Returned hostages Keith Siegel, Tal Shoham and Yarden Bibas were recently interviewed on the CBS News program “60 Minutes.” For Bibas, it was his first interview since his release from Hamas captivity in Gaza. 

Bibas, whose wife Shiri and two young sons were murdered by Hamas during captivity, gave his first interview to an American network, hoping that former U.S. President Donald Trump would listen and take action to help secure the release of the remaining hostages.

“If you could say something to President Trump, what would you say?” show host Lesley Stahl asked Bibas. 

“Please stop, stop this war, and help bring all the hostages back,” Bibas responded.

When asked if he believes Trump can help, Bibas answered, “I know he can help.”

“I am here because of Trump. I am here only because of him,” he emphasized. “I think he’s the only one who can stop this war again. He has to convince Netanyahu to convince Hamas. I think he can do it.” 

Bibas wore a t-shirt with the images of his best friends from childhood – David Cunio, and David’s younger brother, Ariel, who are still being held hostage in Gaza.

He told Stahl that he does not believe the renewed fighting will bring the hostages back. 

Bibas described being held underground during the Israeli ground campaign and the bombings over the course of the war. 

“It’s scary. You don’t know when [the Israeli strikes] it’s going to happen. And when it happens, you’re afraid for your life,” Bibas said. “The whole earth would move – like an earthquake, but underground, so everything could collapse any moment.”

Bibas was captured and held separately from his wife, Shiri, and two sons, Ariel and Kfir. He was forced to record a video while Hamas terrorists told him that they had been killed in an airstrike. 

After his release from captivity, Yarden,who had spent months uncertain whether his family was still alive,was devastated to learn the truth: his family had been murdered by Hamas.

“They were all murdered in cold blood, bare hands,” Bibas explained. “They [Hamas] used to tell me, ‘Oh, doesn’t matter. You’ll get a new wife. Get new kids. Better wife. Better kids.’” 

Yarden also expressed his concern for Cunio and his brother Ariel, especially since the fighting resumed.

“They’re both still in captivity, and I don’t know if they have enough food, enough water, especially now when the war is back on,” Bibas said. 

Bibas and Cunio have been best friends since the first grade. 

“We did everything together,” he remarked. “He was with me in every big thing in my life. He was in my wedding.” 

“Now I’m having probably the hardest thing I have to move [through] with my life, and David is not with me,” Bibas lamented. 

“I lost my wife and kids. Sharon [David Cunio’s wife] must not lose her husband,” Bibas stated.

In addition to Bibas, Keith and Aviva Siegel also spoke to “60 Minutes.”

The Siegels were living on Kibbutz Kfar Aza, near the border with Gaza, when they were kidnapped from their home on Oct. 7, 2023. They were kidnapped into Gaza and held together for 51 days until Aviva was released during the hostage-ceasefire deal at the end of November 2023.

“We were driven into Gaza and then taken into a tunnel, feeling in danger, feeling life-threatened, terrorists around us with weapons,” Keith said. 

He described witnessing abuse and torture during his captivity. 

“I witnessed a young woman who was being tortured by the terrorists. I mean literal torture, not just in the figurative sense.”

“I saw sexual assault with female hostages,” Keith continued, stating that Hamas terrorists forced him to watch.

He also noted that the treatment of the remaining hostages worsened after the first ceasefire ended.

“The terrorists became very mean and very cruel and very violent, much more so. They were beating me and starving me,” he shared. 

When asked whether his starvation was intentional deprivation or due to a general lack of food, Keith said he was deliberately starved.

“They would often eat in front of me and not offer me food,” he explained. 

Siegel described how he was only given half a bucket of water per month to bathe with, and how the terrorists shaved his head to humiliate him. 

“I think they thought it, it amused them, or, you know, humiliated [us],” he said. “I felt humiliated.” 

Former Israeli hostage Tal Shoham, who was held together with hostages Evytar David and Guy Gilboa-Dalal, spoke about his time in captivity with them.

He detailed daily beatings, cramped conditions in the tunnels, and meager rations of food. 

