Archaeologists Uncover Stunning Biblical Discovery Linked to the Ark of the Covenant

Archaeologists excavating biblical Shiloh in Israel say newly uncovered ruins may strengthen the case that they have identified the location where the Ark of the Covenant was once housed.

The Daily Mail reported that researchers with Associates for Biblical Research recently uncovered the southern wall of a monumental Iron I period structure, allowing them to reconstruct its full dimensions for the first time. The building’s east-west orientation and proportions closely resemble the biblical description of the Tabernacle.

“The discovery of the southern wall now enables our researchers to reconstruct the full dimensions of the building and better evaluate its function and significance,” excavation director Dr. Scott Stripling said in a blog post cited by the Daily Mail.

Order Dinesh D’Souza’s New Book, “The Stones Cry Out” on !

Researchers emphasized they have not discovered the Ark of the Covenant itself.

Excavators also uncovered worship-related artifacts in and around the structure, including altar horns, ceramic pomegranates and murex shells. The shells were used to produce the blue dye associated with priestly garments described in Scripture.

In another part of the site, archaeologists uncovered additional walls from Shiloh’s northern fortification system, providing new insight into the city’s defenses and urban layout. The team also discovered three large Canaanite storage jars containing charred olives, wheat and lentils. Researchers plan to conduct radiocarbon testing to establish a more precise date for the destruction layer where the jars were found.

“These discoveries provide an important window into the earliest occupational phases of Shiloh and help us better understand the site’s history before the Israelite settlement,” Stripling said.

While the Ark of the Covenant remains one of history’s greatest mysteries, archaeologists say this excavation season has produced new evidence that appears to align with the biblical record surrounding ancient Shiloh.

This Hidden Work of the Holy Spirit Could Change Your Walk With God

Most Christians know about the Ark of the Covenant.

Many know about the veil, the altar and the Holy of Holies.

Few know about the mirrors.

During a recent interview with Charisma Media, Rabbi Kirt Schneider highlighted an often-overlooked detail in the tabernacle that reveals a powerful truth about spiritual growth, repentance and the work of the Holy Spirit.

The object in question was the brass laver, a basin used by Israel’s priests before they ministered before the Lord.

“One of the pieces of furniture inside the tabernacle once you’re able to see inside is something called the brass laver,” Schneider explained.

The priests came to the laver daily to wash themselves before entering into service. Yet Schneider pointed to a detail many readers miss when studying the book of Exodus.

“The Lord specifically instructed in the Torah that the brass laver, which was that place where the priests came daily to wash themselves, the Lord said it had to be made from the mirrors of the women that ministered outside the doorway of the tent of meeting or the tabernacle.”

The command was deliberate.

“It wasn’t just to be made of brass. It couldn’t just be any brass. It had to be made of the mirrors.”

Every detail of the tabernacle carried meaning because the structure was not man’s idea. It was God’s design.

“The pattern of the tabernacle was given from Hashem himself, from the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ,” Schneider said. “Every measurement, every type of material it was made from, every piece of furniture that was in there, the garb of the priest, every single part of the tabernacle was not the result of mankind trying to figure out how they could build a nice place to come and worship God.”

Order Rabbi Kirt Schneider’s New Book, “The Mystery of the Tabernacle” on !

For Schneider, that means the mirrors were not an accident. They were a lesson.

“When those priests came to the brass laver each day and they leaned over it in the hot desert sun, what did they see? A reflection of themselves.”

That image forms the foundation of Schneider’s teaching.

“What this tells us is if we’re going to be cleansed, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to be our mirror, showing us who we are and the truth about ourselves.”

In an age filled with distractions, noise and constant affirmation, Schneider believes Christians need the ministry of that mirror more than ever.

“The Lord is always wanting to be holding up that mirror in our life so that we can see what it is that he’s wanting to correct, what it is that he’s wanting us to overcome, what it is that we need to change, where do we need to shift.”

The reflection is not intended to bring shame. It is intended to bring transformation.

Schneider pointed to practical areas where the Holy Spirit often works.

“How are you communicating? What’s the energy of your communication? Are you divisive? Are you gossiping? Are you accusing? Are you speaking in fear? Are you putting burdens on people that you shouldn’t be putting burdens on?”

According to Schneider, conviction is evidence of God’s love at work in the life of a believer.

“The Holy Spirit becomes a mirror.”

The response to that mirror determines whether growth follows.

“If we’ll allow him to show us ourselves and say yes to him and agree with him, then what happens is that’s repentance. We are cleansed and transformed.”

