Stop Letting the Enemy Control Your Thoughts—Kathryn Krick Shares 9 Ways to Break Free!

In a recent spiritual question and answer session, Kathryn Krick shared powerful insights on discernment, spiritual warfare and walking in God’s power. Known for her dynamic ministry and deliverance anointing, Krick answered poignant questions from viewers, offering wisdom for believers seeking to grow in purity of heart, resist the enemy’s lies and embrace God’s refining process.

1. Can discernment be perverted by jealousy?

“Absolutely,” says Krick.

When jealousy or selfish ambition taints the heart, it distorts discernment. Krick emphasizes that the Bible says, “The pure in heart shall see God,” (Matt. 5:8). This purity of heart enables believers to recognize God’s voice, His works, and the people through whom He moves. However, an impure heart—infected by pride, jealousy or hatred—creates agreement with the enemy’s deception. Maintaining purity is essential for true spiritual discernment.

2. How do we protect ourselves from being deceived by the devil’s lies?

Krick advises that we protect ourselves by rejecting impure thoughts—and choosing to align our hearts with God’s truth. By keeping our minds and spirits grounded in God’s Word, we become more adept at identifying and rejecting the lies of the enemy, which often try to infiltrate our thoughts and lead us astray.

When we ground ourselves in God’s truth, we strengthen our spiritual armor and protect ourselves from being misled.

3. What do we do when someone confidently claims to speak for God but seems off?

Some people may be deceived but genuinely believe they are speaking the truth, much like the Pharisees of Jesus’ time. Having a pure heart helps us see things clearly, allowing us to discern whether someone’s message truly aligns with God’s will.

When surrounded by people influenced by the enemy—whether in the workplace, family or social circles—Krick encouraged listeners to maintain a heart of grace. Reject the demonic influence in your mind without becoming defensive or confrontational. Guard your heart and renew your mind, staying sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

4. How do we stay Christlike during times of weakness and fatigue?

Krick acknowledges that moments of weakness and fatigue can make it hard to stay Christlike, but she reminds us to first receive God’s grace and love. It’s from that place of receiving grace that we are empowered to respond with love, even when we feel exhausted or vulnerable. Staying Christlike is not about perfection, but about continually choosing to walk in love and grace, even during the toughest moments.

5. How do I act when I know the enemy is speaking through someone around me?

Krick encourages us to reject the lies internally but to remain respectful externally. Whether it’s in the workplace, family or another setting, when you recognize that the enemy is influencing someone’s words or actions, it’s important to stand firm in the truth without reacting in anger or hostility. Internally, reject the lies; externally, maintain composure and respect.

6. Should I apologize if I’ve acted out of impure thoughts or spiritual attacks?

Krick strongly believes in the power of repentance and reconciliation. Apologizing when we’ve acted out of impure thoughts or under spiritual attack can bring healing to both ourselves and others. Apologies break the chains of spiritual lies and wounds we may have inflicted. It’s a way to restore relationships and seek peace, as we embrace God’s healing for ourselves and those around us.

7. How do I be a light in the world without being pushy or religious?

Krick encourages believers to share their faith authentically and humbly. She advises using platforms like social media to express God’s love in a way that’s gentle yet bold. Instead of being preachy or religious, simply share your personal testimony and how God has worked in your life. This authenticity resonates deeply with others and makes the gospel more relatable and approachable.

8. How do I know when to stop defending myself or the work of God?

When defending ourselves or God’s work, Krick stresses the importance of knowing when to step back. If a conversation turns into an argument or leads to strife, it’s time to stop. While it’s important to speak the truth, striving to convince others through conflict often does more harm than good. Trust that God will continue to work in people’s hearts, even if we don’t have the last word.

9. What do I do with old lies or condemning words from my past?

Krick offers powerful advice: expose those old lies, reject them in the name of Jesus, and receive the truth of who you are in Christ. The lies from our past no longer have power over us when we reject them and embrace God’s identity for us. Through this process of spiritual renewal, we can break free from the condemning words that may have held us captive for years. Our victory comes from keeping a godly perspective.

