Feeling Stuck? Why the Wilderness Season May Be God’s Greatest Preparation for Your Miracle

For many of us, the waiting season can feel unbearable. The prayers continue, the promises linger, and the breakthrough seems delayed. But Alwyn Uys’ message is reminding Christians that God often does His deepest work not at the destination—but in the wilderness journey itself.

In a heartfelt reflection shared while sitting in his car reading the Bible and journaling, Uys opened up about how the Lord has recently been teaching him about patience in the process.

“I had this sense that so many people are impatient right now with current situations, with current circumstances,” he said. “Why aren’t things moving faster than what we want them to move right now?”

Uys then recounted a recent ministry trip to California that unexpectedly became a spiritual lesson. After flying nearly 10 hours and then driving another six hours to Los Angeles, he found himself questioning why the journey had to be so long.

“Lord, why didn’t we just fly there? Why couldn’t the journey have been shorter? Because I just want to get to my end destination,” he recalled praying.

That is when he sensed the Lord speak something powerful to his heart: “Oftentimes it’s not so much about where we get to…it’s about the journey. And some things God can only do by taking you the long way.”

Drawing a parallel to the Israelites wandering through the wilderness, Uys noted that although the Promised Land was geographically close, God intentionally led His people through a much longer process.

“They knew exactly where they were going,” he said. “But going from Egypt all the way to the Promised Land…it could have taken them only a couple of weeks, but it took them 40 years.”

According to the message, the wilderness season is not a punishment, but preparation.

“There is no shortcuts in the wilderness,” he said. “There are some things that we have to go through…in order to sustain and maintain what we are receiving in the promised land.”

Uys emphasized that while many believers focus solely on breakthrough, promotion or answered prayer, God is often more concerned with transformation during the process.

“God wants the journey. We want the result,” he said. “The journey is just as important as the end destination.”

He also encouraged believers not to despise seasons of delay or wilderness, because those are often the very places where God’s love, goodness and character become most real.

“The wilderness is where you see the love of God, where you see the goodness of God,” he said. “And the promised land is where you see His faithfulness.”

In a culture obsessed with instant gratification and immediate results, this message serves as a sobering reminder that God rarely wastes a season. Sometimes the delay is not denial—it is divine preparation.

Stunning Artifact Confirms Biblical Account of Moses

History just keeps proving that the Bible is not only real, but is the only way to the Truth.

According to Fox News, a 3,800-year-old discovery in the Egyptian desert was just made, giving us direct proof of Moses’ existence. As the site noted, “two-etchings were found at Serabit el-Khadim, an ancient turquoise mining site in the Sinai Desert.” This is the location where Jewish workers were found in the Middle Bronze Age. It is believed that these artifacts are from the time period between 1800 and 1600 B.C.

The writing on these inscriptions says “Zot M’Moshe” and “Ne’um Moshe,” which means “This is from Moses,” and “Declaration of Moses.” Further, they used the word “El,” which is linked to descriptions of God in the Old Testament in connection with Abraham.

Epigraphist, Michael S. Bar-Ron told Fox that these inscriptions also pointed to a rebuke of those who followed paganism. If the inscriptions are verified by scholars, they would be the “…earliest written mention of Moses outside of the Bible.”

Discoveries like this remind us that God continues to pull back the veil of history, confirming His Word in tangible ways. What the world often dismisses as myth, God reveals as fact. Each stone, each inscription, each artifact testifies to the unshakable reality that the Bible is not just an ancient book—it is the living Word of God.

Prophetic Word from Jonathan Cahn: God Is Not Finished With Your Calling

In a powerful message, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn delivered a prophetic word grounded in the book of Haggai, calling believers to rise up, remember their calling, and step into the greater glory God has prepared. Drawing from Haggai 2:4–9, Cahn emphasized God’s charge to Zerubbabel, Joshua the high priest, and the remnant of Israel to “take courage… and work, for I am with you.”