The lesson hidden within the brass laver challenges a common assumption about spiritual maturity. Growth is not simply about gaining more knowledge or accumulating more information. It begins with allowing God to reveal what needs to change.

Schneider described the principle in simple terms.

“I think this is huge because I think the only way of transformation is through self-awareness and this is what the Holy Spirit wants to be for us, a sacred mirror.”

Thousands of years ago, priests approached the brass laver before entering deeper into God’s presence. Before they ministered, they stopped and looked.

The Holy Spirit still performs that work today. He reveals what has been hidden. He exposes what must be surrendered. He uncovers attitudes, habits and strongholds that keep believers from walking in greater intimacy with God.

Spiritual growth does not begin by looking around at everyone else. It begins when we allow God to show us ourselves and respond in repentance.

The path to transformation has never changed.

Where Is the Ark of the Covenant? Archaeologists Investigate Site Near the Temple Mount

A renewed wave of intrigue is surrounding one of the Bible’s greatest mysteries: the location of the Ark of the Covenant.

According to a recent report by the Daily Mail, new theories and advancing technology are reigniting the possibility that the sacred artifact may still exist—hidden beneath the ancient city of Jerusalem.

A Sacred Artifact Lost to History

The Ark of the Covenant, described in Scripture as the gold-covered chest that held the Ten Commandments, once resided in the heart of Israel’s worship within the temple in Jerusalem. Its disappearance following the Babylonian destruction of the city in 586 B.C. has puzzled historians, theologians and archaeologists for centuries.

The Daily Mail reports that one leading theory suggests the Ark was never taken by invading forces. Instead, it may have been intentionally hidden in underground chambers beneath Jerusalem to protect it from destruction.

Hidden Beneath the Temple?

According to the report, researchers believe the Ark could be concealed in subterranean tunnels or secret chambers near the ancient temple site. This theory is rooted in the idea that priests or temple guardians acted swiftly before the Babylonian invasion, securing the Ark in a hidden location.

To order Dinesh D’Souza’s new book, The End of Time, visit .

What makes this theory particularly compelling is the growing use of advanced scanning technologies. These tools, capable of detecting underground voids and structures, may allow researchers to explore what lies beneath the surface—without disturbing the highly sensitive and contested religious ground above.

The Daily Mail notes that while no definitive discovery has been made, such technology opens the door to uncovering secrets long-buried beneath one of the world’s most sacred cities.

A Prophetic Pattern: Rediscovery Before His Return?

While the world looks to science for answers, there just may be something deeper unfolding. The renewed interest in biblical artifacts like the Ark of the Covenant comes at a time when archaeological discoveries tied to Scripture are accelerating worldwide.

Could this be more than coincidence?

Throughout history, God has used tangible signs to point humanity back to Himself. The possibility that these critical objects are being potentially uncovered in our time raises profound spiritual questions.

As interest in biblical history intensifies, it may serve as a divine invitation for a searching world to rediscover the reality of God.

The Ark itself was never meant to be worshiped—it pointed to the presence and holiness of God.

Today, the fascination surrounding it may be stirring hearts once again—not toward an artifact, but toward the living God it represents.

As the Ark continues to capture global attention, the greatest discovery is not the Ark itself, but the truth of God’s existence, and the call to return to Him before time runs out.

Ark of the Covenant Discovery? Why Its Return Could Signal God’s End Times Plan

For centuries, the Ark of the Covenant has captured the imagination of historians, archaeologists and believers alike. Revered as the very dwelling place of God, it remains one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in biblical history.

Now, a new exploration into its fate is reigniting the question: Could the Ark still be out there?

Why the Ark Still Fascinates the World

Archaeologist Dr. Chris McKinny spoke with The 700 Club and says the answer lies in its unmatched spiritual significance.

“I think maybe… the central reason is because it is God’s throne,” McKinny explained. “It’s the place where God has chosen to dwell among His people… It’s such a central piece of Israel’s story.”

The Ark, which held the Ten Commandments, stood at the heart of Israel’s worship for roughly 400 years before vanishing during the Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem in 586 B.C.

Three Theories Surrounding the Ark’s Disappearance

Scholars have long debated what happened to the Ark, and several ancient traditions attempt to answer the question.

One of the earliest accounts suggests the prophet Jeremiah hid it before Jerusalem fell.

“The oldest legend that we have… is a legend from the book of Second Maccabees… in which the Ark is taken by Jeremiah and hidden at a place called Mount Nebo,” McKinny said.