Walking in Discernment and Power

This video with Kathryn Krick offers a powerful reminder: purity of heart is the key to discerning God’s voice and resisting the enemy’s lies. As believers walk through trials, embracing the cost of discipleship, they are refined, strengthened and lifted into greater levels of influence and spiritual authority. Let us remain steadfast, walking in purity, humility and unwavering faith.

‘The Chosen’ Season 5 Will Break You: Jonathan Roumie Reveals the Scene That Shattered Him

Season 5 of The Chosen is shaping up to be the most emotionally intense yet, diving deep into Passion Week with raw, human storytelling and a reverence for the sacred moments of Jesus’ final days.

In an exclusive interview with Charisma Media, actor Jonathan Roumie (Jesus) and director Dallas Jenkins opened up about the spiritual weight and emotional depth behind this season.

When asked about the most impactful moment during filming, Roumie didn’t hesitate: “I think it was the entrance into Jerusalem… hearing the chanting of the—for the first time—you know, ‘Hosanna, Son of David…’ and thinking, like, this is what it would have been like. I was just flooded with emotion.”

Portraying Jesus in these final, intense moments didn’t just require acting chops—it required spiritual preparation.

Roumie shared how he leaned heavily on his faith to carry the role: “I did a lot of prayer… going to church and receiving the sacraments… I even brought out my spiritual director to just be with me as we shot the Last Supper… and part of the Garden of Gethsemane.”

That kind of dedication speaks volumes about the care and responsibility this cast feels in bringing the story of Christ to life.

Jenkins also pulled back the curtain on the heart of this season.

“Even though Jesus knows what’s coming, few others do,” he said. “He’s giving them these massive truth bombs throughout the whole season… ‘All right, I trust you and I know that what you’re saying must have some weight to it, but I don’t get it.’ Can you still follow? Can you still have faith? Can you still trust?”

It’s a theme every believer can relate to: faith in the face of confusion, trust when nothing makes sense.

As the show expands in scale and influence, Jenkins remains grounded: “The most important miracles… are what happens in the hearts and minds of some of the viewers.” And that’s what The Chosen is all about—taking Scripture off the page and making it personal.

Signs of Hope for Christianity in America, New Survey Finds

There are plenty of surveys swirling about faith — or lack thereof — in America, but there are some encouraging new statistics offering rays of hope.

A recently released survey from Barna Group found a majority of adults disagree with the claim the “church is not relevant in today’s world,” with 41% stating they “definitely disagree” with the sentiment and 24% saying they “somewhat disagree” with it.

It’s worth noting the remainder either “somewhat” (22%) or “definitely” (13%) agreed with the claim.

The statistics came from the latest edition of the Barna Group’s State of the Church report. The data, compiled by Barna in conjunction with Gloo, was based on interviews with 1,532 American adults between Feb. 4-26.

Beloved Pastor Lauded for ‘Giving His Life to Save the Woman He Loved’ in Horrific Accident

It’s every man’s worst nightmare and most heroic fantasy: Laying down your life to save the ones you love.

For Pastor David Lalgee, 64, it was neither nightmare nor fantasy, but a tragic reality.

Tributes are pouring in after Lalgee reportedly died after a horrific car crash on March 20, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The accident took place near the town of Swinton in Manchester, on the M60 roadway — and could have been even worse had it not been for Lalgee’s quick thinking.

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

According to the U.K.’s Daily Mail, Lalgee and his wife were driving on the M60 when a truck apparently lost control and jumped the median.

The Mail reported: “With the out-of-control truck bearing down on him, the former church minister and grandfather-of-nine braked and swerved his Volkswagen iD5 so he took the brunt of the high-speed crash – sparing Jo, his wife of six years, from certain death.”

Certain death or no, Lalgee’s wife certainly believes he saved her life.

“David saved my life,” she told the Mail. “It was a miracle that I walked away from the accident. He did everything he could to stop the lorry [British term for large trucks] from hitting me.”

Lalgee’s wife further elaborated on how calm and collected her husband was moments before the fatal accident.

