Mike Bickle Shares Why King David’s Prophetic Words Have Special Relevance for Modern-Day Crisis

Cancel culture is all over the news these days—as it should be. More and more Christians have found themselves the target of the social media powers that be who delete them, block them or shadow ban them in an effort to remove legitimacy and credibility from their platform.

Mike Bickle says believers shouldn’t be surprised by this state of affairs because David prophesied it in Psalm 2. In fact, Bickle wrote a book about it: God’s Answer to the Growing Crisis.

“There are two different categories of crisis,” Bickle says. “There’s external crisis, which [includes] economic problems, weather, earthquakes, social unrest, etc., etc. That’s not the crisis I’m talking about, though I believe that crisis is increasing.”

What Bickle says he’s referring to is the spiritual crisis David prophesied in Psalm 2 when he mentions the “kings of the earth.” “There would be a time, David said 3,000 years ago … where the kings of the earth would work together to drive the influence of the Word of God out of the culture,” Bickle says.
