Mysterious Creature Terrorizes New Hampshire Community in Bizarre Attacks
Something strange is on the loose in New Hampshire, and authorities still aren’t entirely sure what they’re looking for.
Three attacks involving what appears to be the same wild animal have been reported in the Centerra Park area of Lebanon since Aug. 30, according to WMUR.
Authorities, however, have not personally encountered the animal and cannot confirm its species.
One particularly bizarre encounter was captured on surveillance video.
WMUR reported that Zack Howard of Enfield had just stepped out of a moving truck near Centerra Parkway when he felt something take a nip at his heel. The animal charged him, grabbed his bag, and later bit his foot before attaching itself to his leg.

Howard eventually kicked the creature away.
“The way just it looked with the tail and kind of that orange underbelly, it was 100% a fox in my mind,” Howard told WMUR.
The bite did not draw blood, but Howard told the outlet that the animal’s teeth punctured his shoe. He subsequently underwent multiple rabies shots.
And that abnormal aggression is exactly what has authorities concerned.
New Hampshire Fish and Game Lt. James Kneeland also told WMUR such aggression “wouldn’t be normal for a healthy wild animal.”
Authorities are warning anyone who encounters an aggressive wild animal to keep their distance and contact the police or Fish and Game.
