8 Reasons Why Freemasonry Is a Demonic Cult
Isaiah Saldivar is sounding the alarm about Freemasonry, calling it “a demonic cult that no Christian should be involved in.”
In a recent teaching, Saldivar broke down why the teachings and rituals of the Freemasons directly oppose biblical Christianity. Here are eight reasons why Freemasonry is incompatible with the Christian faith.

1. Freemasonry Is a Religion
“Freemasonry is a religion. On this score, the evidence is overwhelming,” Saldivar said. “There’s no room for any reasonable doubt as to Freemasons being a religion.”
He pointed to Masonic writings that openly admit their system is a form of religion. According to Saldivar, this alone disqualifies it from being compatible with biblical Christianity.
2. It Promotes Idolatry
“Freemasonry is guilty of idolatry,” Saldivar explained. “They make idols out of gold and different things, and they practice idol worship.”
The Bible forbids the worship of any created thing, yet Freemasonry’s rituals and symbols, he says, lead participants into spiritual compromise and false worship.
3. Freemasonry Teaches Universalism
“They promote the heresy of universalism, which is the belief that all people eventually will be saved,” Saldivar said.
This belief contradicts Scripture’s teaching that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. “There’s a lot of writings about everyone being saved,” he added, calling it a dangerous deception.
4. It Promotes a Works-Based Salvation
According to Saldivar, the Freemasons embrace “a false hope of salvation through good works and improved moral service.”
Citing the Assemblies of God’s official position, he emphasized that salvation cannot come through secret rituals or moral improvement but only through the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
5. Freemasonry Glorifies Secrecy Instead of Fellowship
“The secrecy required of a Freemason is antithetical to Christian fellowship,” Saldivar said, referencing church statements that call the practice unbiblical.
“The Brotherhood of secret oath-bound societies is incompatible with Christ’s followers,” he quoted from the Church of the Brethren. “For Christians, secrecy of any kind is destructive of fellowship.”

6. It Corrupts the Name of God
Saldivar warned that Freemasonry “promotes false claims about the name of God.” In particular, he noted the use of the name “Jahbulon” in higher Masonic rituals.
“It’s being suggested to us that this is a description of God, which is completely opposite of what the Bible teaches,” Saldivar said.
7. It Misuses the Name of Jesus
Freemasons often include Scripture or the name of Jesus in their ceremonies—but out of context. “They frequently use the name of Jesus in the wrong context,” Saldivar said.
Quoting the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, he added, “It is no exaggeration to assert that Masons do some [of the] most serious violence to of God…”

8. It Promotes Pagan and Occult Doctrines
Perhaps the most serious concern, according to Saldivar, is Freemasonry’s reliance on occult sources. “They promote demonic texts,” he said, referencing the Southern Baptist Convention’s warning about writings by Albert Pike, Albert Mackey, Manly P. Hall and others.
“These are pagan and demonic books,” Saldivar warned, “and no Christian should be involved in any of it.”
From secretive rituals and occult texts to distorted teachings about God and salvation, every aspect of Freemasonry stands in direct opposition to Scripture. Remaining in the light of God’s Word and turning away from hidden, deceptive practices is the only way to safeguard your faith and walk fully in His truth.
