John Eckhardt Prophesies Sudden Breakthrough: ‘It Will Happen in a Day’

Apostle John Eckhardt is declaring that the long wait may be coming to an end for those who have been carrying a God-given vision, ministry, business or dream.

In a recent prophetic message, Eckhardt turned to Isaiah 66:8, focusing on the striking picture of Zion giving birth almost immediately after going into labor: “For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.”

For Eckhardt, the passage carries a prophetic message for believers who have spent months or even years praying, preparing and waiting for something God placed on their hearts to finally come forth.

“What you have been carrying, whether it’s in prayer, your burden, your vision, that you will bring it forth rapidly,” Eckhardt said. “We’re talking about this being a season of rapidity.”

But his message went beyond simply declaring that things would move quickly.

Eckhardt also gave a sobering yet powerful word: “You will not die in labor.”

Using the biblical account of Rachel, who died while giving birth to Benjamin in Genesis 35, Eckhardt compared physical childbirth with the spiritual process of bringing forth something God has placed inside a person. Rachel endured a difficult labor and died after giving birth, but Eckhardt believes this picture does not have to define what happens when believers pursue their God-given assignments.

“That vision, that dream that you have will not kill you,” Eckhardt said. “You will not die trying to bring it forth.”

He specifically directed the word toward intercessors, pastors and leaders, as well as those attempting to birth businesses and ministries. Instead of an exhausting, drawn-out struggle, Eckhardt prophesied “rapid delivery,” declaring that what believers have carried could suddenly be released.

Eckhardt also described Zion as a picture of God’s people, saying Christians are called to bring forth the dreams, visions, burdens, commissions and mandates the Lord has placed within them. That process, he said, happens through prayer, ministry and faith.

Perhaps the most striking portion of Eckhardt’s message came when he returned to the seemingly impossible language of Isaiah 66:8: “Shall a nation be born at once?”

Eckhardt believes some believers are about to see things happen at a speed they have never experienced before.

“The things that used to take you a long time, it’s going to happen in a day,” he prophesied. “I’ve never seen anybody bring forth something this quickly and this easily.”

For anyone who feels as though they have been carrying a promise far longer than expected, Eckhardt’s message is simple: Don’t assume the length of the waiting season determines the length of the birthing season.

“It’s going to happen suddenly,” he declared. “It’s going to happen quickly.”

What has taken years to carry may only need a moment for God to bring forth.