“You can eat only one [piece of] bread every day, and have like 200 ml of water every day, and you will stay alive,” Shoham said. 

He explained that one of the Hamas guards told them they could stay alive for up to five years on such paltry amounts. 

“The main guard, he actually said, ‘I can bring you this kind of amount of food and you will survive and you will keep like that for five years and you won’t die,’” he related. 

Shoham, David, and Gilboa-Dalal discovered that one of the guards liked to have back massages, which they used to barter for better food rations. 

Shoham noted that both of the young men struggled with depression during their captivity and even discussed suicide with him. 

“They told me more than once, ‘Why stay alive now?’ I mean, why not just take their own life with their own hands and finish it and get released from it,’” he recounted. 

“They are not children, but from time to time, I felt like a father to them,” Shoham shared. 

“They are children,” said the father of Guy Gilboa-Dalal. 

“I really fear that they are now alone,” Shoham fretted. 

Like Bibas, Shoham and the families of David and Gilboa-Dalal said they agreed to the 60 Minutes interview because “maybe someone would hear it and he will save our sons.”

The stories coming out of Myanmar and Thailand are nothing short of heart-wrenching. A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck the two nations last Friday, leaving more than 2,000 people dead and thousands more injured or missing.

Among the tragic accounts: a monastery crushed with 200 Buddhist monks inside; a preschool flattened with 50 children and their teachers trapped beneath the rubble. This isn’t just a natural disaster, it’s a human catastrophe layered upon years of political instability, war and suffering.

The devastation has compounded the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Myanmar, as reported by the Associated Press.

Relief efforts have been slowed by everything from destroyed roads and fuel shortages to a lack of heavy machinery. In some places, desperate locals are digging through debris with their bare hands under punishing heat.

Entire towns have been flattened. Mosques collapsed during Friday prayers, killing hundreds more. And even now, many remote areas remain unreachable, meaning the death toll will likely climb higher in the days ahead.

What makes this tragedy even more painful is that Myanmar was already in crisis. Civil war had displaced over 3 million people before the quake struck. Aid organizations were struggling to provide food, medicine and shelter amid armed conflict and limited access.

Now, with over 10,000 buildings damaged or destroyed, hospitals in ruins and monsoon season around the corner, the need for immediate international support is overwhelming.

Nations like India, China, Russia and several Western countries have stepped in with aid, but the road to recovery will be long and steep. Survivors are sleeping outdoors, terrified of aftershocks and searching for loved ones buried beneath concrete.

In nearby Bangkok, the earthquake claimed lives as well, including 18 people at a collapsed construction site, with dozens still missing.

In moments like this, we’re reminded how fragile life is, and how important it is to stand in solidarity with those who are hurting.

Please take a moment to pray for the people of Myanmar. Pray for those who’ve lost loved ones, for the children and families left homeless and for the rescuers still searching through the rubble. They need hope, healing and help, and they need it now.

Yes, you read that right, Disney just introduced its “first ever Christian character.” But before you celebrate, you might want to take a closer look at what’s really going on.

In a recent video, content creator Taylor Alesia doesn’t hold back in calling out what she believes is spiritual deception in disguise. “Don’t get too excited like I did,” she says, “because in this video we’re going to expose what’s really going on here.”

Alesia’s concerns center around the new Disney+ series Win or Lose, which opens with a Christian character named Lori. At first glance, the episode seems faith-friendly. Lori prays, saying, “Dear heavenly Father, please give me strength. I have faith but sometimes the doubt creeps in. I promise I’ll be good and I, uh, won’t do that thing again. Not sure where you stand on it, but I won’t do it.”

Sounds promising, right? Even Alesia admits, “This actually seems like a really good episode… that I can get on board with.”

But then the mood takes a sharp turn.

“What a switch,” she says, describing the scene that followed. “We hear some heaven-like music… and it cuts to—what do you know—tarot cards.” She continues, “You can clearly see this mother using tarot cards at the table.”

Alesia was stunned. “My jaw was on the floor.”

For her, this wasn’t just a creative misstep. It was a red flag.