“When we saw the lorry break through the central reservation, David knew exactly what was going to happen,” she recounted. “He said to me, ‘OK, here we go.’

“He maneuvered the car so that he took the full impact of the lorry. After the impact, we rolled several times.”

/**/

Lalgee’s wife further explained that she thought they were OK after the dust had sort of settled before noticing the blood coming from her husband’s head.

She claimed she was able to walk away with nothing more than a few bruised ribs, thanks to Lalgee’s sacrifice.

“The doctors did everything they could for David, but they couldn’t save him,” she noted.

An outpouring of love immediately came in for Lalgee, including some prayerful words from Rev. Franklin Graham and touching words from his daughter-in-law, Connie.

Connie, the Evening News reported, penned a touching social media post, reading, “As many of you may have already seen in the news and across social media, our beloved David tragically lost his life following a road traffic collision on the M60 last Thursday night. In his final moments, David did what he always did, he put others before himself,” she penned on social media.

Graham, meanwhile, took to both Facebook and social media platform X to lament the loss.

“This pastor was a hero,” Graham noted in a Facebook post, adding that he’s worked with Lalgee in the past, and currently works with his son-in-law.

But perhaps the poignant part of Graham’s post came when he invoked the Word of God, citing the powerful words found within John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”

And Mrs. Lalgee appears very cognizant of that “greater love,” saying, “He sacrificed his life to save mine and I’ll be forever grateful to him for that.”

Argentina to Declassify Documents on Nazis Who Fled After WWII

Argentina’s Interior Minister, Guillermo Alberto Francos, announced plans to declassify all government-held files related to Nazi fugitives who escaped to Argentina following World War II.

These documents are expected to reveal details about Nazi-linked bank accounts and the “ratlines,” the covert escape routes used by Nazis to flee Europe.

It is estimated that up to 10,000 Nazis and other war criminals evaded justice by relocating to Argentina and other Latin American countries.

Notable figures such as Adolf Eichmann, a key architect of the Holocaust, and Josef Mengele, infamously known as the “Angel of Death” for his inhumane medical experiments, found refuge in Argentina. Eichmann was captured by Israeli agents in 1960, tried, and executed in Israel. Mengele evaded capture and died in Brazil in 1979.

/**/

The declassification initiative follows a request from U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, who sought the release of these records to investigate historical Nazi-linked accounts and escape routes.

President Javier Milei has pledged full cooperation, granting access to the documents to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, renowned for its efforts in tracking down Nazi war criminals.

In 2020, documents surfaced identifying over 12,000 Nazis who resided in Argentina during the 1930s and held bank accounts at what is now Credit Suisse. These files were discovered in a former Nazi headquarters in Buenos Aires.

Argentina’s decision to open these archives represents a significant step toward transparency and accountability regarding its historical role in providing sanctuary to Nazi fugitives.

The forthcoming documents are anticipated to shed light on the extent of Nazi infiltration in Argentina and the mechanisms that facilitated their escape from Europe.

Greg Laurie: ‘House of David’ Isn’t Just Good TV, It’s an Evangelistic Opportunity

There’s a new show on Amazon Prime that’s turning heads, and not just among Christians.

House of David, a dramatic retelling of the biblical accounts of Saul and David from 1 Samuel, is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about faith-based series of the year. But for Pastor Greg Laurie, it’s more than entertainment. It’s a tool for revival.

In an interview with The Christian Post, Laurie shared why he believes the show’s release is such a big deal: “I think this is one of the greatest evangelistic opportunities in recent history,” he said. “Millions of people through House of David and The Chosen are hearing Bible stories for the first time.”

Laurie, pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship and founder of the Harvest Crusades, served as a consultant on the series and even released a 30-day devotional to go along with it. He also produced a companion documentary titled Beyond the House of David, which dropped the same day the show premiered.

“This is a way to bring the stories of the Bible to the largest audience we’ve ever been able to reach,” Laurie said. And with the show already ranked No. 2 on Amazon Prime, that reach is massive.

Laurie isn’t shy about his hopes for the impact of the show.

“If it inspires people who’ve never read the Bible before or have no relationship with God to want to know more, then this is something we should be celebrating, not critiquing.”