To order Dinesh D’Souza’s new book, The End of Time, visit .

Another tradition places the Ark in a mysterious location known only as “the rock.”

“In that legend, he hides it in this enigmatic place called the rock that’s between these two mountains,” he further explained.

A third theory suggests it may be hidden beneath Jerusalem itself, near the Temple Mount.

A Prophetic Connection to Restoration?

Interestingly, many traditions point not just to the Ark’s disappearance, but to its future.

“All of the legends… point to the fact that when the Ark is recovered, it is a sign of God’s restoration of all things,” McKinny said.

Yet Scripture presents a deeper tension. In Jeremiah 3:16, the prophet declares that the Ark will one day be forgotten. McKinny points to the next verse for clarity.

“Jerusalem itself will become the throne of the Lord,” he said, noting this aligns with the vision in Revelation of God’s presence fully restored.

More Than a Relic: The Presence of God Today

While the Ark remains missing, its message continues to resonate.

As McKinny explained, the story of the Ark ultimately reflects a deeper truth: God’s presence is not confined to a box, but revealed through His people and His redemptive plan.

Even today, that same presence is being experienced. In places like ancient Shiloh, where the tabernacle once stood, believers still gather to pray—just as Hannah did thousands of years ago.

The mystery of the Ark of the Covenant reminds us of one powerful thing: The greatest treasure was never meant to be found in the ground, but encountered in His glory.

God has never lost His power, His presence or His plan. And He continues to reveal His power in wonderful, mysterious ways.

Buried Beneath Time: Could New Technology Reveal the Ark of the Covenant?

Dozens of books have been written about the search for the Ark of the Covenant. These include works of fiction as well as serious research studies. Many films have also been produced, ranging from well-known adventure movies to detailed documentaries.

What makes the Ark so compelling? At first glance, it may seem like just another ancient religious artifact – important in its time but no longer relevant. Yet, this object is not just any religious artifact. For millions of Jews and Christians, the Ark represents the enduring presence of God.

According to the Bible, the Ark was associated with numerous supernatural events: The Jordan River parted when priests carrying the ark crossed the water into the land of Canaan; The Philistines suffered plagues after capturing it against God’s will; Individuals who touched the Ark without divine permission died instantly; And when King Solomon brought the Ark into the Temple, the Temple was filled with the presence of God in the form of a divine cloud. Clearly, this is no ordinary object – it is one that God used miraculously time and again.

The disappearance and early traditions

Then, suddenly, the Ark vanished. After the Babylonians destroyed the Temple in 586 B.C., it was never mentioned again in the Bible. How could the most sacred object in the Temple disappear without any mention? Could something symbolizing God’s presence simply vanish – and what would that mean for Israel’s relationship with God?

The search for the Ark and the legends surrounding its location are not limited to recent centuries. Stories about its fate began circulating as early as the late Second Temple period. Some claimed the Ark was hidden by Jeremiah in the desert. Others suggested it was taken to Egypt or Ethiopia, or concealed beneath the Temple Mount.

It is difficult to determine the truth behind these accounts. All were written from the end of the Second Temple period onward – centuries after the Ark’s disappearance.

Searches and archaeological barriers

Since the 19th century, interest in locating the Ark has grown, producing a literary genre focusing on the search for the Ark, along with research attempting to trace its location. Many documentaries have also been created. Some closely follow scholarly research, while others take a more speculative approach. Yet there is still no trace of the Ark or any reliable clue to its whereabouts.

One of the most prominent proposed locations for the Ark is the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Legends dating back to the Middle Ages even claimed that the Knights Templar discovered the Ark, explaining their supposed wealth and power.

However, excavation in Jerusalem is extremely difficult. The city is the site of a persistent struggle between two forces. On one side are archaeologists eager to dig and uncover the truth; On the other are religious authorities determined to restrict or prevent excavation. This tension is especially evident on the Temple Mount.

The Mount lay neglected throughout the Roman-Byzantine period, from the destruction of the Second Temple in the first century A.D. until the seventh century. If archaeologists had existed during the first millennium, no one would likely have prevented them from digging there. During the Byzantine period, the focus of holiness shifted westward to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Temple Mount remained largely desolate.

In the seventh century, however, a dramatic shift occurred. A new religion emerged from the south and conquered the Middle East and North Africa. The new Muslim rulers took control of the Temple Mount and quickly built the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. From that point on, the site was declared holy in Islam. Holy, not because of Solomon’s Temple, but because, according to Islamic belief, Muhammad ascended to heaven from this place and returned with the command of prayer.