“This is darkness with a little bit of Jesus sprinkled on top of it,” she warns. “This is designed for those that are lukewarm, for those that do not know biblical knowledge… and who is this show designed for? It’s designed for children.”

That’s the heart of her concern—that parents will see a Christian character and assume the content is safe. But Alesia believes this is part of a broader trend. “As of late, this seems to be the devil’s bait—calling something light that isn’t.”

There are a few moments in the episode that push back on new age ideas. When Lori’s mom offers her a crystal, Lori replies, “No worries. I don’t need your rocks, Mom, because I rock.” Alesia said she appreciated the intent, but adds, “A better response would be, ‘I don’t need your rocks because I know the One who created the rocks.’”

And it doesn’t end there. Alesia also pointed out that Win or Lose originally included a character named Kai, who was reportedly intended to be transgender before Disney removed that identity from the show. While some might see that as a win for conservative viewers, Alesia isn’t convinced. “It’s still there. It’s just hidden… and to be honest, it’s not hidden that well.”

She also flagged the final episode’s inclusion of a same-sex love interest as further proof of the show’s conflicting messages. “The very first episode of this show was a Christian episode, and the very last one is the complete opposite of the Bible.”

For Alesia, this isn’t about nitpicking cartoons. It’s about spiritual warfare. “This new age stuff and this witchcraft stuff is really what our war is against… the devil is doing everything he can to influence children and adults to dabble with the new age, including Christians.”

Alesia urges Christians to pay attention and not take things at face value. “Discernment is going to be one of the most fundamental tools that Christians need the closer we get to Christ’s return,” she says.

In other words, don’t just celebrate representation. Look deeper. Not everything with a cross on it is pointing to Christ.

The Spirit of Antichrist in a Post-Christian World

Cahn warns that the most dangerous societies are not pagan ones but those that once knew God and turned away. The West, once a bastion of Christianity, now leads in moral corruption, pushing an agenda that mirrors biblical warnings of the last days. Just as Antiochus Epiphanes defiled the Temple, a future Antichrist will rise to deceive the nations.

The prophetic implication for America, as Cahn elaborates, is profound. As the nation moves further from its Christian roots, this sets the stage for a world order that will welcome the Antichrist—an individual who will present himself as a global savior, much like past false messiahs in history. Cahn also draws attention to the fact that such a culture of rebellion is not merely a spiritual issue but also a societal one that affects every aspect of life, from politics to family structure.

Prophecy Unfolding Before Our Eyes

From the push to rebuild the Jewish Temple to the deception of false messiahs, the signs of the end are converging. For the remnant of believers, these are not days of fear but of preparation. The Trump administration truly is standing up for righteousness and faith to come back to America again.

Last year, the Biden administration did perhaps the most ghastly thing they could: declared Easter 2024 as a holiday marked for ‘Transgender Day of Visibility.’ At the time, the former White House administration even put out a statement that it was a day to “honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans.”

Now under the Trump administration, the president has moved in an entirely different direction than Biden, declaring that “There are only two genders, male and female.” Trump also signed a ban on transgender athletes in women’s sports, bringing back safety and fairness to females who have had to unjustly compete against biological men.

The difference between these two administrations couldn’t be more stark. One openly embraced the demise of gender and the unique contributions that men and women each give to society, while the other is defending the image in which God created us. While the mainstream media will still set out to make this defense of male and female as a negative thing, we have been given a chance to get back to the biblical and biological basics of what we each were made to be.

The Biden administration embraced moral confusion, disregarding the divine image in which humanity was created. In contrast, the Trump administration is upholding biblical principles, safeguarding the distinctions between men and women as ordained by God. This shift offers hope to Christians who have been praying for a return to righteousness in the nation—a glimmer of light in the battle for America’s soul.

As Christians, let’s not only celebrate the restoration of godly values in America, but let’s continue to pray for those who are genuinely struggling with gender confusion. Many are deeply deceived by the lies of the culture, battling identity crises and inner turmoil. Pray that they would receive the healing and deliverance only Christ can bring to their lives.