/**/

Of course, any time biblical stories hit the screen, there’s bound to be criticism about creative liberties. Laurie gets it. “In the first episode of House of David, David is wounded by a javelin thrown by Goliath. People say, ‘That never happened in the Bible.’ But the Bible is not a movie script. It’s the inspired Word of God. When you tell it as a story, filmmakers may take certain liberties.”

Still, Laurie leaves us with a clear message: don’t let the show replace your Bible, let it lead you to it. “Their hope is you’ll watch the show and then go read the Bible.”

We live in a time when media often promotes confusion, Laurie sees House of David as part of the solution. “Social media has amplified many of the problems we’re facing today,” he said. “But everything we need to know about life is found in the Bible.”

And for those wondering what to do with this moment? Laurie has a challenge: “Invite neighbors over. Invite nonbelievers over. Watch an episode and talk about it afterwards.”

House of David is now streaming on Amazon Prime. If Laurie’s right, it may be more than just another series — it might be the start of something bigger.

Israeli ‘Chosen’ Star Demands Action Against Hamas as Hostages Remain: ‘Dagger in Our Heart’

Shahar Isaac, who portrays Simon Peter in “The Chosen,” traded his sandals for military boots last year. Now back in the U.S., he’s raising his voice for his fellow Israelis still held hostage by Hamas.

“To be honest, it’s something that’s hard to talk about,” Isaac told CBN News at the season five premiere of “The Chosen.” “[I]t’s a dagger in our heart, and the wound is still open.”

The 32-year-old actor missed the season four premiere of “The Chosen” because he was called into reserve duty for the Israel Defense Forces. Dressed in black in Dallas, Texas, last week, Isaac gestured to a yellow ribbon on his lapel, which, he said, “represents the fact that we still have hostages that we are waiting for [rescue].”

The Israeli-born star condemned the “horrors” the hostages have endured.

Isaac’s comments came just days before Hamas released a propaganda video of two hostages — Elkana Bohbot and Yosef-Haim Ohana — captured by the terrorist group more than 535 days ago.

Persecution Is Rising Now, And It’s Closer Than You Think

Jeff King has been on the front lines of religious persecution for more than two decades. As president of International Christian Concern, he’s seen the pain, the loss, and the quiet strength of those who refuse to renounce their faith, no matter the cost.

But according to ICC’s 2025 Global Persecution Index, the crisis facing Christians today is getting worse, not better.

“The main killing ground for Christians isn’t North Korea — it’s Nigeria,” King told The Christian Post. King explains that “radical Islamists have driven Christians out of the North, pushing them further into the middle belt, which is the agricultural heartland. Militants raid villages, killing and displacing entire communities. It’s a stealth jihad, a massive land grab.”

Despite the growing international attention, the Nigerian government continues to fall short. “They claim they can’t find the attackers, but it’s a deep-state issue,” King said. “The security apparatus is controlled by radical elements, and the military often turns a blind eye — or worse, intervenes against Christian self-defense efforts.”

Breaking NewsSpirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

And the crisis isn’t contained to Nigeria. King warns that what’s happening across Africa’s Sahel region is nothing short of a disaster. “It’s like ISIS has taken over a whole region,” he said. “And because these areas are so remote, there’s little that can be done to stop it.” Even in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Christians are facing horrific violence with little international outcry.

ICC, founded in 1995, exists to do three things: “Advocacy, awareness and assistance,” as King puts it. “We’re on the ground in some of the most dangerous places, providing direct aid, rebuilding churches and supporting believers who have lost everything. But we also work behind the scenes, leveraging international pressure to push governments toward justice.”

That behind-the-scenes work can yield powerful results. King shared one story from North Africa where Evangelical pastors were threatened with prison and steep fines.

ICC flew one of the leaders to Washington, D.C., where he met with U.S. lawmakers. The effect? Immediate. “They called the pastors back in and said, ‘We know someone is talking in Washington. We’re all on the same team here. You don’t need to go to Washington; just come to us,’” King recalled. “That’s the kind of impact a well-placed conversation can have.”