Just as the ancient Israelites returned from Babylonian exile and faced opposition in rebuilding the second temple, Cahn reminded believers that today’s spiritual battles are no different. For 15 years, the people in Haggai’s day delayed the work of God’s house, distracted by their own homes, businesses and personal concerns. But God sent a wake-up call: “The glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former.”

That ancient prophecy became deeply personal for Cahn and his congregation. Years before they faced a major transition, a pastor with a profound prophetic gift gave Cahn a word: “Enlarge your tent… I will give you a place you will own… The glory of the latter house will be greater than the former.” At the time, there was no apparent need to move—they were renting a large space. But one year later, a crisis came. Their landlord demanded they vacate. Suddenly, the prophetic word made perfect sense.

What followed was a journey filled with obstacles: broken negotiations, zoning denials and real estate roadblocks. At one point, the property they believed was from God was sold to another buyer. But miraculously, the deal fell through, and the building came back on the market—on the very Hebrew date (Elul 24) that Haggai’s original prophecy was delivered. The confirmations continued to unfold, including another word from the same pastor who visited two years later and declared once again from Haggai 2: “The glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former.”

On the Feast of Tabernacles—their final service in the old building—they uncovered two silver trumpets, echoing Numbers 10:2, where God commands the blowing of trumpets when His people are about to move forward. The next day, after fervent prayer, the town unexpectedly reversed its decision and granted them the building. The vote took place on the exact biblical day of the latter house prophecy: the 21st day of the seventh month.

Cahn urged listeners not to miss the message for their own lives. “God is saying, ‘Remember the calling I gave you. Remember the promise. I haven’t revoked it. Rise up and get on with it.’” What seems like delay, disappointment or setback may in fact be God’s orchestration, bringing everything into perfect alignment for His glory.

As believers face uncertainty in the world, Cahn’s word is a clear call to return to God’s priorities, to trust His timing and to believe for the greater glory that is yet to come. “You don’t need to know the future,” he said, “you just need to walk with the One who holds it.”

Defend Free Enterprise

Our research indicates that the economic system we call the free enterprise system was derived from the laws given to the Israelites in our Bible.

Free enterprise is the basis of the prosperity we have inherited in America, yet it has come under increasing attack by anti-freedom and anti-Christian forces which have arisen. Now an avowed socialist has been selected by a major political party to run as mayor of New York City.

It is up to us to defend free enterprise if we hope to save our freedom and prosperity.

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

There are five main features of a godly economy which we call the five pillars of prosperity. Each is under attack:

The foundational pillar is adhering to the rule of law (Leviticus 9:15 and Exodus 22:21) which creates a level playing field and certainty in business transactions. Our laws are enacted by Congress under our Constitution, but there has been a steady encroachment by bureaucrats and our presidents. We have seen government agencies like the IRS, the Justice Department, the Labor Department, the Environmental Protection Agency and others try to enforce regulations which blatantly contradict laws passed by Congress.

/**/

Our courts, which are designed to protect us from these lawless power grabs, have begun to return to constitutional principles in their recent decisions and now are under attack by a scheme to “pack” the Supreme Court with lawless judges. We need only look to the example of Argentina, which packed its court and allowed lawless government policies, to see how a prosperous country can be driven into poverty by subverting the rule of law.

The second pillar of prosperity is the right to own private property (Deuteronomy 28:9-11, Exodus 20:25 and 22:1-5), which is the very expression of freedom and prosperity. Yet private property is under attack from big government restrictions to achieve social objectives, excess taxation and efforts to sabotage politically disfavored businesses like energy and firearms. And the American socialists who seem to have forgotten how socialism and its cousin communism drove nations into poverty and murdered millions. Property rights are a bulwark against tyranny and slavery.

The third pillar is the right to freedom of labor (Deuteronomy 28:8), to reap the rewards of our work. The right to determine how you work and for whom is a mainspring of creativity and flexibility, as for example when Uber drivers signed up to supplement their income. But self-employment lets people save on their taxes by deducting expenses, so big government has come against companies like Uber to force drivers to be taxed as employees and be targeted for union organization. Government also restricts services through unnecessary licensing laws, depriving people of opportunity and driving up consumer prices. Everyone suffers when government interferes with freedom of labor.