In a world that often feels upside down, it’s rare to see a moment of stillness and reverence in the midst of the chaos—especially in the public square. But that’s exactly what happened at a recent town hall in Wisconsin hosted by Elon Musk. What started as a political and cultural conversation turned into something profoundly spiritual.

A man stood up during the event and shared his admiration for Musk, thanking him for standing firm under immense pressure. Then, with humility, he asked if his father—a pastor—could pray over Elon.

Musk agreed.

And then came a moment that caught the crowd off guard in the best possible way. The pastor, with calm sincerity, offered a prayer not just for Musk, but for the entire nation:

“Gracious heavenly Father, we are thankful for our country. We are thankful that God does bless America and that God is the source of all goodness, love and provision, and that You, Lord God, have provided a great nation with great history.

And although we’ve gone through many rough times, You’re still very present and active with us.

Thank You for protecting President Trump from that fatal attack, and we ask that You envelop and protect all of those who are fighting for justice, for freedom, for order, for dignity and to reward people according to merit.

And especially put your hedge of protection around Elon Musk, around his children, around his whole entire family and all of his team members—that all would do good and just by our country, and freedom truth and justice would reign once again.

We ask this in the name of the blessed Savior Jesus Christ, who we remember during this time of year—who suffered and died for our sins.

May You wash away all that is wrong with our country and start with us.

We ask this in Jesus’ name, amen.”

The crowd responded with heartfelt applause, clearly moved. And Elon, visibly touched, simply said:

“Well, that was beautiful. It’s, uh—I think we’re going to need divine protection, frankly.”

In a nation so often divided by politics, power and ideology, this moment is a powerful reminder: we’re not just in a political battle—we’re in a spiritual one. And whether or not Elon Musk sees himself as a man of faith, he was willing to receive prayer from someone who is.

That alone speaks volumes.

Now more than ever, we need to be lifting up our leaders in prayer—whether we agree with them or not. We’re called to do so (1 Tim. 2:1–2). We’re reminded that the real fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces at work behind the scenes (Eph. 6:12).

So let’s take a cue from that humble Wisconsin pastor and pray for Elon Musk, for President Trump and for all those in leadership of our country.

At the relatively young age of 27, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt approaches the podium with confidence and a smile. Don’t let her age fool you, though. She has proved to be unflappable and, as those in the press room can attest, her approach is no-nonsense and fearless.

When recently facing a reporter who tried to tout his personal ideas about the impact of tariffs, she replied, “I think it’s insulting that you’re trying to test my knowledge of economics and the decisions that this president has made.”

In our one-on-one sit-down, Leavitt told CBN News how she draws that strength immediately before each briefing. 

“I think that team prayer before is just a moment to be silent and still and ask God for confidence and the ability to articulate my words, knowledge, prayer, protection and it is a nice moment to reset. It’s the last thing I do before I go out there, and then it just gives me the confidence to do a briefing,” she says.

She wouldn’t even be in her current job, however, without bumps along the way. She ran for Congress in 2022 and lost the general election.

“Well, certainly, God has a plan for everyone. I believe that firmly…” she says. “So God knew what He was doing, I believe, and you just have to trust the process and trust that He’s working in your life, and stay grounded in your faith throughout the way.” 

She leans on that faith inside the briefing room as questions come fast and furious from all directions. But Leavitt says she’s ready for what’s coming. “Often, the questions are predictable.”

With liberal reporters everywhere in the press briefing room, it begs the question: Is political journalism dead in America today?

“I think there are true journalists out there that still exist,” she says. “They are few and far between. I think many people in the briefing room here are trying out for their next big I think the media has had to take a look in the mirror, especially after President Trump’s resounding victory on November 5th, and the American public sent a very strong message to the anti-Trump media that we don’t listen to you.” 

Legacy media often still push back. New York Times Reporter Peter Baker has complained that outlets are losing direct access to the president if they print something the White House doesn’t like.

“That is utter fallacy and completely ridiculous,” Leavitt says. “We have expanded the pool to new voices, independent journalists, podcasters, social media content creators, while continuing to invite legacy media outlets like the one Peter Baker works for. The New York Times are still in the briefing room, still have access to the press pool and we are going to continue to move forward with this method.” 

