultimately find their fulfillment in Christ alone.

The apostle Paul reminds believers that spiritual deception is not defeated through political arguments or cultural battles but through the power of the gospel. Christians are called to pray for those who are spiritually bound, asking God to open eyes, soften hearts and reveal His truth.

As pride events unfold this month, the church’s mission remains the same: boldly proclaim biblical truth while extending Christ’s invitation to freedom and redemption.