The fourth pillar of prosperity is limited government (Deuteronomy 16:19-20 and 17:16-20). God warned Israel, when they wanted a king, that authoritarian rule would subvert the rule of law, compromise private property rights, and undermine freedom of labor (1 Samuel 8:11-18). This process has been underway in America as big government has become more powerful, and now we have dedicated authoritarian politicians who brazenly want to end our freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of self-defense and our other constitutional rights. Nobel prize winning economist Friedrich Hayek warned us of the outcome of unlimited government in the title of his classic book, The Road to Serfdom.

Finally, the fifth pillar of prosperity is protecting poor (Deuteronomy 15:7,15:11, and Exodus 22:20-27). In ancient Israel, this protection included the obligation of believers to help the needy, limits on usury, the right to start over and the right to rise from poverty. The Church has largely turned its obligations to help the poor over to the government, but as a result government programs have stifled the ability of many to rise out of poverty. We have also seen usury limits abandoned, allowing up to 500 percent annual interest, and bankruptcy protections eroded. By creating a permanent underclass of poor people dependent on government we are putting our entire society at risk.

Thinking they are helping the poor, many in the Church have not stood up for God’s free enterprise system. But the best way to help the poor is to follow God’s design for a prosperous economy, the free enterprise system. We need to educate our people and speak out to defend the rule of law, private property, freedom of labor, limited government, and protection of the poor.

Establishing economic literacy should be a goal of our Churches.

“My People are destroyed for lack of knowledge” Hosea 4:6

Don’t let it happen in America.

Defend free enterprise while you can.

Hell Will Be Full of Pastors: Scary Reality About Your Faith

There’s only one truth and one way to heaven: through Jesus Christ alone.

This is the message that Pastor Mark Driscoll recently shared, and while it may seem like the simplest, most basic part of the Christian faith, it’s a reality that so many have ignored.

“You can have your parents baptize you as a baby in the church. You can grow up going to youth group in the church. You can serve in the church, you can sing songs in the church, you can tithe to the church … and go to hell,” Driscoll says.

Driscoll’s message on Hebrews four was a call for Christians to look past their religious activity and examine the true condition of their heart posture toward the Lord.

“These are people that spent 40 years going to church and not going to heaven,” he said, referring to the Israelites in the wilderness. “They had something that today we would call portable church … it was called the Tabernacle … and they would worship and they would have church.”

Despite decades of worship, prayers and rituals, many never entered the Promised Land.

“Some had faith, and some faked their faith,” Pastor Mark said.

He delivered the strongest warnings for church leaders and lifelong churchgoers alike.

“Hell will be filled with pastors. Hell will be filled with Bible college and seminary professors. Hell will have an entire neighborhood for bishops, and board members will get cuts in the line to hell,” he said. “You were in church, but not in Christ. You did religious things, but you never repented of your wrongdoing.”

Referencing Hebrews 4:1, Pastor Mark said one of the primary reasons many miss heaven is a lack of reverence.

“They do not ‘fear God,’” he said. “All of a sudden God becomes a life coach or a motivational speaker or a self-esteem consultant … I take the hard parts of the Bible and I ignore them.”

The result, he warned, is “excuses and entitlement.”

“Well, this is my life, my background, my trauma, my personality … all of which may be true but are not valid,” he said.

“Church doesn’t save. Only Jesus Christ saves.”

Pastor Mark urged listeners not to deflect the message onto others but to examine themselves.

“As you’re hearing this sermon, some of you will start thinking of other people. Think of self first. Amen?” he said.

“There is no rest unless you receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.”

Driscoll’s message serves as a bold reminder: being in church doesn’t guarantee being in Christ. It’s not enough to simply go through the motions—singing songs, tithing or even serving in ministry. Only a personal, surrendered relationship with Jesus Christ brings salvation.