Thus, when archaeology began to develop in the nineteenth century, the Temple Mount was already a restricted area for non-Muslims. Ironically, when it was possible to dig, there was no one to do so; and by the time archaeology developed, the area had become off-limits. Is this merely a coincidence and unfortunate timing?

At the end of the nineteenth century, the Ottoman rulers of Jerusalem showed little interest in the distant and relatively quiet city, far from their capital in Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul). Several adventurous researchers arrived and managed to penetrate beneath the Temple Mount. Among the most notable were Charles Wilson, Charles Warren, and Montagu Parker. They discovered tunnels running north to south and ancient gates west of the Mount. However, the Ottomans soon noticed the explorers’ excessive enthusiasm and barred further access. Since then, no authorized archaeological excavations have taken place on the Temple Mount.

The place everyone dreams of excavating is precisely the place where excavation is strictly forbidden. Muslim authorities also have clear interests. While they are aware that two Jewish Temples once stood there, they deny the truth and therefore resist any excavation that might reveal evidence. As noted, religious authorities often act to conceal rather than expose.

Worse still, officials of the Muslim Waqf have deliberately damaged archaeological remains to create additional underground mosques. In November 1999, they dug a 12-meter-deep pit within a day and a half. The excavated soil was transported to the Kidron Valley in four hundred trucks. By the time Israeli authorities discovered this, it was already too late.

New technology brings future possibilities

Recently, however, a new technology has emerged that could change everything and offer renewed hope to those searching for the Ark of the Covenant.

If it were possible to perform a kind of X-ray scan of the ground – similar to scans used on the human body – to detect differences between hard and soft layers and identify metals, it might be possible to locate the Ark beneath the Temple Mount without digging. The challenge in Jerusalem is not only religious opposition; excavation can also damage infrastructure and cause buildings to collapse.

Such technology now appears to exist. Israeli researchers have developed a method using muon detectors to scan the ground. Muons are subatomic particles similar to electrons but slightly heavier. They originate from cosmic radiation outside the atmosphere and can penetrate deep into the earth. Although muons have a very short lifespan, they possess extremely high energy, allowing them to be detected with specialized instruments. Tracking them enables imaging of density variations within a target material.

Using this technology, researchers have begun mapping underground spaces in the City of David, just south of the Temple Mount. If, in the future, they can map the underground tunnels of the Temple Mount itself, they may be able to detect the Ark – if it is indeed there – since it is plated with gold inside and out.

An unanswered question

The research is still in early stages, and significant obstacles – particularly from religious authorities – are likely to arise. The method will also be featured in a new docudrama premiering soon, in which an archaeology professor investigating possible Ark locations engages on-site with the Israeli scientist behind the technology, who demonstrates the device and explains its potential applications on the Temple Mount.

The central question endures: if the Ark of the Covenant still exists somewhere, concealed for more than 2,500 years, has the time finally come for it to be revealed?

A New Claim About the Ark of the Covenant Is Making Waves and Scripture Has Something to Say

A recent Daily Mail article claims the Ark of the Covenant was not primarily a sacred vessel revealed by God but a theological remix of Egyptian religious furniture. The article centers on a theory by Egyptologist David Falk who argues the Ark borrowed Egyptian visual symbolism while rejecting idol worship, reframing the Ark as a cultural polemic rather than a divinely revealed object.

That claim may sound compelling to modern scholars, but when weighed against Scripture, it collapses under the Bible’s own testimony about the Ark’s origin, purpose and authority.

The Central Claim

The article states that the Ark “was not merely a sacred container for the Ten Commandments, but a radical reimagining of ancient religious symbols.”

Falk argues the Ark was modeled after Egyptian ritual shrines designed to house idols, but unlike those shrines, the Ark “contained no idol, meaning it was built to show that God’s presence did not require a physical representation.”

According to the article, the Ark borrowed Egyptian imagery such as winged figures and protective symbolism but intentionally inverted their meaning. Falk claims this shows the Israelites “weaponized” Egyptian religious symbols to make a theological statement about the superiority of Israel’s God.

In this framing, the Ark becomes a cultural rebuttal rather than a revealed holy object.

Scripture Says the Ark Was Revealed, Not Reimagined

The Bible offers no ambiguity about where the Ark came from. Its design was not the result of cultural memory or theological creativity but direct divine revelation.

