During a recent interview with Fox News host Kaleigh McEnany, Pratt spoke openly about his faith and the role it plays in his decisions. He also credited his wife, Heidi Montag, for helping strengthen his relationship with Jesus.

âMy wife is very connected with Jesus,â Pratt said, adding that she brought him âinto the light.â
Pratt said he has learned to place his campaign in Godâs hands.
âItâs been very empowering to just pray and just be on his path, and just say, âGod, if you want me to save these animals, save these humans, and protect my city, just keep putting me in the place where I can do that,’â Pratt said. âAnd, if itâs not Godâs plan, it wonât happen and I wonât have that pressure and that burden on my heart that I now feel because I am so close to being able to do it.â

Pratt also described relying on prayer before participating in a recent mayoral debate. He admitted he had been nervous because he had never acted as a politician before.
âI had to say, âGod, if you want this for me, please just have me destroy them live on tv,ââ Pratt said. âAnd, I walked off that stage, and this young high school kid came right up to me, he said, âThank you, sir, for being the only one that told the truth up there on the stage.ââ
Pratt said, âFor me, when I set out on this mission, it was just to get the truth at the highest platform I could, thatâs all I ever thought I was going to be able to do.â
