Jenny Weaver Calls Christians to ‘Break the Spell’ of Spiritual Attack

Spiritual warfare does not always announce itself with something dramatic. Sometimes, it comes through persistent opposition, destructive words, fear or the nagging sense that something has been fighting against you and your family.

But Jenny Weaver has a message for believers who feel as though they have been under relentless spiritual attack: What has been spoken against you does not have greater authority than the Word of God.

Weaver recently delivered a bold declaration over those who believe they have been targeted spiritually, reminding Christians that curses, witchcraft and the words of others do not get the final say over their lives.

“Listen, I want to encourage somebody on here today. The spell that has been over your life is broken in the mighty name of Jesus,” Weaver said.

“There have been people who have been actively speaking against you. They have been trying to word curse you. They have been trying to put hexes and vexes and incantations and chants and all kinds of demonic stuff on you,” she continued.

Weaver then pointed Christians back to the promises of Scripture and the authority found in God’s Word.

“But I am here to come with the Word of the Lord. The Bible says that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. And any tongue that rises against you in judgment shall be utterly condemned.”

Weaver’s declaration echoes Isaiah 54:17, one of Scripture’s most recognizable promises concerning God’s protection over His people. The verse does not say that weapons will never be formed. Rather, it promises that the weapons formed against God’s people will not ultimately prosper.

“Do you understand that tongues that are rising up against you, the Lord is condemning ‘s not going to prosper. So I just decree that that spell that you feel like you have been under in Jesus’ name it is breaking off of you, it’s breaking off of your family today in Jesus’ name.”

Fear can cause believers to magnify what the enemy is doing until they lose sight of what God has already declared. Scripture repeatedly calls God’s people to resist the devil, stand firm in faith and recognize that the One who lives within them is greater than the one who is in the world.

Whatever has been spoken against you, prayed against you or intended for your destruction does not supersede God’s authority.

The enemy may form the weapon, but he does not determine its outcome.

So don’t allow fear of a curse, a word spoken against you or someone else’s intentions to become greater in your mind than the promises of God. Stand firmly on His Word, reject agreement with fear and remember where your authority comes from.