She also sees a much larger fight taking place: the one between good and evil.

“I certainly believe in spiritual warfare. And I think I saw it firsthand, especially throughout the campaign trail with President Trump. And I think there certainly were evil forces. And I think that the president was saved by the grace of God on July 13th in Butler, Pennsylvania, and he’s in this moment for a reason.”

When you hear the words “ancient aliens,” “megaliths” or “book of Enoch,” you probably imagine late-night History Channel specials or YouTube rabbit holes.

But when The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles sat down with explorer and author Timothy Alberino, the conversation took a sharp turn into territory few mainstream thinkers dare to tread—yet it was grounded in something surprisingly familiar: the Bible.

What unfolded wasn’t a fringe conspiracy rant. It was a deep, often theologically rooted dive into what Alberino believes is a forgotten or suppressed history of the world—one that involves giants, pre-flood civilizations, demons, and yes, aliens.

The ideas are bold, the claims controversial, but the conversation was compelling, and at times, unsettling in how closely ancient myths line up across the globe.

Here’s a breakdown of the key topics they explored:

1. The Bible as a Guide to the Ancient World
“I come from a biblical paradigm… because I’ve been entirely convinced that the gospel of Christ is true,” Alberino states. Rather than dismiss mythologies and anomalies in archaeology, he uses the Bible—especially Genesis and the apocryphal book of Enoch—as a framework for understanding a much older and more complex human history than what academia often acknowledges.

2. Megalithic Structures and Lost Civilizations
Standing before the megalithic walls in Peru, Alberino was struck by how “some of these stones… weigh in excess of 250 to 300 tons and they were quarried some 10 to 20 miles away.” The mainstream view attributes them to the Inca, but Alberino insists, “they did not build the megaliths.” Instead, he points to a pre-flood civilization with architectural capabilities far beyond what we assume for ancient man.

3. The Global Flood and Ancient Cataclysms
The great flood isn’t just a biblical tale. “All of the ancient cultures around the world have a ubiquitous testimony of cataclysm,” he notes, suggesting these stories align with the biblical flood and point to a shared memory of global disaster.

4. Giants, the Watchers and the Nephilim
Genesis 6 is often glossed over, but Alberino highlighted its central importance: “The sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were comely and they decided to take wives.” According to the book of Enoch, this union produced giants—“The Offspring of God and man”—which Alberino claims are referenced in mythologies around the world, including Atlantis.

5. What Demons Really Are
In a striking redefinition, Alberino says, “In the ancient Hebrew cosmology… a demon was the disembodied spirit of a giant.” He pointed to Jesus’ encounter with the Gerasene demoniac as confirmation: “Why have you come to judge us before the appointed time?”

6. Myth as Encrypted Knowledge
Alberino sees mythology not as fantasy, but encrypted science: “A myth is like a zipped folder. For the laypeople… we think of these myths and legends in a different way than they think of them. They know how to decrypt the myths and extract the knowledge.”

7. Aliens, UFOs and Whistleblowers
Addressing the growing reports of non-human craft and biologicals, Alberino says, “UFOs of nonhuman origin have crashed, have been recovered, including the bodies of the pilots.” While some Christians default to calling aliens “demons,” Alberino warns against oversimplifying. “Aliens are not demons. That’s definitionally wrong.”

8. Transhumanism and the Image of God
Perhaps the most theologically urgent point: “If we cease to be man, that means we forfeit our candidacy for salvation in the cross of Christ.” Alberino sees the push toward AI, genetic modification and post-human evolution as the culmination of a Satanic deception: “You shall be like the gods.”

9. Mars and the Return of the ‘Gods’
He even suggests humanity may soon discover ancient ruins on Mars: “We’re going to discover the ruinous remains of a remarkable civilization… and the narrative surrounding that is going to be very deceptive.”

These are big claims, no doubt. They challenge both mainstream science and much of the comfortable theology we’ve settled into. But we live in a world increasingly shaped by technology, and as ancient questions resurface through modern discoveries, it’s worth considering: what if the stories were true—not just in metaphor, but in history?
