End-Times Warning: Tech Industry Praises Human Microchipping

Representatives of the global mainstream media and major players in the telecommunications industry are cheering the latest technological advance that seems to come straight from the pages of the book of Revelation.

At the end of Monday’s presentations at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, the TruNews team attended an event that was billed by organizers as:

Time for some Biohacking! The future of the human species is here. Join us as we create a human “cyborg” in front of your eyes! We will implant an RFID chip into the hand of a willing subject and test its functionality! We will talk about the future of biohacking and human modification and how this will effect [sic] our lives in the long run. What is going on in the world of biohacking right now? What can YOU do to biohack yourself? What does the future of biohacking entail?

The event was moderated by Sanderson Jones, a comedian and founder and CEO of Sunday Assembly, which he describes as “something that [is] like church but totally secular and inclusive of all—no matter what they believed”—in essence, a “church” for atheists. He was joined on stage by:

• Edgar Pons Forn, founder of Nanoboost, a company “focused on neuroscience and biohacking through supplementation to improve human capabilities.”

• Ghislaine Boddington, co-founder of body>data>space, a company that aims to blend humans’ “virtual and physical bodies” in which each person has a “multi-self” in an “internet of bodies” that have had their senses “hyper-enhanced” with technology.

• Alex Rodriguez Vitello, a theoretical physicist and member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Futures Council.

Before the microchip implantation took place, Vitello asked the audience how many would volunteer to have the procedure done on themselves, sight unseen. Nearly a quarter of those in the room raised their hands.

Pons was the guinea pig of the event, volunteering to have the RFID chip implanted into his skin, ostensibly to give him the ability to unlock the door of his house without a key. Because recently implanted microchips cannot be programmed until 48 to 72 hours after implantation, a second man—identified only as “Pau”—came on stage to demonstrate how the technology could be used to make cashless payments.

Banc Sadabell, the fifth-largest banking corporation in Spain, hosted the event. Anna Puigoriol, who serves as its financial services manager, hailed it as a demonstration of “what the future of payments could be.”

This convergence of transhumanism and mobile communications is another stepping stone in the telecom industry’s advance toward the launch of the “global brain” by 2030. But this was foretold in the book of Revelation, specifically these Scripture readings:

And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also, it causes all, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark: that is the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: Let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666 (Rev. 13:15-18).