/**/

King also offered a sobering look at what’s driving much of this modern-day persecution: radical Islam. “The Saudis positioned themselves as the guardians of Islam, pouring billions into spreading their strict ideology,” he said. “They funded radical mosques, educational institutions, and militant groups. We’re still fighting the consequences today.”

While the brutality is real and the suffering is great, King also sees a powerful paradox playing out: where persecution grows, so does the Church. “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church,” he said. Nowhere is that more visible than in Iran. “The Ayatollahs came in with a vision to spread Islam across the world, but what’s happened instead? The people have rejected it. They’ve seen the brutality of a religious regime, and now the church is exploding,” King said. “Iran is probably the fastest-growing Christian movement in the world right now.”

This isn’t a new pattern. As King put it, “When persecution intensifies, the Church often grows stronger. That doesn’t make the suffering any less real, but it does remind us that God is at work.”

Still, for many Christians in the West, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and helpless when hearing about global persecution. King encourages action, not apathy. “First, follow the issue,” he said. “Understand what’s happening so you can be an advocate. Call your elected officials. Demand action.” He pointed to organizations like ICC and that give people the tools to engage, donate, and campaign for justice.

Get your FREE CHARISMA NEWSLETTERS today! Stay up-to-date with current issues, Holy Spirit news, Christian teachings, Charisma videos & more!

But perhaps his most profound reminder was this: “This isn’t just about helping others; it’s about learning from them,” King said. “The persecuted church has so much to teach us about faith, resilience and dependence on God. They are getting their doctorate in Christianity. If you want to grow, follow their stories.”

That’s the part many of us miss. The persecuted aren’t just victims; they are witnesses. Their stories, their strength, their endurance — these things are lessons for us all.

King’s final encouragement rings true for believers in every corner of the world: “Their suffering is not wasted. And neither is ours. God uses trials — whether persecution or personal hardship — to draw us closer to Him. We can’t stop all persecution, but we can stand with those who suffer. And sometimes, that makes all the difference.”

The truth is, persecution is a certainty in the Christian life. Scripture is clear: “All who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution” (2 Tim. 3:12). But while many of our brothers and sisters around the world have counted the cost and stood firm, far too many in the West remain unprepared to do the same.

Our faith must be deeper than comfort. If the day comes when we’re asked to suffer for it, will we be ready?

For Christians, the Bible Has Made This Abundantly Clear: Pray for Israel and Act Accordingly

It’s no secret that these are challenging times for the Middle East. Jews, Christians and other religious minorities face discrimination and extermination. There are things we can do as Christians—things we must do—here and now.

One of the clearest instructions we find in Scripture is the call to bless the Jewish people and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. This is not just a suggestion or a passing remark—it is a divine command, woven throughout the Bible. It’s a spiritual calling and a plan of action.

Psalm 122:6 tells us to “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you.’” This isn’t mere poetry; it’s prophetic instruction. God invites His people to align their hearts with His purposes. When we pray for Jerusalem, we stand with the people through whom God gave us the patriarchs, the prophets and ultimately, Jesus Christ.

Breaking News. Spirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

Genesis 12:3 makes this even clearer when God speaks to Abraham, saying, “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you.” This promise is not confined to Abraham’s lifetime. It extends to his descendants, the Jewish people. When we choose to bless Israel—whether through prayer, financial support or boldly standing against antisemitism—we bring blessing into our lives.

God takes this personally. When we bless His people, we invite His blessing into our homes, churches and communities.

Why is this so significant? Jerusalem holds a unique place in God’s redemptive plan for humanity. The city is not just a time capsule of ancient life and a hub for today’s devotees of Abrahamic tradition; it is the spiritual epicenter of our world. Jesus walked its streets, healed its people and wept over its condition. It is the city to which He will one day return. Isaiah 62:6-7 calls us to be “watchmen on the walls,” continually lifting up the city before the Lord until He establishes her in peace and righteousness.