The question isn’t about your church resume; it’s about your heart. Are you in Christ, or are you just in church? Take a moment to examine yourself, and remember that true peace and rest come only when Jesus is your Savior and Lord. This is a call to make sure your faith is genuine before it’s too late.

Setting Your Mind on What Matters Most

Have you ever wondered if something is holding you back from experiencing the promises of God in your life? I remember a time when I was hearing about all the promises of God but not truly experiencing them.

I heard about peace, but I had none. I heard about joy, but I was always unhappy. I could see God’s promises in His Word and I believed them, but something was missing. As I spent time in God’s Word, I came to realize that the root of my problem was found in the wrong mindsets I was living with.

The story of the Israelites is a good example of how much difference our mindset can make. In Exodus 13, we read about how God called them out of Egypt to possess the promised land. What was supposed to be an 11-day journey ended up being a 40-year journey through the wilderness—all because the people didn’t know how to think right (Deut. 1).

One wrong mindset the Israelites had was the following: “Please make everything easy for me because I can’t take it when things are too hard.” When things got difficult and they had to fight their enemies, instead of turning to God, they grumbled and complained about their situation. They thought their enemies were the problem, but in fact, it was their thinking.

Instead of moving forward and experiencing the good things God had planned for them, He had to take them the long, hard way through the wilderness to prepare them to possess the promised land.

Like the Israelites, sometimes we’re not ready for everything God has planned for us, so we spend a little time in the wilderness, growing up and learning how to trust Him. I am familiar with this. There was a time when I had an “it’s just too hard” attitude and mindset about the things I needed to face.

Set Your Mind on What Matters Most

Have you ever wondered if something is holding you back from experiencing the promises of God in your life? I remember a time when I was hearing about all the promises of God but never actually experiencing them.

So instead of moving forward and experiencing the good things God had planned for them, He had to take them the long, hard way through the wilderness in order to prepare them to possess the promised land.

Like the Israelites, sometimes we’re not ready for all that God has planned for us, so we spend a little time in the wilderness, growing up and learning how to trust Him. I know what this is like. There was a time when I had an “it’s just too hard” attitude and mindset about things I needed to face.

For example, when God spoke to my heart that I needed to completely forgive people who had hurt me, it seemed impossible. But realizing that He didn’t expect me to do it in my own strength gave me the courage to take a step of faith and choose to forgive, trusting that God would change my heart and set me free from the misery of bitterness and unforgiveness.

It wasn’t easy, but the peace and joy I now have is so much better than living with the bitterness and resentment of unforgiveness. And I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing today if I hadn’t obeyed God in this area of my life.

God sometimes has to bring us through hardship to test us, humble us and see if we will keep His commandments in the wilderness. Deuteronomy 8:2 (NIV) says, “Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.”

God wants to help us learn how to obey Him in the wilderness because if we don’t keep His commandments when life is hard, then we won’t keep them when everything is going our way. He wants us to be strong enough and mature enough to keep moving forward in His plan for our lives.

Instead of having the mindset that says, “It’s just too hard!” the truth is that with God’s help, you can do whatever you need to do in life. Philippians 4:13 (NIV) says, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

When the enemy starts to tell you that your circumstances are impossible, you’ll never make it and you should quit, you can be confident knowing this promise from God: I can do whatever I need to do through Christ who gives me strength. You can look to God for the strength you need to deal with whatever life throws at you.

Once we adopt a right mindset to replace a wrong one, we must be determined to keep our thoughts headed in that direction. Colossians 3:2 (AMPC) says to “set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.”

You do that by focusing on the promises of God in His Word, choosing to trust what He says more than what your circumstances look like, what others say or how you feel. The truth is God loves you, He has wonderful plans for your life and He wants you to experience all He has for you.

Instead of focusing on the hard things in your life, think about all God has helped you through and all He has in store for you. Set your mind on Him and follow His lead through the wilderness to your promised land.