In Exodus 25:9, God tells Moses to build the Ark “according to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings.”

This language matters. Moses was not asked to adapt familiar religious furniture. He was commanded to replicate a pattern shown to him by God. Later, Exodus 25:40 reinforces that instruction, emphasizing the design was revealed on the mountain.

The Bible presents the Ark as obedience to revelation, not reinterpretation of Egyptian religion.

Order Amanda Grace’s New Book, “Brace For Impact” on !

The Ark Was Not Empty or Symbolic

Falk’s argument hinges on the idea that the Ark was intentionally empty of divine presence, creating sacred space above it rather than within it. Scripture directly contradicts this framing.

God declares in Exodus 25:22, “There I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim.”

The Ark was not a philosophical statement about divine absence. It was the appointed meeting place where God spoke to Moses. The presence of God was real, active and covenantal.

The Ark also contained the tablets of the law, described repeatedly as “the testimony.” It was not empty. It was filled with covenant authority.

Cherubim Did Not Originate in Egypt

The Daily Mail article emphasizes Egyptian winged imagery as a source for the Ark’s design. Scripture places cherubim long before Israel’s time in Egypt.

Cherubim first appear in Genesis 3:24 guarding the entrance to Eden. They are consistently depicted throughout Scripture as heavenly beings associated with God’s holiness and throne.

This means Egypt did not originate the imagery. At most, Egyptian religion mimicked or distorted heavenly realities already revealed by God.

Egypt Was Judged, Not Consulted

The article assumes Israel was still operating under Egyptian religious influence when the Ark was revealed. The Bible presents Egypt as defeated and judged, not formative.

In Exodus 12:12, God declares judgment “against all the gods of Egypt.” The Ark appears after this judgment, not as a continuation of Egyptian theology but as part of Israel’s separation from it.

The Ark did not weaponize Egyptian symbols. It replaced them with revealed truth.

A Heavenly Pattern, Not Cultural Protest

The New Testament confirms what Exodus already established. In Hebrews 8:5, the tabernacle furnishings are described as “a copy and shadow of the heavenly things.”

This places the Ark’s origin in heaven, not in Egypt.

The righteous indignation arises here because Scripture leaves no room for ambiguity. Recasting the Ark as a clever cultural critique diminishes what the Bible presents as a holy object revealed by God Himself.

The Ark of the Covenant was not designed to make a statement to Egypt. It was designed to house God’s covenant and manifest His presence among His people.

Anything less is not reinterpretation. It is revision.

Why the Blood of Jesus Is Your Ultimate Weapon Against Darkness

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it as the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement” (Lev. 17:11).

The Blood Sacrifice…

It is at the core of our faith: The only way to receive forgiveness and be brought into a right relationship with Father God—is through a blood atonement. Consider, Israel’s sins were forgiven (on the Day of Atonement) when their High Priest would bring into the Holy of Holies the blood of a bull and goat, pouring the blood on the top of the Ark of the Covenant (Lev. 16). When the Lord saw the blood, He overlooked the sins of the children of Israel for that year.

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

The blood sacrifices that took place on Yom Kippur could never completely remove sin. God instituted this as an example, pointing to what would ultimately take away our sins—His own Son. God Himself clothed in humanity, dying on the cross and spilling His blood for our iniquities. Thus, Yeshua was the culmination of all the blood sacrifices in the entire Torah. And because His blood is perfect and forever alive, there never needs to be another blood sacrifice again. It is finished! To say it another way, the blood sacrifices in the Hebrew Bible were shadows of what would ultimately be fulfilled by Messiah Jesus Himself.

But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. (Heb. 9: 11,12)

Protected by the Blood…

Because the blood of Jesus is over us, we are protected and do not have to fear what is on the outside, just like the children of Israel inside their homes, were kept safe by the blood of the Lamb. When we are clinging to God, the blood of the Lamb is applied to our lives and we do not have to be afraid—we do not have to be fearful of being vulnerable to the devil’s attacks. God has got us, and He will not let go!

Renewed by the Blood…

It is a remarkable thing that when we come to Jesus, old things pass away and all things become new. We have been washed. The power of sin over our lives is broken. Our old life has been replaced; we have been given a new nature. We are born again!

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come” (2 Cor. 5:17).

I am not the same person I was 20 years ago, ten years ago, or even five years ago. And as you walk with the Lord, neither are you. You are constantly being cleansed and transformed. Remember, His blood is alive!