While it’s true that we are called to serve and love all people, God has established Israel as a spiritual signpost for the entire world. Romans 11 reminds us that we as Christians have been “grafted in” to the olive tree of God’s people. Our spiritual heritage is intertwined with theirs. The Bible warns us against arrogance, reminding us that we do not support the root—the root supports us (see Romans 11:18).

Jesus Himself modeled this love for Israel. He spent His earthly ministry among the Jewish people, declaring the fulfillment of God’s promises and extending His hand of salvation. When we bless Israel, we are following in His footsteps. We demonstrate our gratitude for the rich spiritual heritage we have inherited through God’s covenant with Abraham.

But blessing Israel is not just about what we receive in return—it’s about aligning our hearts with God’s. When we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, we are praying for God’s redemptive plan to unfold in the world. We are praying for families to be restored, for communities to be healed and for His kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven. As the last few years have tragically shown, the peace of Jerusalem is deeply connected to the peace of the world. As the spiritual heartbeat of the earth, Jerusalem’s destiny shapes global events in ways we cannot always see.

We can bless Israel in several ways. First, we can commit to consistent, intentional prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. Let this be more than a fleeting thought—make it a discipline. Pray for the leaders of Israel, for the safety of its people and for God’s protection over the land.

Second, we can actively support ministries that serve the Jewish people and strengthen their communities. Whether through humanitarian aid, outreach programs or financial contributions, our investment in God’s chosen people echoes throughout eternity. Our congregation and our global partners have chosen to support the people of Israel by investing in the Northern Galilee Emergency Hospital, and by donating for the construction of 800 safe houses throughout the Eshkol region as well.

Finally, we can—we must—stand firmly against antisemitism. Jew-hatred in all of its forms continues to rise worldwide, and as believers, we are called to be voices of truth and love. Refuse to be silent. We must defend our Jewish brothers and sisters, recognizing this hour of great need for their peace and their safety. Earlier this year, we were blessed to host family members of some of the remaining Jewish hostages in Gaza, to allow them time to share their stories, to pray with them, and plead for their release. By God’s grace, their family members, Keith Siegel and Romi Gonen, are now safely home.

These are just a few examples of the myriad ways to let your faith lead you to respond. However you choose to live out your faith and bless Israel, back your blessings with actions.

Amanda Grace: Is Passover the Key to a Divine Shift?

Are we about to see something huge take place in both America and around the world during Passover?

In a recent livestream, prophetic voice Amanda Grace discussed how the Lord is moving with precision and power, echoing the biblical days of Ezra in current unfolding events.

Breaking News. Spirit-Filled Stories. Subscribe to Charisma on YouTube now!

Grace believes we are in a season of decrees and dismantling, where the Lord is exposing corruption, excavating hidden records and forcing the wicked to pay for the restoration of what they sought to destroy. This, she believes, echoes the book of Ezra, where after years of opposition, King Darius issued a decree that not only resumed the rebuilding of God’s temple but also commanded that the corrupt adversaries who sought to stop the work fund the project with their own tax money (Ezra 6:8). Grace believes this same principle is at work today, as misappropriated funds and corrupt wealth are being exposed and redirected toward restoring righteousness.

Part of this time of dismantling corruption, she believes, will parallel directly with Passover and the nation of Iran. Right now, she is prophesying that Iran’s leadership will face removal around Passover, as the Lord brings down wicked regimes.

“I believe Iran is going to be tempted to make a very foolish move closer to Passover,” Grace says. “That will cause a cornerstone of their leadership to be removed.”

Not only could Iran see major shifts coming, but with the recent discussions around the Panama Canal and the United States’ ability to gain greater control of it, Grace is also highlighting it as a coming major area of geopolitical shaking.

In this moment, God is raising up voices and leadership to stand against the adversaries and push forward His plans. Whether it’s through the dismantling of corrupted systems or the rebuilding of God-ordained institutions, the world is witnessing the fulfillment of prophetic promises. As we move closer to Passover and beyond, the stage is set for a great shift, and God’s people are called to boldly step into their destiny, watching the enemy’s works fall and God’s kingdom rise.

Now, more than ever, is a time to heed prophetic warnings and watch for God’s hand moving in ways that will change the course of nations.