Redeemed by the Blood…

It doesn’t matter, beloved one, what you have done in the past. At times you may even still feel defeated, discouraged or depressed. But I want you to know, you are continually being purified. The blood of Yeshua is like a stream of water, just like an endless waterfall where the water just keeps on flowing, so is the blood of Jesus over our lives. The blood of Yeshua just keeps on coming. We are continuously being washed. We are always being transformed. We are endlessly going from glory to glory.

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace” (Eph. 1:7).

Yeshua has purchased us by His blood and is progressively bringing us out of the darkness into His marvelous light.

So do not let the past keep you down. Do not let who you have been deny you from being who you are right now. Beloved, you have been redeemed!

The Real Battleground…

At times we may feel shame and defeat because of what others have said about us. The enemy will try to use this to keep us down and take us captive to his lies. If we are not conscious of the devil’s schemes, he will use what people think about us to beat us up.

But I want you to know it does not matter what people think about you and I. What we think people are thinking typically is not really what they are thinking anyway. Our real battle is in the spirit realm. That is why the Bible says:

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12).

See, the fight is not in the natural realm. The real battles are the thoughts that the enemy tries to bombard our minds with. We have to recognize that many of the thoughts that enter our minds are disinformation coming at us from the realm of darkness. We have to resist thoughts that are self-defeating or are accusing towards others.

“We are destroying arguments and all arrogance raised against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor. 10: 5).

“They conquered him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death” (Rev. 12:11).

Through the blood of Jesus and the knowledge and use of the Word of God, we overcome.

What Is Yom Kippur? Prophetic Meaning Behind the Day of Atonement

The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur, which means “the Day of Covering”) follows the Feast of Trumpets. In ancient times, on this holy day the high priest would go into the Holy of Holies, a sacred room where the Ark of the Covenant was kept, and pour the blood of a bull and a goat on top of the Ark of the Covenant, called the Mercy Seat in Hebrews 9:5. When the Lord saw the blood poured out upon the Mercy Seat, He would overlook the sins of His people for a year.

Leviticus 17:11 declares: “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement. ”Biblically, the Day of Atonement is about the blood that is shed for the forgiveness and covering of sin.

The Lord can only be in covenant with humanity through a blood atonement, for “without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Heb. 9:22). Therefore, for believers in Yeshua, this holy day symbolizes the ultimate atonement made by Messiah, the sinless One whose blood was poured out, opening the way for us to be in covenant relationship with God forever.

In one way, this feast has been fulfilled, insofar as Yeshua’s blood has already been shed and we are able to be in fellowship with God now. But there is also a prophetic way that Yom Kippur will find fulfillment in the future—the Jewish people will turn to Messiah Yeshua. Zechariah 12:10 says, “I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.”

When Yeshua returns, He will lift the veil from their eyes! The Book of Revelation foretells this glorious event that Zechariah wrote about: “Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen” (Rev. 1:7). Paul also foretells of this event in Romans 11, stating that at Messiah’s return “all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, ‘The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob. This is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins’” (vv. 26–27).

The Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament alike anticipate a time in the future when a mass of Jewish people will receive Yeshua as their Messiah. As they do, the kingdom of God will be fully inaugurated in the earth and the fullness of the Day of Atonement will be gloriously manifest.

Historic Discovery Near Ancient Site Tied to the Ark of the Covenant

Archaeology just keeps proving that the Bible is more than a story. It is a historical narrative that proves the existence of God’s people and His miracles.

In a report by the Daily Mail, archaeologists have located a gold ring at the location which is believed to have been the spot where the Ark of the Covenant resided.

This discovery adds yet another layer to the mystery surrounding the Ark of the Covenant—a sacred object described in Scripture as the dwelling place of God’s presence and the vessel of His covenant with Israel. The Bible recounts in Exodus 25 how God gave Moses precise instructions to build the Ark, and later in 2 Samuel and 1 Kings, its central role in Israel’s worship and national identity is recorded. Yet, its final resting place remains one of history’s greatest unsolved mysteries. Finds like this gold ring serve as reminders that the biblical record is deeply rooted in real places, real people and real events.

The Israel Antiquities Authority estimates that this special ring is about 2,300 years old, and most likely would have been for a child. This timeframe dates the ring from the Second Temple era.

Research leader Dr. Marion Zindel said that during this time it was known that “…young women who were engaged to be married would bury their childhood belongings—like jewelry—under the foundations of their future homes as a symbol of leaving childhood behind and entering adulthood.”
